I am enjoying this 4k dvd player. They hooked it up to t.v. instead of ethernet cable. I did not need the streaming apps on it my L.G. tv already has them on it. The picture is very clear & it is simple to use. It makes my older DVDs look good also. Highly recommend.

This was my second attempt to replace on old Blu-ray player with a new one. The Samsung model was totally unsatisfactory, because it did not perform its functions reliably. The only problem with the LG is that it requires Internet for installation but does not support WiFi. That means that I would not be able to install this device in my bedroom! Nevertheless, it performs all functions properly (which I could not say about the Samsung).

The blu ray player is awesome and doesnt require wifi. Pop in a 4k and watch in crystal clarity. The only down side is my 1 yo lost the remote and the player is pretty much useless aside from certain movies because there is absolute no way to play disney movies for example because you can't hit play to select a language or as an "OK" button. Other than that when I had the remote it was great.

Plays 4k, bluray, and dvd. Pretty simple but no streaming or wifi.

We have had this unit for about three weeks and are very happy with it. This is a non-wifi unit, (no apps or streaming without additional services thru the USB connection) with excellent picture, fast loading, simple remote, quiet operation, upscaling and HDR compatibility at a good price. If you want the same player with more options try the UBK 90. This one works great.

This is a great Blu-ray player. Picture and sound are great when playing a Blu-ray disc. Even dirty, scratched discs from the library play without a hitch. Picture and sound are also very good when playing DVDs. We have not had any problems with this Blu-ray player. So far so good.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband....he loves it! He wanted LG since we have a LG TV and sound system. It was very easy to install and the picture quality while playing a 4k movie is fantastic! We haven't played a regular bluray movie in it yet, but very satisfied with this player.

This Blu-Ray 4K UHD Player is a great unit!!! It's the first 4K unit I've ever owned and am very impressed with it's picture. It has all of the normal features one would expect to see and they all seem to work great. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and can highly recommend it to others!

This is a great DVD player. I hesitated at first since I have a Samsung smart TV, but it was so easy to install and use. Great remote and great picture quality on older non-HD/4K DVD’s. I have out of production sets I needed a FVD player to watch, and the quality upgrades to at least HD on them.

Simply Perfect. Easy setup, great picture (helps to have a 4K TV) and perfect sound. I read the reviews, including the "Consumer Reports" ratings and reviews before I made the purchase. My Dad always toold me "you get what you pay for". This LG is really top shelf.

The old Blu-ray player died. This one looks good and has performed perfectly. I can't comment on the 4K performance because I still have an old Panasonic plasma HD tv. But I can say that the processing of the sound through my home theater setup is terrific, a great improvement over the old player.

So I have about 7 different devices I can use to watch streaming services on my Ultra HDTV as is, and obviously didn't need yet another device for that. All I wanted was a quality 4k Blu Ray player to enjoy my growing movie collection with. LG is one of the best manufacturers out there, so I knew they would deliver. That combined with the amazing price point made this the obvious choice for the player I wanted to buy. After watching a few movies on 4k disc and on regular Blu Ray I can confirm that the playback quality is flawless. Everything is displayed in the utmost detail, HDR is handled well, loading into a disc takes 2-5 seconds, fast forward and rewind features are all handled brilliantly. Menu navigation and setup are simple and straightforward, as should be. There's even some great options for color tweaking; warm color, cold color, and a vivid color option which makes older movies in particular look a lot better. Everything about the playback and functionality is flawless. All of this is exactly what I expected, but something that completely took me by surprise is the quality of the automatic upconversion of non-4k discs: it's absolutely unbelievable. You would be in many ways hard pressed to tell the difference between a 1080 Blu Ray and a 4k disc in many ways, not only is the sharpness greatly improved but the color reproduction is greatly enhanced as well. Before I had this player I just watched Blu Ray discs on a PS3 or a PS4 Pro, the PS4 Pro very unfortunately does no upconversion at all, even though it easily could, and I could never go back to using it. Truly, this is THE player to get, and I would grab one before you can no longer find them.

I was looking for an affordable 4K UHD player that did nothing but strictly play discs. I did not want any of the streaming services as my smart TV is already capable so this was my choice. Works like a champ on my LG C1.

This 4K UHD player is perfect for the price. I wanted to go with a Samsung for product continuity but they seem to want to bundle their DVD players with all the apps that I have no use for (most UHD TVs already have the same apps) and they price their products accordingly. This player is barebones but has exactly the features you need to watch 4K content from 4K discs.
