Performance - 5/5
I can't emphasize enough how well this washer performs. The 5.0 cu. ft. capacity is a blessing for handling larger loads, making laundry days a whole lot quicker. And the built-in intelligence is like having a laundry guru in my home – it senses the load size and adjusts the water and wash time accordingly. Efficiency at its finest!
Smart Features - 5/5
The smart capabilities blew me away. Being able to control and monitor the washer from my phone is a dream come true. I can start a load when I'm not even home – perfect for a busy lifestyle. Plus, the notifications telling me when the cycle is done are a small yet brilliant touch.
Steam Cleaning - 4/5
The steam option is a nice touch for tackling stubborn stains and refreshing clothes. It's not a total miracle worker, but it definitely adds that extra oomph to the cleaning process.
Design - 5/5
The washer's sleek white design is clean and modern, blending seamlessly into my laundry room. The door opens wide, making loading and unloading hassle-free. And as someone who appreciates aesthetics, I'm pleased to say it's a winner in this department.
Energy Efficiency - 5/5
Energy and water efficiency are huge pluses here. I've noticed a significant drop in my utility bills, and I'm thrilled about reducing my environmental footprint.
Quiet Operation - 5/5
I can't believe how quiet this washer is. Seriously, I can have a conversation or watch TV without being interrupted by loud machine noise. It's a small thing, but it makes a world of difference.
Installation and Stacking - 4/5
Installation was a bit more involved, especially when it came to stacking the dryer on top. However, once it was set up, the space-saving benefits were totally worth it.
Value - 4/5
Now, I won't lie – this washer isn't the cheapest option out there. But considering the performance, smart features, and energy efficiency, it's an investment that pays off in the long run.
Overall - 4.5/5
To sum it up, the LG 5.0 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer with Steam and Built-In Intelligence is a game-changer for my laundry routine. The performance, smart capabilities, and sleek design make it worth every penny. If you're in the market for a washer that takes the chore out of laundry and adds a touch of convenience, I can't recommend this one enough. It's like upgrading my laundry game to a whole new level!

Turbowash 360 for a better clean!

Upgraded from a Samsung front loader that was about 10 years old, no issue with the Samsung, just getting old and decided to upgrade during Black Friday Pricing.
LOVE the Turbowash 360. Cloths soak, wash faster and cleaner with this feature. My whites actually came out cleaner and brighter using this LG vs my old Samsung. Wash times do average about 15mins faster with the LG washer vs the Samsung.
Love the 5.0 cubic feet. My old Samsung was 4.3 cubic ft and the extra .7 cubic feet does make a large difference in the amount of cloths you can wash.
Although with the extra space, I still would be very hesitant to wash a large fluffy king size comforter in this unit. I did and it did not want to run the spin cycle. It took me almost an entire afternoon removing the wet comforter and attempting to re-balance the load in order for it to spin. It finally did, thank God.
Also, small sock and articles of clothing will get caught in the seal of the washer door. Never had an issue with that in my Samsung.
Overall, excellent washer!

I knew I wanted a large and quiet washer as my current set were neither of these things. I wanted something I could wash my king comforter in. Not only does it fit easily I had no idea that having a large capacity washer was going to cut the number of loads I could wash nearly in half. Along with the turbo wash cycle - laundry has become soo much more efficient. Also I have a home office in the laundry area - if it wasn’t for the sound of the clothes flopping around, I’d hardly know it was running. It also cleans my clothes very well too! I haven’t set up the ThinQ yet so I can’t speak to that. But soo far it’s been great. Had it about a month.

This is the nicest washing machine I have ever owned. I love the large capacity, and the run times are pretty fast. The clothes come out clean. It is so easy to use, and I absolutely love the automatic detergent dispenser. Fill it and forget about it. The machine is smooth and quiet too. Overall, I highly recommend.

We were prepared to buy the 4000 series washer and dryer, but spent the additional money for this 4200 series set. So far we are very happy with the decision. We bought on April 11 and delivery was May 6. This was a planned replacement purchase and we were satisfied with this time frame. Arjhone and Richard delivered and installed the items quickly and well. They communicated, listened and answered questions, and were very careful. They should be commended. It reinforces our using Best Buy for purchase, delivery, and installation services. The devices themselves operate as expected, are quiet, and do their jobs well. Many operating options, but easy to find and do what we needed. We haven’t tried any of the “smart” features as yet. They aren’t necessary and we can always try them at our leisure. We do like the extra .5 cubic foot capacity. It makes a bigger difference than we expected. The set is still new but so far it looks like the items are a quality choice.

I purchased this LG 5.0 360 turbo wash as a replacement for my Samsung front load washer. I did a ton of research! This LG checked all the boxes I was looking for in a washer. It has a large capacity yet it supports smaller loads and adjusts accordingly. The 360 turbo wash feature works great and uses way less water than my other washers. The cycle times are also shorter which is nice! It is energy star compliant and is an energy saver. It is extremely quiet. One of my favorite features which has been typically absent from most front load washers is the spin only cycle! Love that! It also allows you to stop the cycle and add items so I don't have to waste a load of water. So far it has been terrific! One thing that I would have liked better is that it is difficult to see the control panel at night as it only lights up what is selected. That is to say, it is not backlighted so choosing what you want is a bit difficult in low light to see your choices. Not a deal breaker but it would have been even better had they made the panel easier to see. The main cycle dial is a turnable knob which is a no-brainer. It gets you to the basic preset cycles, normal, permanent press etc. The control panel really fine-tunes the cycle....like temp adjustments, soil levels, spin levels etc.

I have only had this washer for a few weeks but so far have been so impressed with how well this cleans my clothes. I previously had an HE LG top loader with no agitator that I HATED because it was always off balance. I bought this for the capacity and the CR rating. My clothes are so much cleaner, so much less damp and thus dry quicker, and the best news, I don't have to worry about balancing the load 3 times each round like I used to. Also, the run time is really quite fast.

I've been looking for a new Good Washer my other New Maytag top load Washer well to put it nicely broke. So this time I did my research and LG was highly rated.
Easy to set up then went to straight washing stuff. With the large drum WoW does she wash a lot and do a great job too.. This Washer with the front load spin's out clothes so good they are almost dry when done.
I really like the WiFi connect the LG thinQ app makes it even better let's me know when it's done No more walking back and forth checking to see if it's done!! Check ✔️
Has ever more kinds of wash Cycles ✔️
Can start a load at home or away ✔️ Pre loaded forsure.
Best Washer I've ever had gets my clothes and sheets Cleaner than ever ✔️
Even on the fastest spin cycle it doesn't shake the hole house like most of the other washers I've had ✔️
I've owned a older front load washer before they have improved them tremendously One thing I really like about the LG washer is in the instruction It tells you to after you're finished washing for the day to wipe the inside of the door dry and to wipe out the rubber ring which is usually very little water and I've read another reviews saying that it held water in the tub after washing clothes but I have not seen this in mine My clothes come out very dry after each spin. But the advice on drying the door and wiping the ring leaving the door open is great advice I've had it now for two weeks and no smell whatsoever like my older Maytag front load washer used to do even when I left the door open and tried to make it smell better.
Only time will tell how long this will last.... I will share it in my review if I have any problems with it.
I highly recommend this Washer to everyone!!

Washer is a great size for our household and the controls are easy to use. It is quieter than our old machine and the app functionality is great if you want to use it but is not required. I love getting notifications that my laundry is done on my phone so i can quickly change out the loads. Overall great reliable product.

Had to replace our aging and broken (front seal got caught while washing) Electrolux front washer with this LG. This is our first LG front loading washer.
User interface is nice and easy to use. Washes clothes we'll enough although estimated time is just an estimate. Our old Electrolux showed the exact time it would be running for. Our most used mode is the normal wash which handles most clothing items well.
The LG doesn't like very uneven loads whereas the Electrolux handled uneven loads like a champ. But the LG does tell you if there is any uneven loads. The LG does have the LG ThinQ app which is nice to have as it tells you the washer's usage and the next time a recommended tub clean is due, but we mostly use it as a notifier for when the wash is done. But the washer has times were it doesn't connect to the app and we don't sometimes don't know when the laundry is done. Not sure if that's a software or hardware issue regarding WiFi. This model only uses 2.4GHz bands. Using the self diagnosis didn't show any issues.
Another omission is that this LG model doesn't have an interior light when the door is opened. Our old Electrolux has a LED light so we can see at the back of the drum for any small items.
Overall, this washer is doing its main job well.

We bought this to replace our old LG washer that we had for 12 yrs and had no issues with, it was just getting old. This washer is vastly improved than that one so expectations are high. And so far it has passed the test. It's quiet, easy to use and cleans my grubby jobsite clothes very well.

I bought this two weeks ago and have been testing every cycle. I previously owned a Samsung Front loader for 11 years. I repaired it 5 times in that time span. When I saw it developing another issue, I knew it was time to get rid of it. So far, this new washer has performed way beyond expectations. The cycles are shorter and the clothes are much cleaner. The smart features are absolutely amazing! You can actually download additional cycle options expanding the capabilities. It's so much quieter than my old Samsung and it doesn't get out of balance. I totally recommend this washer.

I've never owned a front load washer, so I can't compare this to anything in the same class. I'm still becoming familiar with options and, in the beginning, if you have always used a basic, top load washer, it can be a little overwhelming but the machine will not let you make choices that aren't compatible. The washer does dispense softeners, detergent and/or bleach but you have to refill the compartments with each load, so it doesn't dispense a specific quantity, it just dispenses what you put in there for each load. The dispensing drawer easily comes out for cleaning.
The turbo does cut back on the washing time but, in most cases, not significantly. The instructions aren't real comprehensive, with regard to actual function, but there is an included link for additional information. There is no "load size" setting, so you aren't trying to figure out whether you have a small, medium or large load but there is a soil option that increases the water level while washing. There is definitely less water in the barrel at any given time than with a top load but the water is used more effectively so my laundry is definitely coming out smelling great and my prior washer was broken so I had some smelly stuff sitting around waiting for the new washer.
The other thing that has blown me away is how quiet these are. The first day, I kept checking because I thought it had broken down. It has a little musical "finished" alarm and, when the spin cycle really gets going, the first few seconds sound like a little UFO firing up but, as washers go, this is very well balanced and very quiet.
There is one major downside that I've noticed right away. None of my top loaders have EVER smelled bad. The doors on these are water tight, so there is no ventilation. The instructions tell you to wipe the door and the rim and then leave the door open to allow the inside to dry. I leave the door open while I dry the clothing and wipe it down but, even so, it stinks. This model has a compartment door on the front. In that compartment is a little hose and a filter. The trick to keeping the smell at bay is, when you are done, pull the little tube out and drain away the water left in the bottom of the tank. It isn't a lot of water. Then I unscrew the filter and rinse it out. I've noticed that there is no unpleasant smell as long as I let the inside dry and make sure I drain away the excess water and clean the filter.
You do have to use cleaning tabs to clean and maintain your pump and lines in this machine. I ordered cleaning tabs but, because it has a tendency to get a little stinky, I ran an empty load with some vinegar in it just to clear it out after three days of heavy use and it smells like stainless steal inside right now...no funky orders. I'll still use the tabs monthly but there is some maintenance with this machine if you want to keep the funk at bay.
Other than oder management, this machine is absolutely wonderful and it handles comforters and bedspreads without sounding or acting stressed. It is wonderful to throw gentle cycle things in and not have to put them in a bag so they don't tangle up on an agitator. I've had zero tangling, twisting or fabric stretching or damage. Everything is really easy to clean and its a very attractive machine. I'm completely satisfied and I don't think I'll ever go back to top load.

I was in need of a new washer. I had a Maytag for 10 years and it started breaking down. Read the reviews on this LG washer, watched videos on it, and was pretty much sold. It is very quiet and I love the fact that it senses how much clothing you add. The less, the faster the cycle. Wi-fi is cool because it let's you know when the cycle is done. Since I have an Apple watch, I can see it right away. Clothes come out smelling fresh and clean.

Excellent large capacity washer. Clothes come out very clean and leave minimal lint in companion dryer. Has many cycles, but spin, temp, soil and time can all be tweaked separately on almost all preset cycles. It also senses the volume of clothes (on most cycles) and seems to do so accurately, based on the first 15 loads. I am very happy with this machine compared to my old LG Tromm it replaced after many years of heavy duty service.

My wife started rating about this washer right after the first time she used it. It is hands down better than the previous high-efficiency washer we had.
The only issue is that I wish I could have ordered a model with a door that opened the other way. Our laundry setup demands that the washer bo tot he right of the dryer, but since the door hinge is on the left it is a bit difficult to move the cloths from the washer to the dryer.
It would clearly be difficult to engineer this with a consumer reversible door, but another model with this being the only difference would be a useful time-of-purchase option.
