So far we are really happy with the LG washer and dryer. We replaced a Samsung set that was nothing but problems from day 1, and only lasted about 8 years. Before that we had an old Sear Kenmore that lasted 22 years, Will never again own a Samsung product. The LG washer is simple to use, does a great job cleaning clothes and is plenty large enough for normal clothes or bedding.

We have had this LG Direct Drive Washer for about 3 months. Here are all the problems we have encountered SO FAR. 1) Does not clean clothes. I have to go through all my elementary age kid clothes and scrub the grease, grass stains or heavy mud spots out with a toothbrush and Dawn soap to get clean clothes after washing. 2) Extremely long wash cycle. A load on “normal” setting takes 56 minutes. Even a “fast load” takes over 30 minutes. 3) Does not remove lint or pet hair. Line drying is not an option if you have pets. You MUST dry in the dryer to remove hair. 4) Plan on ironing. Clothes come out so wrinkled that it doesn’t come out in the dryer even. 5) Plan on buying a clothes steamer. Spouse’s quick dry pants and shirts are so wrinkled I have to steam them out. I had never so much as seen wrinkles in these clothes before. It was: wash, drip dry, done. Now it’s wash, dry in the dryer, steam wrinkles out. 6) SCRUD. A greasy, oily sticky substance that gets smeared all over clothes or bedding if you use the bedding or delicate cycle, or wash a normal load AFTER running a bedding or delicate cycle. Check out the pictures. For real. 7) Plan on washing and vacuuming your washer once a week. Only way I have found to deal with the scrud and prevent mustiness safely is to run a tub clean cycle with CLR, an empty rinse cycle, a tub clean cycle with bleach, another rinse cycle, and leave the top open to air dry overnight. After that process, there will be dried scrud all over the drum. Easiest to vaccuum as much as you can out, then wipe the whole drum out with a damp dishrag. Keep in mind every cycle takes about an hour, so that’s 4 hours of drum cleaning, an overnight dry, then vaccuum and rinse the drum every week. 8) LG Warranty and Customer Service, hands down awful. They will blame you for the problems and tell you to fix it yourself. Wow. I’ve been doing laundry for 30 odd years and have always been decent at it, and enjoyed it! But turns out I’m doing it all wrong, I need to spend a day a week washing my washing machine, and I’m perpetually angry at all the extra work I’m doing to get mediocre results.

Extremely satisfied with my new LG 5.0 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washing Machine! It is a very large capacity machine, easy to load, and easy to operate. Water plus feature is very helpful! Runs very quietly!

I bought this machine to replace my old one which no longer worked. This machine is wonderful so far. Clothes get very clean, spin is great, and it's much quieter than my old machine. I highly recommend it.

Love the capacity of the washer. Capacity is huge and can reach the bottom. Very easy to use. Recommend to family member and neighbor. Fits in a small space.

Our 3 year old washer went out. After a recommendation from our repair man we replaced it with this washer. Great machine. Washes great. Easy to use and has a great washer capacity. We love it. Its a 5 star machine.

I recently purchased the LG WT7150CW washer during a Memorial Day sale, which allowed me to save $100 off the regular price. While this was a nice discount, I did have to pay extra for delivery and installation, which was somewhat pricey. The delivery experience itself was good - the team arrived on schedule and was polite. I had left a note requesting them to wear masks, which they didn't, but it was okay since their time inside was minimal. The installation was quick and efficient, with the team in and out in about 20 minutes. One thing to note about this washer is its depth - you have to reach down quite far to retrieve clothes from the bottom, which might be inconvenient for some users. As for performance, it's pretty straightforward - it works, it washes clothes, and it met my immediate need for a functioning washer. While it may not have any standout features, it does the job it's supposed to do. In essence, I bought it because I needed a washer, and that's exactly what I got.

Very quiet machine, everything comes out sparkling clean! So many different varieties of wash that I will eventually use and get to try them all. Many options for various fabrics and clothing, bedding options such as comforters etc as well. Just a great all around washer! Has a direct drive motor as well which is awesome!

Cleans well, runs quietly, seems sturdy. Compact appearance, but has a large drum.

LG washing machine WT7150 CW, works well, lots of room to wash really large loads and/or comforters, runs fairly quitely, simple easy to use controls, automatic water levels, looks great too

The product itself is great. My wife loves it, and it was an upgrade from the one with the agitator that broke down on us. It took us a bit to figure it out how to start it, because it doesn't come with a manual, but it a QR code that will take you to it. We bought it online and buying the hoses was difficult because BestBuy site won't tell you which one to buy. I called and the representative told me to also buy a power cord, which was unnecessary and had to return it later on.

This is an excellent product. It’s very easy to use and is extremely efficient. (It “weighs” the clothing to minimize wasting water). My only issue is with the alarm at the end of the cycle to notify when the cycle is finished. I am used to my previous washers having loud buzzers. This washers plays a quiet tune when the cycle is over. Much like its dryer counterpart, I now set my phone alarm to remind myself to remove the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Other than that, this is a great washer.

Works as advertised. Quiet, clothes are clean and spun very dry.

I could stand and view the inside of this washer all afternoon ! How wild is that ? We needed a washer that would fit into the existing space. We had a front load washer but a front load now is much wider and deeper than the one of yesteryear. So the best Buy salesman recommended this washer to accommodate our space. We decided to skip the agitator so we could wash blankets if needed. The washer assesses the situation, spins, and then washes and dries accordingly. What is a bit more work for me is you have to load the washer gingerly and keep space in the center as the washer spins and gathers the clothing to the side. I truly mean it when I say it is wild to wash the machine spin and go through cycles !

This is our first time with no agitator. Machine is quite. So much more room. My kids and I watch the wash cycle through the clear lid when we first got it., lol.

After one month, I am happy with how this washer is performing. It is quite quiet, especially compared to the 20-year old GE Profile that it replaced. Controls are easy to use. The wash, rinse and spin cycles are very efficient. Installation team was great.

This washer is very nice. Fairly quiet and cleans excellent. LG makes good appliances. Our Samsung only lasted 4 rears. Never again. This washer and dryer combo is just right. Works flawlessly and does everything we need. Highly recommend.

Really happy with this purchase. I ordered it for my Grandmother who had hers breakdown and start leaking since it was repaired by a technician. This new washer fit in her space very well, dimensions advertised are spot on. And in comparison to her 9 year old set that she had from LG this one fit in perfectly from a match of style. The functionality is super intuitive and easy to understand. My Grandmother has had no issues using it and quickly getting used to the new options compared to her 2014 version. Sound is not too loud, even when running an extra large cycle. Overall, a great unit, with all the features you would typically use and desire.

This washing machine is great. I had no idea what I was missing out on with my old washer with the agitator. Capacity is excellent - I no longer have to split loads. Easy to use, easy to customize settings, manual is very clear on how to use. It does make a very high pitched noise when running - the impeller - but I know someone who has the same make and only slightly different model that does the same and we were both assured this is normal. Most people can't actually hear it, and it's easy to ignore once you know it's not a problem.
