I needed a basic player for 4K discs and this delivered. Sure it’s missing some features, but this meets my needs and is a great value if you get it on sale. 4K looks amazing and I love that it will play my DVDs and CDs too.

We purchased this unit to go along with our new LG TV. It's very basic. You put the UHD disk in & hit play. It does not have any other streaming content like most devices today. So if you want that, then compare to similar models with those features. This unit works well with our TV Remote as well. But the (LG) remote is capable of working with other brands as well, so that shouldn't be the only deciding factor (in my opinion). If you get any UHD player, be sure and get a UHD rated HDMI cable to with that. Factor that into your expense. Overall, I am pleased with the unit. We have had good luck with the LG brand in the past as well.

Amazing ease of use, GORGEOUS picture quality. An upgrade that’s just worth it all the way around.

I wanted a simple Bluray/DVD player without all the streaming/wifi extras and this meets that criteria. Ive used it almost daily, for years, with our extensive DVD collection. Never have any problems with it. I probably should have bought 2 of them in case they discontinue it.

Definitely a good buy, I wasn’t interested in the other unit that comes with WiFi. Easy to install, sleek design.. all for under $100

First LG T.V. and bundle I absolutely love it. Clear picture and easy to connect. I waited to give a review. After having my LG bundle it still works great like day one.

No WiFi, no apps, no streaming. It just plays every kind of disc and does it well. The last thing I needed was another streaming device, so this was just what the doctor ordered. And the price is great.

Upgraded to this Blu-ray player from a older dvd player after purchasing new TV. Very pleased with the quality of picture and fact that it doesn't have a bunch of features that I don't need.

Good player. I was looking for a basic no frills player since I have a smart tv already. Nice clarity although not using it on a 4K tv. Bought it mostly for the 3-D option(still have a 3-D tv and good quality 3-D players are hard to find). Although I got it on sale, I still think the price is a bit high for a non-web-enabled player. Purchased a Vizio web-enabled 3-D Blu-ray player a few years back(not 4K)-all the bells and whistles:1080p, smart player with Netflix, YouTube, Amazon and Hulu apps preinstalled, 3-D capability, region-free playback- for about $130. For a player w/o internet I believe it should be a bit lower priced. But it does what I need it to do!

This 4k player is great. This synced with my lg 4k tv makes the 4k movies look amazing. Its was also very affordable as well.

Great blu ray player. Pairs up nicely with my lg tv. Works perfectly shipping was fast. Fits perfectly under the tv. 4 star on value just because blu rays should be a little cheaper with everything going digital

This is an excellent LG 4K bluray player. It's so nice I came back to the store and i brought another one.

I wanted the capabilities to play the regular discs in my collection as well as the more advanced Blue Ray and 4K content if I desired. I already have a smart TV, Roku, Fire Stick, and stereo receiver that can stream online content so I really didn't want another. I also didn't see a need to pay much more for that option. Yes this may just be a basic unit and it probably lacks some kind of decoding options for sound and color but at my age as long as it sounds and looks good (it does) I could care less.

Need to turn on a couple minutes before using to get optimal performance. Than it's picture quality is that of a movie theater. Make sure it is not set to original screen or you will be watching a box.

Hard to find something of this quality that will play CD music and DVD video without spending over $350 for an audiophile component. I am very pleased with this unit .

The replacement LG blu-ray player is excellent. The original was shipped in damaged pieces that were boxed in the original box at the factory!

LG-UBK80 4K Ultra Hi-Res Audio Blu-Ray Player A great basic no frills Blu-Ray player that does everything very well. Priced right for what it does without having to spend a bundle.

Have to be honest, I bought this just to be able to enjoy sone 4K content on the new TV. Has handled CD'S, DVD's and Ultra DVD's with no issues. The remote is on the small side for guys with large hands.
