Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent cleaning performance and large capacity of the 5.5 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Smart Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D, along with its quiet operation and ease of app-based use. However, some users mention challenges related to the lack of an agitator, and occasional issues with the spin cycle, as well as the washer's depth. A few customers also reported experiencing problems with the washer's balance and reliability.

    A Very Good Machine

Love the no agitator machine - clothes seem very clean - which some people say isn't the case with washing machines with no agitator. I have not found this to be true, though my clothes are never that dirty. It is a bit bigger than I would have wanted (5.5), but I can now wash at least two king size sheets together and they don't get twisted and tangled up as in my old agitator machine. But you cannot just throw a couple of things in to wash. It takes getting used to the control panel, but all in all a very good machine in today's world of washers.

Much quieter than our last washer. It is nice and large, which allows us to do fewer loads, and have the option to wash our king comforter when necessary. It is easy to load, and not too deep to prevent getting socks from the bottom of the tub.

I have had this washer and dryer set for a month now and am loving them! I was hesitant to purchase the impeller style washer because I am used to an agitator, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how well it washes my clothes, towels, and bedding. It has a huge capacity and is super quiet. Would definitely recommend!

I absolutely love my LG washer and dryer! They are super efficient, quiet, and handle large loads with ease. The washer gets clothes perfectly clean, and the dryer works quickly without over-drying. Plus, the sleek design looks great in my laundry room. Highly recommend!

I have had this washer for a couple of months. It has done great! Washes large bedding items. My dryer cant keep up now. It does have a sensor that makes it take less time on smaller loads as well which is great when i have a few smaller items.

There aren't enough words to express how much better this LG top loading washer is than my former front loading, expensive, Samsung washer! Wish it held a bit more water at times, but that's not just the LG brand these days. It washes loads much faster than my previous washer, and my clothes finally smell actually clean again! Easy to operate. Too soon to comment or it's longevity, but so far I highly recommend.

I love my new washer and dryer! For the longest time i debated between this set and Samsung. I chose these because of the better reviews and the 10 year warranty from LG. For my first time using the washer, it was alot of laundry. Normally my laundry is two loads but it all fit in one load easily. I do use the option for water plus or extra rinse cycle so that way more water is used to wash my clothes properly. I downloaded the app so it can tell me when the cycle is complete for busy days. Connecting it to my phone was very simple. Overall i love it!

I bought this washer because the frontloader I spent $1800 on at a different big box store and 2 weeks out of warranty the suspension arms completely broke off the drum of the expensive front loader, so I decided a top loader was the way to go. This washer is BIG, holds twice what the other one held, gets everything really clean, its quiet, and was half the price of the front loader. So far Im very happy with this purchase, oh and delivery and set up was great.

I recently purchased this, and these are my thoughts: Design and Aesthetics: The washer has a modern and sleek graphite steel finish, adding a touch of sophistication to my laundry room. Capacity and Performance: With a 5.5 cu. ft. capacity, this washer meets my family's laundry needs. It allows us to wash larger loads less frequently, saving both time and energy. The TurboWash3D technology promises a powerful and gentle clean, which it delivers. My clothes come out feeling fresh and thoroughly cleaned. Smart Features: With the LG ThinQ app, I can control and monitor the washer through my smartphone. The app notifications are helpful, and I can start or stop a load remotely, which is a feature I now can't imagine living without. If you are not tech-savvy you don't need the app to operate the washer. Efficiency: The high-efficiency rating of this washer was a significant factor in my decision to purchase it. I've noticed a decrease in water usage compared to my old washer, which is great for water conservation and saving on utility bills. Installation and Operation: Installation was straightforward, and the washer's operation has been relatively intuitive. The control panel is easy to navigate, and the cycle options cater well to different types of laundry loads. Value: While the initial price point may seem high, the combination of its large capacity, efficiency, and smart features make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to upgrade their laundry setup. Also, utilize the price and look around. You might find a better deal, and BB will match it. Final Thoughts: Overall, the LG Top Load Washer has exceeded my expectations. It's a reliable and efficient washing machine. The only minor drawback is that some cycles can be lengthy, but given the efficiency and effectiveness of the wash, it's a small concession. I highly recommend this washer to anyone in the market for a high-capacity, efficient, and smart laundry solution.

We like it a lot. Cleans the clothing well but we are not used to the low water levels. You can put it on deep wash to get more water but that increases the wash time. I do notice that there is water left in the detergent "cup" after the wash so I take it out and dump it afterwards. Not in love with the computerized settings that you can't change once the wash is underway, just not used to it, we went from an all manual machine to this. It's high capacity, you can wash a lot at once which is great. Sometimes the spin cycle is less than great, leaving some items wetter than I'd like. It happened with a load of towels a couple of times. But overall we are happy with it.

It works well, is quiet. The tub is deep, I have washed big items successfully. I need a step to reach the bottom of the basket. Some of the controls/features on the panel are printed so small I cannot read them. It's only been used a few times, but so far we are happy with it. When installed we were told the service person would help install the WiFi, but they didn't know how, so it's not connected.

I absolutely love the size of the tub. It’s so large that I can wash my comforter in it. It is also the most quiet washing machine I’ve ever owned. I’m overjoyed with my purchase! It washes so well and you can download specialty cycles from LG ThinQ.

Finally replaced 25 year old washer, and am glad to do so. No more central agitator-- capacious chamber for putting in clothes without obstruction. Quiet, fast, and easy-- I still haven't read the manual as it is self-evident how to run. Unexpected clear top that is terrific. Large capacity for a great price.

My new LG washer was only delivered January 19. I’m very happy so far, as it has many options I’ve never enjoyed before. One of the main features is a steam feature for sanitizing clothes. The control panel takes a little getting used to. It’s far more complicated than any previous machine I’ve owned.

I really like this washer -- much better than I like the paired dryer that we bought with it. Only problem is a lack of decent detailed instructions, in the manual or online. But overall, after figuring out by trial and error how to use the thing, we've generally liked its performance. Has a huge capacity and the cycles are very speedy compared to our old washer. However, Best Buy was really awful in terms of delivery of the item. They failed three times to order the correct size truck to navigate our property, despite repeated requests and assurances that our requests were processed. Customer service was non-existent. Still haven't received any response or any reimbursement of the delivery fees we paid. I don't recommend ordering appliances from Best Buy.
