So far, so good. This thing is big. It replaced a washer we had for nearly 15 years, and we basically doubled the size. It's deep and even when putting a full hamper of clothing in, it's about half way full. My favorite feature is the wifi and the ability to receive a text when the laundry is done, we even get a notification on our connected lg tv. Pretty cool tech.

Very nice and high quality washer; don't let the menu fool you, it's relatively easy to use. And for those of you who are like me, and like bells and whistles, there's enough to go around. Love the bluetooth functionality, just set grab your phone and start it when you're ready. You get notifications when a load is done, saving you all the back and forth and/or the forgetting altogether.

A bit noisy compared to my older LG front loader, but I’m in an apartment with laundry between kitchen and livingroom. I’ve gotten used to it! No permanent press cycle.....I have to get used to that. Speed cycle is great! Tub is plenty big for my biggest blankets and comforters. And I like that it has the option of adding extra water to the load if you feel it’s needed.

This washing machine has a very large capacity, yet only uses just enough water to make the clothes clean. It weighs the clothes by spinning it up a little and then stopping, the energy it takes to stop the rotation relates to the weight of the clothes about to be washed. Very neat way of weighing the clothes.

I have previously had a front loader. Just recently purchased a top loader and have not looked back. I can sleep better a night knowing that water is not pouring out of the front of my washing machine (even though it never did, just quit working). This LD model has lots of bells and whistles but is easy to learn how to operate. Wish I had made this change many months ago. Love my LD top loading washer.

Good CR Rating / useless Wifi

I bought this machine when the Whirlpool Calypso top loader broke down (fried mainboard). The Whirlpool was in desperate need of new tub stabilization (however it does that: Shock absorbers?) because it wobbled like mad. CR said that LG is the best right now, so I went with it. In the entire month I have had it, there have been no mechanical issues. It does not wobble itself all over the room, so win. There are two issues for us: 1) the soak cycle is not great. Before we could soak for 99 minutes. Now it's about 30. 2) The wifi feature is largely useless. It only connects to 2.4 GHz, does not set up the way the documentation says (The Internet knows the workaround: It's a well-known issue), and when you have it going it's mostly good for letting you know remotely when the machine is done washing something. You cannot set up a wash cycle you have designed: to get things washed that way I want to do it, I have to do it from the panel. Makes no sense. It's an app! why not let me set up a cycle and save it? You can choose on (only one) of their cycles and make it the default, but there is no way to build your own. The remote start is useless because you have to use the front panel to tell it you are going to remote start it. Since I am there at the panel, might as well start it! Will wait and see if it lasts. CR has it with better than average reliability, so hopefully, this will last longer than the 8 or so years the Calypso did.

This is a very good washing machine. I was hesitant to buy it because there is no agitator, but it works out great--holds more clothes and there is no need to keep clothes from the center knob like our former Maytag washer. My only complaint is I wish the sound notification upon finish would be a little louder; tough to hear when I'm in another part of the house.
