Great for family movie night!

With all of the gaming consoles not including disc players anymore, we found ourselves with a ton of movies we couldn't watch. This unit is perfect for watching movies. Easy to setup and use and the $$ we spent on all of those DVD's isn't going waisted.

4k Blu-ray and no silly frills

The picture is great, the remote works great. No streaming stuff, and that's great, because I would never use a disc player's streaming over a Roku, Amazon stick, etc. This is the way to do it, and the price is great. Really solid build too!

LG Disappointed

I could have lived with but it happened too often where it got annoying.Was going to exchange it for the same model but read other reviews about the glitch so I upgraded to a more expensive Sony that had a better picture and sound and no glitches

If You Watch BluRay This Little Guy is Terrific

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We needed to replace an inexpensive DVD player we owned that had a very confusing remote (without any light to indicate if the player was on or off — weird oversight by that manufacturer.) We have been able to watch dozens of BluRay DVD movies by borrowing from our local library. They’re free and the titles we like are available (most of the time.) So after doing a little research we located the LG. What a difference! Even on our 720 dpi resolution TV screen this makes the color much more vivid and compelling visually. The remote is easy to navigate, lightweight, and easy to control in one hand. The drawer has a very smooth in-and-out glide, and makes no discernible noise. Perfect little player. And by the way, it has a red/green power light to let you know it’s on or off. Makes a difference in a darkened room. Yes, I know, DVDs aren’t streaming. But if you’re looking for a great price/performance balance I’m fairly certain this little guy (LG? unintended!) is the way to go.

4k is worth it

But I finally got one and one I put on one of my 4k movies. Wow the picture quality is so much better. Even had my 62 yr old father come in and ask if he sees a different. Sure enough he told me flat out the picture is clear to him as well. Worth getting and now I'm gonna buy the mcu movies in 4k

Works Great

It's a blu-ray player not a super computer. Anyways, the only gripe that I have is the remote. It's just too small for my liking. The buttons are tiny and you have to be pointing the remote straight at the unit to make something happen. Not a big deal really but worth mentioning.
