    Open box not worth the time or risk!!!

    Bought open box that had reportedly been inspected by the Geek squad. Drove an hour to get it. Spent hours setting it up. Watch it for an hour. Woke up the following morning and turned tv on. No sound. Followed all steps to fix, no sound. Did full set up again and still no sound. Had to pack it up a d drive it back an hour to the store. I don't suggest open box! Not worth the 4 hours of driving and several hours of set up. Oh, there was Zero customer service to even rate. Not even bad customer service. I have met more excitable people at a funeral home.

    The lighting on this TV is horrible. It lights by sections so when you're gaming or watching something dark it looks like garbage.

    OK TV but not compatible with older amplifiers

    Great TV for the price However it lacks a 2.5mm audio out and a RCA audio out. Hence you will need to buy an optical cable and also a optical to analog cables for about $50.

    Worst. TV. Ever.

    Hot garbage is the best way to describe this tv. Upon first plugging it in and turning it on, the side lit edges gave off that old LCD glow that we all dread. The definition on the oS was grainy, the panel didn’t even look like 4K resolution when viewing anything in 4K, the auto game Reaponse turned the screen all matter of shades of pink and green. And to top it off, the thing randomly would shut itself off. I wouldn’t give this tv to my worst enemy. I truly believe this is where I stop buying LG products.

    The LG NanoCell tv I purchased was defective. The picture was dark and not clear. The adjustments did not function properly. When I returned this tv to Best Buy, I noticed another exact LG model that had also been returned. When I went to look at the display model again, it had been taken down. I was advisedBest Buy was no longer selling this model. I had to pay additional cost to purchase a same size Sony, that is satisfactory. I wont buy another LG product.

    Best COMPUTER gaming monitor for the price

    TL;DR: If you are considering a large screen computer monitor, and don't want to spend $1500+ on the much better 48" LG CX model, the 49" Nano85 is awesome for only $600 (and some deals have offered it for as low as $500). Comments/Details: While I don't necessarily disagree with the ratings as a TV, I don't believe it captures the extreme value as a large gaming monitor. I wanted to replace two monitors with 1 large one in 4K that would also work as a gaming monitor in 1440p. My video card is an nVidia 2070 Super and even though this TV isn't on the official G-SYNC supported list - it works great. For regular Windows use, the text is crisp (using 150% zoom) and no issues with distortion. For gaming, I get 50-60fps on all the games I play with graphics settings fully maxed for quality. (Though I'm not into the competitive online shooters - mainly single player FPS and RPG - so I don't notice any issues with lag or response time). Certainly, no issues with clipping or quality. Remember, there are very few TVs that have the 120Hz natively along with the AMD FreeSync and VRR at this size and price. The others start with those features at 55". Having this 49" TV as my computer monitor on my desk is borderline obscene and while 55" won't fit underneath the shelving, more than 50" 4K at 2-3' will definitely strain the neck. Also, LG just released a firmware specifically supporting the HDMI 2.1 spec for the nVidia 3000-series video cards (the 2000-series cards only outputs 60Hz, but you can "overclock" it to output at 120Hz via the nvidia control panel). Control wise - it's a bit wonky and not perfect. I realize it's not a computer monitor, so you will need to spend some time to adjust those settings - just don't lose that remote! Again, for a console gaming TV or a regular TV where you expect to be further away from the screen - you can do better. For sitting on your desk less than 3 feet away to work and play - you won't.

    After two weeks of use, having one defective pixel, and two areas of big shading when displaying pure RGB pictures. Will return it.

    Really truly hate this TV - no I don’t want an LG shopping app on my home screen!? Or the other half a dozen garbage LG apps that I am not able to delete. Has anyone ever used any of this!? This TV is like having a paid billboard in your house. Sucks in many other ways too, eg dropping wifi connections, but can’t go lower than one star so will leave at that.

    Giving up after TWO attempts

    Really wanted to love this TV. My first on was dead out of the box. Figured it was a fluke. Returned it for a straight replacement. Less than 2 months later the TV now has a sound problem. Took 2 days on support chat trying different fixes. Now LG wants to send out tech but I have no confidence with brand. Will try to return for Sony.

    This is a great TV! The picture is amazing, vivid colors, smooth video, 4K resolution. The sound on the TV is pretty good as well. Both sound and video has some presets which do a great job to get the quality you are looking for: music, movies, sports, etc. The remote is pretty easy to use as well. Think of a computer mouse using the remote. If you don't like that you can use the four way arrows to move around as well. Very nicely thought out. For streaming we have several options installed: Disney +, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Youtube. And there are buttons on the remote for Netflix and Amazon which is nice if you have those services. If you don't have satellite or cable for TV, just connect to the internet for some free TV services. That was a nice surprise. As far a gaming goes, currently there are no drivers for PC. The generic drivers on windows 10 sets the frame rate to 30 hz. I did ask to see if someone could send me drivers, but support didn't know of any when I asked. Until the drivers come out, I would say not to try using this for gaming as the game play is not pleasant for anyone that has played at low frame rates. I'm sure once there are drivers available and we can get a good frame rate this experience will be much better. With the picture quality it will be amazing to play some games. For me, this isn't enough to drop stars because drivers will come. The only part that I would be mindful of is the legs on the bottom of the TV. When it is screwed on, the TV does move back and forth where the screw is at. If its wall mounted it will be solid. But if on a table or console, if it takes a hit for some reason not sure how well it would do. If you want check it, go to the store and see. Maybe its just this set I received, this would be my only feedback on what to look at. Great price, amazing picture, and really good sound for built in speakers. I'm very happy with this purchase!

    The built in Wifi on the tv often disconnects for no reason. (You can turn it off and on but resetting the TV is the only option that works). It's not a problem with my Wifi because all my other devices stay connected. I've only had this TV for a short time and it's having issues right after it's outside the 30 day warranty. Seriously something to consider when making a big purchase.

    horrible backlight bleed

    Had to sadly return it due to the horrible backlight bleed from a IPS panel and the blacks are badly washed out. The input lag is really low and has hdmi 2.1 4k 120Hz but the terrible blacks and horrible local dimming zone feature is what really made me return it.

    No parts came in the box

    There was no parts in the box at all. Not even a power cord. We drove almost an hour for it and was extremely disappointed. We should be given an option to do spot check by opening the package to double check all items are included in box before leaving the store. Better yet, throw in the extras just in case..

    The TV says 49” Nano but actual size of TV was only 43”. The OS web will not allow download of any apps or software which LG is not partner with. Purchased a streaming service to watch but couldn’t be configured due to restrictions. Decided to return for wrong size and non flexibility.

    Easy set up, right out of the carton. The smart remote functions as a mouse to navigate the on screen display- really cool feature! I find the the display a bit too dark, trying different setting, it takes a bit of getting used to! Very nice TV at a reasonable price.

    4k 120Hz gaming ready!

    I bought this TV back in 2021. Thanks to its HDMI 2.1 and the firmware updates LG has pushed since purchase, it now supports 4K@120Hz NATIVE. I use this TV for gaming with my RX 6700XT as its driving force, paired with eARC out to my LG S95QR surround system. Pros: 4k@120Hz / HDR / FreeSync - great for gaming Cons: HDR is not as good as an OLED, but still good

    Hopefully, I will eventually receive my TV, bracket, and installation. I am not holding my breath. The delivery has been rescheduled THREE times so far! Ugh, what a disaster. Also, the "purchase date" below is not right.

    The TV is very trash. I got it because of the new Xbox and when I hopped on the picture just looked really really dark it’s horrendous and sometimes unplayable. You can barely see anything smh
