Ever since the last software upgrade several months ago the picture will sometimes freeze up when fast forwarding the disc. It only happens occasionally, maybe once every 6-10 times you fast forward the movie. The player won't respond to any commands from the remote. I have to either unplug the player or hold the power button for about 10 seconds to get it to reset. But this causes the player to go back to the beginning of the disc and I have to find the spot where it froze up to resume watching the movie again. I like LG products but this unit has soured my confidence in their products. I will be buying a new Blu-ray DVD player and I will be looking at other manufacturers to see what they offer.

This LG UBK80 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player is really amazing and great. I had a Samsung Blu-Ray Disc Player but the disc would skip on the player a lot and was frustrated by that. With this LG UBK80 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player no disc skips at all even when the movie is playing. Also I like the fact this is a bare bones 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player no Internet Apps etc. and I like that. Also standard Blu-Ray Discs , DVD Discs and CD's play really well. Overall I like this 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player from LG and give it a 10 out of 10 !!! Great player and so glad I got it.

This was a black Friday special - I couldn't pass it up! I just purchased a 65" smart TV and needs to amplify my sound - what a great idea! Such an improvement over the regular tv speakers! Great deal.

If you are not looking for all the extras on your 4K player because you already have them on your TV then this is a great player for you. It delivers an excellent picture for dvds, blu-rays and 4K discs.

Works great. Huge improvement with UHD over Blu-ray. Great 4K UHD player for anyone looking to upgrade.

I Love my new LG 4K Blu-Ray Player. I got it yesterday with my new LG TV. I watched a 4K Blu-Ray movie on it last night and it was awesome, the picture was so clear. I really loved it.

Looks really good with my TCL TV. I hooked up to direct, and also hooked it through my Yamaha processor. Couldn't tell the difference which says a lot since one is $1,000 and the other one is 179...

This is an excellent buy. It's easy to set-up and quick to use. The only drawback is that it doesn't have wi-fi. It has a LAN port which made it easy to hook-up with a 25ft Ethernet cable. Glad I bought it though.

We purchased this to go with an LG television for our vacation property. We haven’t really used it much but it integrates easily with the television and the picture is good.

Overall I am very pleased with the product, although It doesn’t have all sorts of fancy features sometimes simple and done right is better. The 4K quality is great and it is easy to set up and use.

Ok but does not always work as smoothly as possible. Already have smart 4K tv, and stream all I have time to watch. However, I didn’t want to pay extra money for more features and so this one would make me see and use the the 4K and ultra movies. So this was the one and the options were limited, so again I went cheaper and slimmer. It has its moments but it doesn’t interface with my SoundTouch or tv remotes and has moments when it will freeze if it is in pause mode for too long. Once the screen goes into a longer screen hold then I cannot get the movie screen back until it is off for a few days. So I can’t say it’s crap but it isn’t right either?

This player works great with standard blu ray as well as 4k discs. No wifi streaming options but do not need it with both Roku and smart TV.

Purchased to replace our home theater Blu-ray player to upgrade to 4k. We stream most of our movies but have a Blu-ray collection we wanted to keep. The LG UBK80 was the perfect choice for us.

Love this player had great picture and sound quality.

The product is everything I was expecting and the quality of the sound and picture are excellent.

Unlike earlier Blu-Ray players, the lag time between inserting a disk and playing it is minimal. This unit performs superbly in every aspect of play.

Have only watched 5 or so movies. Outstanding in every respect. Remote is smaller than I desire making the keys a little difficult to push and access easily but I'm getting used to it.

I've run into a couple 4k movies that won't play on this at all. Thankfully I have a Series X to test and make sure it's not the disc. Otherwise it works great as a primary player.

The UBK80 is simple to set up and use. It plays DVDs flawlessly. I purchased UBK80 instead of the UBK90 because it did not feature a wi-fi option. The remote is comprehensive and user friendly.
