Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the large capacity, excellent cleaning performance, and quiet operation of the 5.2 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with TurboWash Technology. Many also appreciate its ease of use and the larger size for handling bigger loads. A small number of users miss the agitator found in older models, while some find that clothes may wrinkle more than with other machines. Overall, positive feedback on cleaning and noise levels outweighs concerns about the agitator and wrinkle resistance.

After making a mistake and buying a different machine that broke during the third use, we returned it and bought this one. The main reason is pretty simple: we're very happy with our LG refrigerator. We've used it a few times, and so far so good. It's very quiet and does a good job cleaning clothes. The only caveat is that it's so deep that small, less limber people may have a hard time reaching clothes at the bottom! We needed a machine, this was the LG one in stock, so we chose it even though we don't need this much capacity.

I purchased this washer one year ago. We have used it quite thoroughly. We are extremely pleased with its performance to date. It is far more efficient than the model it replaced which was a workhorse. You get a longer cycle time but it saves clothing from being damaged by agitation. Less damage also means much less lint in the external screen trap. It was very well priced compared to comparable machines.

So far performance is great. Nice upgrade from my 20 year old Maytag. I love the glass lid. Features are pretty nice too, although at time of ordering, the model with the steam was not available, or I would've gotten that one. The four star was due to the inside being too deep. I'm a very petite person so now I need a stool to reach the bottom. However, with that said, the Samsung washers are even deeper than the LG's. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

    A Great Washing Machine

My wife and I bought this washer to replace our aging set. This washer has many new bells and whistles compared to the old technology we had. This washer is quiet energy efficient, water conserving, and can be over loaded with much more and still get everything clean. A best buy.

I recently purchased this washer as a replacement for a new Maytag I did not like because it didn't actually wash the clothes. Best decision to change to this LG model. It does a great job of cleaning mine and my kids clothes, gym, clothes, hunting clothes, towels, bedding, EVERYTHING!. The wash cycle is very quiet (way more quiet than the Maytag), does an excellent job of sensing the right water levels and the agitation is great because it moves the clothes around vigorously so you know the clothes are actually getting "washed" not just pushed around in a circle because the tub is moving. The detergent/fabric softener tray is a bit small but it allows you to switch between HE powder or liquid detergents. There is also a fabric softener setting this will allow your wash cycle to be shortened if you do not add softener. Multiple wash cycles so I have options for delicates, bedding, allergy, whites as well as a steam cycle. Very happy with this washing machine.

I was skeptical about getting our clothes clean with so little water and no agitator. So far they have come out very clean. I have not had an opportunity to try heavily soiled pants or shirts yet so I am not able to comment on that issue. I am pleased with the results of what I have washed. It takes a little getting used to because of all the options available but we wash a couple of times a week and after the first few uses it becomes easier to operate.

We've had this washer for approximately 3 weeks and we have overall been happy with it. It has many wash modes and features. It replaced a 20 yr + Whirlpool washer with an agitator. It does appear to be a bit harder on clothing, however, I'm not sure if this as a result of newer technology and better cleaning. Definitely will save water. Like the extra rinse & extra water selection options. Large tub has cut down on the number of loads per week.

We wanted a top loader for a couple of reasons and this one was a top recommendation on Wirecutter. The price was the most competitive and the Best Buy major appliance staff at Tysons Corner were terrific. And the delivery/installation crew were courteous, careful, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. The washer is doing a great job. It replaced an agitator-type machine and we have already noticed how this cleans with much less wear-and-tear on our clothing.

Was skeptical about purchasing a HE washer, but this washer is great. Love the fact that I can add more water to the load if I want and I can still add a forgotten garment once the load has started. Pretty easy to operate, even with the many different options on the panel.

Love the washer. It's so nice to be able to just dump the laundry basket in and let the auto-balance kick in (no agitator). The settings are just right (not too many or few) with customizable options available. If I had any complaint at all, it's that the matching dryer can't easily accommodate the larger capacity of the washer, but that's not the washer's fault.

Previously we had a Whirlpool Duet front loader that spun like crazy, leaked water and ate my clothes. So I went with LG and decided to try a top loader this time. I'm pleasantly surprised. There's definitely a learning curve but once you figure out what works it's great and it fits a ton. The only little thing which you can work around is sometimes it doesn't add enough water if you have a mixed load. So I always select the more water option and haven't had an issue. I'm happy this machine and I hope LG stands up to it's reputation and lasts for years to come.

Purchased the washer and dryer on sale several months ago. After reading countless reviews, decided to give the LG a shot. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. More than enough cycles to accommodate our needs. Clothes come out cleaner in less time when compared to our previous machine. Neither of us have run into any issues and we both would give this purchase two thumbs up.

This washing machine replaced a Maytag unit that I purchased my house with. I will admit, this is my first brand new washing machine, but this thing is awesome! It looks elegant and stylish, the tub is huge, and it has all the features I was looking for at a great price point. I have had no issues with the unit since I purchased it over a month ago. I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone in the market for a new one.
