Even music tracks from YouTube play with minimal bass. The base does come alive if you crank up the volume to a level that will require ear plugs. Clear voice works well. Had trouble with my AT&T router connecting with wi-fi, so using the LG ThinQ app is not possible. For the money, however, still an ok buy. But, to say again, If you like a more noticeable bass response at family room volume levels, this soundbar may not be for you.

The tv looks amazing and the sound quality of the s80tr is great but the bass is really disapointing and underwhelming. Ive tried adjusting the settings and increasing the bass to max but it almost seems like it isn't even on. I made sure the green light is solid and when i do the AI calibrating the sub sounds great but that's the only time. I have it set it bass blaster setting but it still is so underwhelming. Ive tried watching movies on hbo max, disney+ and bluray disc but its still really disappointing with the bass. For $700 its really disapointing

Disappointing

The soundbar and surround sound speakers were just super loud and the bass speaker did not provide any basic, much less deep bass tones. I downloaded the recommended LG app so i could adjust the sound manually and still only had very loud volumes. The system may work better in a small bedroom, but was very disappointing in the living room. Needless to say I returned the system.

Great Soundbar

Very very happy with the decision we made to go with an Atmos higher end model to go with our LG G4 OLED TV.

My only complaint is dialogue is a little difficult to hear even with the center of firing channel. I hope LG works on that. Otherwise it’s a really full sound for a great price. Very happy with it overall. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
