My old Blu-ray player had worn it's self out. I needed something easy to use, and this LG unit fit the requirements. I connected it to my internet hub, although I am not quite sure why this would be an advantage to me since I only desire to play dvd's. If this one lasts a long as my old one lasted, it will be part of my inheritance to my children.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old blu-ray player that suddenly died. The old blu-ray player was always rather noist when playing discs. That what makes this player so nice is that it plays discs very quietly. Other nice features is it's ability to upgrade blu-ray discs to a slightly higher resolution, and of course play UHD 4K discs. I would recommend this player for anyone who would like to watch 4K discs.

If you need a good 4k bluray player without all the bells and whistles then you will be happy with this player. MY 4k tv already has all the apps on it like most tvs nowadays. So you don't really need the bluray player to do much else than play 4k blurays and this player does that well. Got it for $99 during black friday which is a great deal.

Even older movies look great using this HD player in combination with my HD tv. It is thin and fits easily on shelf below tv.

First off, huge difference in price so I was worried about the quality. Turns out that without the internet connection the cost is much lower. No need for internet connection when everything else on you TV is already connected and has all the needed apps. This player by far was a great investment not only does it play my 4k videos but really makes a difference on my Blue-Rays also.

I was in the market for a new 3D blu-ray player since mine was being stupid. I wasn't looking for 4k but the price was too good to pass up. I'm so glad I bit the bullet and got this one. The picture looks great on blu-rays that I've already watched. It's like I'm watching them all over again. Even my wife who never notices great picture commented on how great it looks. It pauses so quickly and plays just as quickly. I love this player and hope it gives me years of pleasure.

this does exactly what i wanted it to do. Play DVD or blue rays in good quality. Good quality and did not break the bank on it.

I purchased this LG after returning a Panasonic that was dead on arrival. I originally avoided purchasing a LG due to the poor performance of the original LG I purchased that stopped working just over a year after purchasing it. This LG is a newer model, but works the same as the original I purchased and plays disk with a quality picture. I hope this player last longer.
