LG Top load washer and dryer

Ive had a nighare experience with my brand new LG washer and dryer. Consistent issues with the pair, the unit is not all stainless steel as advertised. I purchased the unit hoping that it would be a long term set. The bottom piece is aluminum, not durable. I am an RN; I wash my scrubs, bedding, and everyday clothing in the machine. The washer had holes in the aluminum.. in the bottom of the tub post washing towels… LG took 2 weeks to replace that. 1 month later now the bottom is dented where the cap is directly in the middle causing clothes and bedding to become lodged during the cycle, tearing and ripping my belongings. My dryer interface already has to be replaced because it turns on and off during cycles… it also turns on and off randomly throughout the night. BEST BUY has not assisted in this issue at all, LG has yet to assit. Please consider other units. This is a terrible set that will cost you thousands of dollars. Best buy and LG do not take care of their customers. Save yourself the headache, and keep the money in your pocket!!!

I have this machine at home and love it. However, mine is a few years older model w/o the steam. I love mine so since I do his laundry and his old washer died, I bought this one similar to mine. He is 96 years young and works everyday. His is still sharp as a tack. He has an engineering background and is impressed how it works. He said, "What a marvel. I wish I’d of thought of this." Happy customers.

The nice thing is the increased capacity with this unit. The only thing I would caution is that it is a long ways to the bottom up the tub for a short person. I'm 6'2 so not a problem. My wife is 5'4 and has to spin the drum some times to get things from the back bottom.

Easy to set up and steam wash seems to really get clothes sanitized. The washing drum is huge, only problem is if you’re on the shorter side you might require a step to get to the bottom of the drum to remove the laundry.

Delivery was fast and the install and removal of our old washer was seamless. So far so good. The washer is a bit deep so those vertically challenged may need a stool. A bit loud when washing a small load. Did an excellent job with brightening whites. Definitely an upgrade from our Samsung front loader. No smell!

I find the electronic start button a bit finicky. Also a bit louder than my old washer, but the clothes are clean and impressively dry after the load finishes, which reduces drying time
