Average HDR gaming TV

I missed the 499 price back in black Friday, but it got it for 599 this time around. But LG is running a promotion to give you 100 dollars in streaming or gaming services (like Xbox, Netflix, etc.)…so I guess that’s good, as I just got my series x. Now about the TV, I have to say colors are great and etc…etc…Not a CX Oled (trust me NOT AT ALL) but still a great looking TV. Here Is where my issues started…Xbox Series X games in HDR dark rooms are impossible to see anything, just too dark. In SDR, great but HDR impossible. I tried everything possible to get this tv to help with the darkness in dark rooms. I got this TV just for gaming, but HDR for me is unplayable. I have been using SDR for now, tv looks great anyway, but I feel like I am missing something. I wish LG would let you change the gamma settings when in game mode hdr, but unfortunately they are greyed out. After paying at my friend’s house in his LG CX Oled…I am rethinking my purchase. Overall for 499 (after promotion) is an ok TV.
