I looked/reviewed other brands and ultimately decided on the LG 5.2 Cubic Foot High Efficiency Top Load Washer because of its advanced features, load capacity, ease of use, and price. Bottom line, my clothes come out clean and fresh and the washer is very quite. I like that it has a direct drive motor (with a 10-year warranty) versus being belt driven. The steam setting works great and I am able to wash comforters with ease. I couldn't be more satisfied and even look forward to the next time I have to do laundry (:-)!

Super happy about this washer. Love the color and glass top & it's very easy to use. I have cut my laundry loads easily by 75%! No joke! It's a quiet machine. I was nervous about being an "he" washer and maybe not getting the clothes very clean. I haven't noticed anything coming out dirty or wrinkly as I had read in a few reviews. My only complaint is that you have to pull out the soap drawer after each load so it can dry because it retains a fair amount of water. Overall I'm extremely happy. This product was top rated in Consumer Reports for a good reason!

After much research and reading reviews I chose this LG top load, high efficiency washer and I love it! It's easy to use, huge capacity, more than enough settings to care for delicate items, baby clothes, work clothes, etc. I love that I can wash heavy items like comforters with ease. I haven't had any problems in the two months I've had my new LG washer & dryer. I couldn't be happier.

Very happy with this washer. The washer is big enough to handle all of our bedding, and yet very efficient when it comes to water and detergent use. Would definitely recommend this washer to anyone looking to buy an efficient, large capacity top loader.

This is by far the best LG Washer that I have come across. This has all features and has large cubic space to wash large clothes or sheets. It is very silent and energy efficient.

I thoroughly researched this LG washing machine prior to the purchase and after reading the consumer review for this model, I felt more at ease spending this amount of money for a washing machine. This model does a great job of cleaning my clothes, pet bedding, linens and my king size comforter. I will be purchasing the matching dryer next month. I paid close to $2,500 for a front loading GE Profile washer & dryer a few years ago due to the positive reviews on how front loading washing machines saved energy and did a better job of cleaning clothes compared to top loading machines. That may have been true a few years ago, but now the HE rated top loading machines have come a long way when it comes to saving energy and cleaning power compared to front loading machines. With front loading washers/dryers you really need the pedal stool base to raise the washing machine to a comfortable level for ease of use and you have to spend a couple hundred dollars for each stand which isn't necessary with a top loading washing machine.

Our purchase of the matched pair was a pre-emptive strike as the GE set we have had for 10 years was showing signs of major problems. We opted for a top loading washer this time becuase of the space we use for laundry and we did not like the nastyness of the front loader gaskets. We chose this particular LG due to the following reasons in order of importance 1) consumer feedback 2) capacity 3) features and 4) price.(we caught these on sale for a considerable discount). We are still getting used to all of the features and have not synched our smartphones to the set as of yet. We have tried different loads of degree of dirt/soil, 2) size and 3) type of materials. We have gotten nothing but excellent results. We are carefu to use He detergent and not use too much. The steam function on the washer has not been used yet. The steam function on the dryer has with so-so results. All in all we are very pleased with the set. Best Buy made the purchase easy with assistance from the appliance manager who had tons of knowledge.

I am new to lg brand. I have had my machines for a few months now and am very pleased. Not only do they look great but they also function very well. The washer tub is very accomodating to even the largest load. Cleans effectively and drains well wich aids in drying time. Offers a useful variety of settings and is easy to use. Hopefully they will serve me well for years to come.

Replaced a M*yt*g "commercial" washer that had blown a bearing in less than 4 years. So much for longevity. The new LG is much quieter, handles large loads with ease, has intuitive wash cycles, and even plays ringtones instead of obtrusive buzzers. We have only had the washer for a month so we don't know yet how long it will last, but so far we are very happy with the washer.

I had a front loader and decided to go back to a top loader. I am so glad I did. This washing machine washes the clothes better. It handles large comforters with ease. I like the fact the lid does not slam shut. It is quiet and has many different settings for what you need to wash. I love it!

We can get all of our family of four weeks worth of towels in one load - lots of towels. We have an older dryer and it has a hard time trying to dry such a large load. Great features like a steam setting and speed wash for lightly soiled clothes that you need in a hurry. Very quiet with a nice little tune at the end of the cycle instead of a load buzzer like our old washer.

I previously had an LG front loader. It came with our house - I hated it. My daughter bought the top loader and loved it, so I bought this LG top loader and it's fantastic! No musty smell and really quiet. Clothes come out wonderfully clean and you use very little water and even less soap!

We reviewed various brands after our current washing machine quit,at 7 years old. LG seemed to have the best reviews in reliability,among other things. I knew I wanted a top-loading,HE machine, at a "reasonable" price. The salesperson was very helpful,was able to discuss the various features intelligently,and best of all, was able to determine that this model was on "clearance" since it was last year's model,even though identical in features and general appearance to the newer version.As a result,we were able to purchase this at a "very reasonable" price. It is working well,no problems so far. The settings are a little different than my old machine,but were easy to adjust to. It makes a little chiming tune when done,which is a nice change from the beep-beep of previous machines! Cleans the clothes well,has enough options for various types of loads. I like the multiple spin speeds;low speed is great for permanent press, it leaves clothes with few wrinkles. I have not used the steam setting yet,so can't comment. It is a LARGE drum,very deep,so a short person (say less than 5'1" )might have difficulty reaching the bottom! I'm 5'5" and have to stretch a little ! I am satisfied with this purchase.

Wash tub is deep, but not as deep as the others I looked at, I am 5'4" and can just reach the bottom of the tub. Cut the number of loads I do a week in half because of the high capacity. Hard not to splash the bleach when pouring in the compartment, but that's minimal, just concerned it will bleach the graphite color I got. Quiet when running.

This is the best washing machine ever made. It can hold more clothes than we can imagine putting in it. And it cleans better than anything I've ever seen.

My wife loves this thing. It figures out how much water to use and is very quiet. The first time she used it, she thought she didn't put all of the dirty laundry in it "that can't be all the laundry, it looks so empty". She was pleasantly surprised by just how big it is. I can't say enough good things about LG washers and dryers.

We have been using this washer for four months now and are very pleased with it. It is easy to use, relatively quiet, and has reasonable cycle times. We have no complaints with the cleaning. Nice features include the glass door and user-friendly electronic controls. No regrets whatsoever at this point.

As I was waiting for the washer to arrive in the store, about 2 days, I started having second thoughts and wondered if I really needed a washer this large, this expensive, etc. But..I could hardly wait to get it home and try it out. This is without a doubt the finest washer I have ever used...and I have used a few. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient machine. Easy on water and detergent, and it spins the clothes almost dry after the rinse. I am totally happy.

This washing machine is hands down the best ever!!! It is easy to use, the tub is enormous, and our clothes are almost dry when we get them out!!! I wash a bunch of clothes (we are a family of 4 with kids who play sports) it has made my job sooo much easier!!! I love this washer!!!

was looking for washer, went to best buy and worked with sales person. found this model and love it. larger tub and new tech makes cloths cleaner. down side is it runs longer making each load take longer but less water for most loads.
