They are super modern and sleek and beautiful to look at but they also function so well! Love the lights in the drums and the reservoir for detergent and softener so I don’t have to add them for every wash. I’ve only had them for about a month so can’t speak to longevity but I actually look forward to doing laundry now.

You could say I am a lazy laundry lady but with the smart app I have never been more excited to get off my couch and switch my laundry over!

Melvin (if I’m not mistaken) walked us through various washing machine options, advised on all pros and cons. And we got a great deal on the set we bought.

I bought $3500 worth of LG Washers (Yes I bought the little washer that sits under the big washer. Huge Mistake!!) and dryer in February 2023. In November I realized it had been leaking for some time ruining my laminate floor and requiring mold remediation and carpenter work for the ruined baseboards. $6650 worth. You can see in the photos that the rubber hose rubbed holes in itself due to poor design or poor installation. It has been over a year and LG just informed me that they will only reimburse me $5173 due to depreciation since the remodel is 10 years old. So because the LG Washer failed in the first year due to a manufacturing defect I’m stuck with $1500 expense just because my house wasn’t brand new?!? That’s ridiculous. Do NOT buy an LG product unless you are prepared to be shafted by LG when it fails. I should have stuck with Samsung or any other brand with better customer service. I do not recommend LG products to anyone.

The guide for soap dispensing is also installed warped and not flush against the entry further causing the drawer stuck issue. Cheap injection molding and bad QC. Cleaning action is rough for the delicate cycle. Cannot clean queen size comforter thoroughly. I do like the thinkQ app control. Too bad the hardware is subpar. Will never trust LG brand again.
