We did purchase this and after 2 days had an issue with the cleaning vent on the top . It would not come out. Contacted Best Buy and the return and replacement was effortless. Review: 1. This is excellent machine for washing any type of load. 2. Drying , this is excellent machine for drying. As Homeowner, 1. This is a good addition, but I would not have this alone in the laundry room. The reason is at some point you are going to have different clothes , and sized loads and having multiple people with laundry needs will not be resolved with this machine alone. Example: You are not going to wash and dry 7 pairs pants in under 2.5 hours or King size blanket. Not going to happen and the more clothes you have for more people the less of benefit this becomes alone. Conclusion: We have this and am happy with the purchase. We have just ordered an LG dryer also. So if needed we can dry in another machine for different types of loads. In my opinion if you don’t have the space or are single then this checks all the boxes, but if you homeowner and have more than 2+ people in the home then this is good fit with a dryer also. It’s all about the long term next 12- 15 year’s .

Have had it for about a month and really no big issues. Had to add whites load option to the interface but that was easy with the ThinQ app. Recommend smaller loads as bigger loads will take hours to complete. Great for smaller households. Also do not recommend for families who do a lot of laundry as it will take anywhere from 1.5 hours for a small pad to 3+ hours for larger loads and you’d be tying up a washer and dryer during that time instead of having multiple loads going at once.

Love this! Love only having to go to machine once. On occasion may need to run a little longer dry time. But not often and dont overfill. Holds a good size load no problem.

Pet Hair Causes a Massive & Messy Drainage Issue

    |

If you have pets, do not buy this all in one LG. The ventless system causes the hair to get all over the drain around rubber gasket of the door. I had to take a wash rag and a paper towel to clean the gasket after every single wash. I also had to remove the drainage filter on the bottom left hand side each time that I finished a load. Let me tell you that it was gross getting a palm size load of hair out of the machine. If you do forget to do this once you will get a drainage error message. To fix this problem, you need to get a shallow baking pan and unplug a small rubber hose. There is a ton of water to drain, so this means emptying the pan 3-4 times, so you are pretty much stuck watching this machine drain slow as a snail. If you don't, you will probably make an even bigger mess like I did. Water ended up all over the floor. At first I loved this machine. It does take forever, and it routinely has been 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, but not changing the laudry over was nice. It took a lot of the hair off of the clothes, but the machine having a drainage issue all the time is a deal breaker. I cannot spend that much time and energy cleaning a machine just to use it.

Hi there, Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. I'm truly sorry to hear about the struggles you've been facing with your LG all-in-one machine. It sounds like it's been a very frustrating experience, especially with the ventless system causing hair to clog the drain and gasket. Having to clean the gasket and drainage filter after every wash must be tiring. Dealing with a drainage error and having to manually drain the water multiple times just adds more inconvenience. It's disappointing to hear that a machine you initially liked has turned into such a hassle to maintain. Your frustration and disappointment are completely understandable. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris LG

Absolutely love this washer/dryer combo. I will never forget about a load of washed clothing again! It has a ton of settings to accommodate different loads of laundry, sizes, etc. The size of the washer is great- a king sized comforter fits. The app is also a nice touch. It sends notifications when cycles are done, updates are available, etc. You can even customize the display welcome screen & chime that plays when the wash/dry cycle is done. Easy installation & space saver. *it is heavy! Make sure you have strong help if you are planning to self install & pick up.

Awesome Washer and Dryer in One unit!

This WashCombo is definitely a leap in the laundry sphere. It is a spacious washer to accommodate your needs from a King size duvet to a load full of all kinds of clothes. It is able to determine the load weight and the degree of soil and adjust the water to wash everything properly. This is an awesome appliance that will allow you to load it and not worry about transferring it to a dryer as it will take care of drying in the same unit. It doesn't require 240V and can be plugged in to any 120V outlet. No more need to vent it either! It does a good job drying and just don't overstuff it so it has enough of space to distribute the heat inside the drum. I really like the detergent dispenser, no more need to guess the amounts of detergent, this WashCombo will do it for, and you can adjust it even more if you want to in the ThinQ app. I really like using this WashCombo and highly recommend it to any family out there.

I was very skeptical about buying this for several reasons not fond of front load, the fact that it is just a 120 out not 220 and reviews about the drying. After now using it for about a month and figuring out all the bells and whistles i really like it. Yes it takes a little longer to dry things like towels and bedding but it took longer with regular dryer. The heat is not has hot so when you take clothes out of it you might not think that they are dry but they are. I think also because the heat is not as hot as in regular dryer the clothes will last longer. I would highly recommend. It is nice to just put a load in and walk away. I did also download the Think IQ app which lets you know when the load is done.

    Unnecessary Annoyances

This washer does its job well enough but I gave it a 4 star review instead of a 5 because it seems to confirm my feeling that pretty much everything in modern life is designed or manufactured by 4 year-olds in the Far East who don't use the product. Specifically, it washes and dries the clothes, which is its job. On the positive side there is practically no vibration, which is always a concern with from loaders. The negatives are minor but they are also totally unnecessary. First, why not an option for a white color? Second, why is the door viewer black? It seems intuitive that the interior should be visible. Why is the Fresh Care default Off? Also, Fresh Care can't be set to default to On, it has to be set to On for each load. Additionally, why can't I set the unit to skip the warnings about detergent being absent and to clean the lint basket. I use detergent sheets and know to clean lint every time I use the unit. Finally, why are there no Low Heat and No Heat options on the dryer aspect. These are things which anyone who has washed (and dried) a few wash loads would know. Despite the annoyances, I am keeping the unit because I can start it before going to work and come home to a finished laundry load. However, perhaps LG should open a design and manufacturing facility in the United States.

Excellent washer and dryer! Very easy to use, just follow the prompts when starting the wash machine and dryer! The tub is large enough to easily handle king size bed sheets and pillow cases and dries them totally in the indicated time! The combo dryer is ventless, therefore there is and need to have a vent from the combo dryer to the outside!

I love my all-in-one. The space in my apartment for a washer and dryer is designed for a stacked unit. I hate those, they are so small. The all-in one is a full size washer and dryer that fits in that space. The only downside is that I can only do one load at a time, not have a load drying while another is washing.

The All in one is not quite ready for the market! I first had the GE "twice" it was a problem and sent it back, then tried the LG which was recommended to me by Pacific Sales rep. This is the second one the first purchase lint box stuck in place and we ordered a replacement. The replacement has been in our home about a month, the first few days our clothes came out wet!! We have one setting we now use for everything "it takes time to figure out the many available settings" WAY TOO MUCH WORK!! finally though the one setting is working ok, BUT once in a while it keeps drying past the normal dry time and the machine gets hot and needs to be shut down, so I am afraid to leave it on while I am out. To me they are great but it takes a long time to wash and dry and then babysit the machine. Also they do not take a large load or large comforters. For 3 grand if I had a better way to vent the normal machines I would stay with them many times over!

This washer dryer combo should have stayed in BETA testing. It's absolute garbage. Clothes don't come clean like your used to. I believe the washer just washes the soap down the drain, because the clothes have no smell whatsoever after completing washing. Worse than that, it requires at least 1 additional drying cycle before clothes are dry and usually 3. LG support is not good. they said they would have someone come to look at it and kept telling me by text for weeks that they were still trying to find someone to come look at it. They finally said they couldn't find someone in my area, but I live in a town of 7000 people but 20min from 2 towns of 40,000+. I'm guessing that they simply don't want to pay a tech a reasonable fee to come here. Also, meanwhile they sent some tech by text to help me and he was nasty and insisted that my drain hose was too far down the drain pipe and so I positioned it as he suggested and same poor result. After that he had no advise for me. This thing was expensive and it is simply useless. There's a lint trap that you must clean after every use and in spite of that lint clogs up a hose at the bottom front of the machine that you have access to and to unclog it, you have to drain a couple of gallons of water into a shallow pan meaning many trip to the sink with a shallow pan of water. How do you think that works out? And after that, it's functionality is still horrible. The worst part is that we've only used this machine about 10 times and lint is everywhere. Without that blower blowing the lint outside it's trapped everywhere in this machine. I've always bought Samsung until this expirement and I'm guessing Samsung has worked these issues out, so eventually I'll get one of those. In the meantime, I'm very glad we kept our old Samsung washer and dryer which is what we currently use.

We were impressed with the ability the unit can do. It’s exactly what a retired couple needs. No hassle with moving clothes to the dryer. Select the cycle you want and walk away. All clothes will be washed and dried when you’re ready to take them out. Some cycles are long on cycle time, but we’re retired. No problem with time. For a large family with a lot of dirty clothes, this unit probably won’t fit your needs. We love it.

I love it for the most part. It keeps giving me an error saying drain clogged and I don’t know why. I also don’t like the fact that I can’t just dry something when it doesn’t fully dry and it needs a little more time to dry. The best feature for me is it being ventless.

We actually bought two of these units to replace our existing washer and dryer. Figure, why not run two loads at once and not have to change from washer to dryer in between?! Worked great for the first couple of months. Now starting to have significant issues getting loads to dry appropriately. I've called in to LG customer support multiple times and every time I get a lecture about how these units are different, etc. I've cleaned every filter I can. I've cleaned the condenser. They refuse to send out a technician to look at the units because they don't want someone to come out and have it not be an issue that is their responsibility and now they have to charge me for the service call. I'd give the product itself 4 out of 5 stars. Customer service 1 star

I find the drying feature to work perfectly fine with reasonably sized loads, and this machine is a lifesaver if you are like me and don't have a dryer vent in a condo or apartment. But, there are some serious quality control problems on my machine. The washing machine struggles with anything even remotely bulky or heavy such as a plush cotton bathmat. I think it is not to handle anything with more bulk than sheets. I've had lots of problems while still under warranty including only being able to use the gentle cycle and having the dryer never shut off even after the clothes are bone dry. I would not buy again.
