My New BluRay

I use it to watch DVD's, Blu Rays. and listen to some of my old CD's. I like buying all of my electronics from Best Buy because of their no-hassle service and because of the extremely helpful Geek Squad.

Does not play nice with other devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this player for 2 years, and really wish LG would issue an update that would fix the one super annoying design flaw on what would otherwise be a perfect addition to anyone looking for 4K support on a Blu-ray player at a low price point. The good: Plays discs well. 4K playback looks great. Due to lack of bloated apps, unit starts up fast, and can get a disc playing quickly. The bad: Let's get one thing straight--for techies and gamers, there is no such thing as a TV with enough video inputs. This necessitates the use of video switching devices. Modern HDMI switches will typically have an auto-sensing feature that will automatically switch between devices when you turn something on or off. However, this player, even when in OFF/Standby mode, continues to keep the HDMI signal alive, making it impossible for an HDMI switch to detect that the device has been switched off, and that it is OK to switch to a different device. So, it becomes necessary to unplug this player (or put it on a power strip that can be turned off) in order for the HDMI switch to be able to switch to other devices properly.
