Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 5.0 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer's cleaning performance, quiet operation, large capacity, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to handle large loads and its low noise level. However, some customers are negative about the lack of a center agitator and the washer's depth, finding it difficult to reach items at the bottom. A few also noted that clothes may come out more wrinkled than with previous washers.

It has been the most awful exp. The first washer threw an error code 1E. It flooded my house. Best buy replaced the unit but their insurance team sedgwick is doing nothing to help me with floors, sheet rock that were damaged. ALL BUYERS should be aware if Bestbuy sales you a defective unit causing thousands of dollars of damage...they will not help you. They all try to blame the installers even though its an obvious defect.

Hi, James. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience on the LG Washer (WT7150CW) model. We understand your concern about dealing with water damage in your home. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products and exceptional services to ensure a smooth experience. The IE error code on your washer typically indicates a water inlet issue, which can be caused by improper water pressure or a malfunction in the inlet valve. While Best Buy handles replacements and insurance claims, we want to ensure that your new unit is working properly. If you experience any issues, we recommend checking that the water supply valves are fully open and the inlet hoses are properly connected. This machine only cleans when you do the 2 hours heavy duty cycle. Comforters set off the UE uneven and it is a pain. Also started to get rust and this machine isn't even 2 years old. Customer Warrenty said it's a cosmetic issue and not covered. Not a great washer in my opinion.

Hi, there. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand your concern about the LG Washer (WT7150CW) model, and we’re here to help you resolve the concerns you’ve mentioned. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. For the issue with cleaning, we recommend trying a few things to help improve performance during shorter cycles. First, ensure that the load is balanced properly, as uneven loads can trigger the UE error, especially with bulky items like comforters. You might also want to try adjusting the water level settings if available, as heavier loads may require additional water to achieve the best cleaning results. For more information, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-clothing-not-clean-properly--1337626293790. Regarding the rust issue, that’s definitely not something we want to happen, and we would be happy to assist you further. Rust can sometimes occur from environmental factors, but we want to ensure that this isn't a manufacturing issue. Please reach out to us through a private message on social media @LGUSSupport so we can take a closer look at your case. We want to make sure you're getting the best possible experience with your washer.

We’re here to help, and we appreciate your patience as we work towards a solution. ^Juvy LG

So big! No agitator in the middle and handsome stainless steel tub holds oodles more clothes than my old washer. Quiet when running. Lots of options for settings for type of load. Realizing how much cleaner clothes are now than with old washer… should have replaced it sooner.

I have always leaned toward the more well-known brands of washers but this time, I decided to go with LG. I was worried about the door since it is not metal like most others, but that is not a concern. This washer is quiet, easy to use, and since it has no agitator, I am not finding holes in my shirts anymore. I am loving it so far!

After purchase, I came home to read more reviews, then second-guessed my choice. Even so, I went ahead with the scheduled delivery to give the machine a try in order to gather my own impressions. I've been surprised at the superior performance of this machine. For me, I couldn't be happier. I get a better clean than I did with my LG front load machine, and the capacity for king sized fluffy comforters is a game changer. The comforter that was not possible to stuff into the front loader fits in this top loading machine with plenty of room to spare. The frustrations that some are having with this machine come down to a learning curve. The washer does not work like any previous washer I've owned. You have to acclimate to the different cycles to learn which will work best for you. There is no easy way to adjust water level. The washer works best if you allow it to fill to the level it is designed to deliver for each given cycle. All of the deep fill cycles use enormous amounts of water. Those cycles are very effective at lifting out dirt and rinsing linens clean, but are overkill for most applications and best used sparingly, unless you consistently wash huge loads. The spin cycle gets most items so dry that a dryer is barely needed. I'm surprised at how much better I like the ease of dropping clothes into the top load vs stuffing them into the front load. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the cleaning ability and capacity of this washer.

This washing machine is great. I had no idea what I was missing out on with my old washer with the agitator. Capacity is excellent - I no longer have to split loads. Easy to use, easy to customize settings, manual is very clear on how to use. It does make a very high pitched noise when running - the impeller - but I know someone who has the same make and only slightly different model that does the same and we were both assured this is normal. Most people can't actually hear it, and it's easy to ignore once you know it's not a problem.

Washing machines can be frustrating. I bought this one to replace another brand washer that rusted out entirely! It was so bad that it began staining my clothes with rust. This LG has worked great so far. It looks great and does a good job at cleaning our clothes. It’s also big enough to handle my daily loads with five people in the house. My husband loves how efficient the washer is at wringing items out. That may be why some people find problems with wrinkles but since I use the dryer for everything, the wrinkles come out. I don’t have any issues having to spend extra time with ironing. Agree that the wash cycles are long. This my only complaint so far. I will use the quick wash setting to avoid. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent machine and great value. We bought it to replace a 20 year old GE model that still ran fine but wasn't as efficient or quiet as the new LG. Our new machine can also accommodate bedding and comforters, something our previous machine couldn’t do very well. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the test cycle doesn’t function as outlined in the instruction manual. I had to Google it to discover the workaround that many others have had to use. Other than that, it’s a quiet, efficient, good looking machine. My brother owns a similar model and recently had to do some repairs on his. He found it to be well designed and easy to work on. My one suggestion is for LG to include an adapter so the drain hose can be connected to the side of a Dura Tub or similar laundry tub. I don’t have an in-wall drain and don’t want the hose hanging over the top of my laundry tub, so I had to fabricate an adapter to connect the drain hose to the inlet port of the Dura Tub.

Purchased approximately one month ago and this has been a great washer so far. The tub is huge - so much so that reaching the items at the bottom can be a stretch. Everything gets clean and the spin cycle leaves clothes barely damp. It is also quiet.

This is my first (and hopefully only) HE washing machine. I researched washing machines on Consumer Reports and this brand is always top of the charts. This particular model is also top of the charts. What to know: - Be advised this machine is smarter than you are when it comes to laundry. Let go of your preconceived notions about how it should work. Don’t fight it and don’t think you know better, just accept it and move on. How do I know this, you ask? The first time I used it, I stood there and watched it go through the beginning paces and felt confused and annoyed. It wasn’t doing what I thought it should do. It made funny sounds. It spun clockwise, counter-clockwise, and clockwise again, without adding water. Why wasn’t it filling? It must be broken. NOPE- the washer is spinning to assess the weight of the items. This spinning routine also positions the items appropriately to begin the cycle, in case you didn’t read the instructions about how to load the machine. There’s not enough water in the tub and my laundry isn’t going to get clean. NOPE - the washer fills with enough water to clean the items, in spite of your thoughts to the contrary. I pinky-swear on this. Wait - why does the display indicate this is going to take 65 minutes? My other machine took 30 minutes. NOPE - the washer will adjust the time cycle repeatedly as it goes through the initial paces. I discovered this on the 2nd or 3rd wash because I stood there and watched. I don’t see suds. Shoot - is the soap dispenser broken? NOPE - for the love of God, don’t do what you’ve always done, adding ¼ or ½ or even a full cup of detergent. If you see suds, you’ve added too much detergent. HE detergents are low-sudsing by design, and I’ve found that ONE and ONE HALF TABLESPOONS is more than enough for a large load. For an average size load, I use one tablespoon of detergent. I also use THREE TABLESPOONS of white vinegar in place of fabric softener. That amount fills the dispenser. If you add more than that amount, the dispenser will drip the excess into the tub immediately. What to do: READ THE MANUAL. DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE BEST BUY SITE, OR USE THIS LINK: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-WT7150CW.ABWETUS PRINT PAGES 17-29 and KEEP THEM CLOSE BY. These pages tell you everything you need to know to get started. If you still don’t trust the machine, run a few loads of laundry and randomly watch it work for a minute or two during those loads. Prepare to be amazed.

I have had this washer for a month so far and am very happy with features and performance. I have read several reviews that mention it doesn’t t use enough water. I find that it detects exactly how much to use and does a great job filling to what is necessary - hence the high efficiency. Love the size of the washer which allows king size bedding and dog bed! Washer is quiet and does a good job cleaning. Definitely recommend!

So far we are really happy with the LG washer and dryer. We replaced a Samsung set that was nothing but problems from day 1, and only lasted about 8 years. Before that we had an old Sear Kenmore that lasted 22 years, Will never again own a Samsung product. The LG washer is simple to use, does a great job cleaning clothes and is plenty large enough for normal clothes or bedding.
