The initial test run was a pain in the butt. It was like the buttons weren't working. Which was the other stupid part, there are no actual buttons. Its basically all touch screen and I miss my old washer with the classic buttons and knobs (I may only be 30 but I agree with the old people on that). I also dispise the song it plays when the wash is done. Who thought it was a good idea to make it like a carnival song? The only thing I really like about it is the size. It fits a large load of laundry. At the end of the day it works and that's most important to me.

It has an inherent fault: when starting, it rotates back and forth a few times to weigh the load and to see if it is balanced, but then it does moderate to fast, short spin, that forces the dry, dirty clothes upward to the sides of the drum. When the water starts filling, and agitation starts, there is not enough water in the washer, and you have an upper layer of clothes that did not descend back into the small amount of water in the wash when agitation began. I stood there watching the entire wash cycle, and that layer of clothes never got fully wet, therefore not fully washed. And... The User Guide and book are both generic and are written for all models of LG HE style, non-agitator washers. They describe actions, like "Options" you can select to remedy issues like increasing the water in the washer. Those features are NOT part of this supposed 5-Star washer. There is a DEEP WASH feature that literally fills the entire deep/wide washer drum with water which is overkill. And... There is no Quick Wash like on my previous Samsung washer, and if you select "Heavy Duty" for things like bath towels, that cycle is TWO (2) hours long...you can't change it. I will be going to Best Buy in the morning to arrange returning it so I can buy a better, more featured and functional washer that actually gets your clothes wet enough to be washed thoroughly. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

If you haven’t already, the "Deep Wash" cycle can sometimes be helpful for larger or bulky loads, though we understand it may feel excessive. Regarding the "Heavy Duty" cycle, and the absence of a "Quick Wash." The settings can be adjusted for various load types, but we agree this isn't ideal for your needs.

I can wash a queen size comforter in it with no problem. I like that it selects the size of the load and adjusts the wash time. With less water usage, it cuts down the dry time too. I replaced a 1960s washer and wish I had done it sooner!
