Pretty standard 4K Blu-ray player, however if anything you're watching on it is quiet, you can hear the player rumbling away. Also, it may not be a big issue to anyone else, but if you have any other LG devices, chances are the remote for that device will control this and vice versa. It can be a tad annoying, but easily enough to workaround.

No problem setting up the Blu Ray player. Once again the Geek Squad gentlemen knew what he was doing and explained everything .

The LG UBK80 does everything it should for its price. HDR10 support allows it to play any Ultra HD Blu-ray, and 4K upscaling enhances standard Blu-rays. Got it on sale for $99. Cons: No Dolby Vision No WiFi (not a big deal if your TV does) No online streaming services offered (also not a big deal if your TV does)

I needed a good Blue ray player that plays all formats. This purchase was worth it but I wished that they would have made it more compact.

Get a 4k hdmi. Easy setup and recognition from smart tv

Does the job well for watching 4k movies, I recommend it.

Just got it as a Christmas gift so not used much yet but so far so good. The manual to hook up and make use of options is sketchy and refers you to go online for detailed info and you can print the detailed manual from there. Haven't done that yet so using as basic. player right now.

This is a very sleek unit that is very quiet and works exceptionally well. I wish I could have found a unit that had multiple disk options for the audio usage, but it seems to no longer exist with new technology.

So far this has been a great purchase and easy to use.

Seems to work ok, so far, I guess, and if that's all you care about then fine. I don't know why it has to come on every time I fire up my system, without a direct command to do so. Also, not sure why it is so large, comparable Sony systems are not nearly as big of a foot print.

The first player I ordered arrived defective and wouldn't power on. A quick trip to Best Buy for a return and reorder and I had a replacement in about a week. While it's use has been limited, I have no complaints thus far. It's played every disc I've asked it to and it's quite responsive.

My old dvd player is still working, but I wanted to get the full 4K experience with a 65" smart TV. Even regular dvd's look good, Blue rays, are pretty darn sharp, and movies in 4K with surround sound and a sub-woofer are like going to the theater...only the popcorn is less expensive.

Very good value. Performs like a higher end player.

Since I own a ROKU TV, I did not need smart features. They would just be redundant. I was delighted to find a dedicated machine from a reputable company. I would have given it 5 stars, but on rare occasions I get a few random artifacts on playback. Not the only player I have experienced this with and much better than others.

This blueray LG works well. Have other LG. Never had a problem. Have Blueray player. Still works. Need to up grade to a 4K. I would recommend this item.

A simple, but effective design. With today’s technology, and TV’s having app the connection abilities, having a player with much of the same is unnecessary redundancy. I just wanted a player that we could drop a movie in and watch it. Pairs well with our LG TV
