Buyer Beware - electronic panel problematic

Purchased this washer in Sept 2020. Beginning in May 2021 it periodically wouldn't turn on, which is all the time now unless the washer is reset by unplugging it and holding start/pause button for several seconds. Per non-LG repairman, this issue is not uncommon and to remedy, electronic panel requires replacement (~$500) since the 1-year warranty is exceeded.
