The old basic TV I bought in January 2014 (also from Best Buy) was having picture and sound issues. Enter this TV: slightly bigger, built in apps, easy to setup and navigate. Probably the only thing I don't like is the fact that this TV has feet on either end, and the older model had a center stand. That's on me, though. Was hoping to use a different TV stand, as the location is not good for a wall mount. The wall mount did look fairly straightforward, as was screwing in the feet. It took about 15 minutes or so to setup, from the time we opened the box until the TV was able to be used. Hulu, Sling, Netflix, and Prime are all built in apps, very easy to setup. For over the air channels, I did need to buy a different antenna. That took a couple minutes to setup, mostly scanning for channels. When watching over the air channels, there is a guide available, accessed by pressing the list button on the remote. Very handy. Really appreciate the streaming channels that LG offers with this model. The remote functions almost like a mouse, it did take a day or so to learn and get used to. Very happy with this model, planning to purchase again for our family room.

With televisions coming down in price and including such great features lately, for me it is hard to justify paying top dollar for a top-end unit when this type of TV is available at such a good price. The picture is great, it has plenty of connectivity options, it is very light and easy to mount, and it even comes with a fancy remote that can be used like a pointer. Bottom line, unless you are looking for a very specific feature that this doesn't offer, I can highly recommend it as a great all-around unit.

Bought this TV over the equivalent Samsung 7 series based on reviews and am very happy with it. I own 3 Samsung TVs but both professional and purchase reviews were better on the LG 7300 and on sale for <$400. Overall the picture is great, setup was very easy until getting into the advanced picture settings which were a bit time consuming (basic setting changes give a pretty good picture so most will probably skip the advanced setup), and the remote is better than Samsung's.

I came into the store looking to purchase a 50 inch 4K smart tv I talked to the sales associate Danny and he made some suggestions. I decide on the LG 7 series it had everything I was looking for and it was on sale for a really good price. I made my purchase and then the sales associate even loaded the tv in my car. It was a quick and painless transaction.

We bought this TV to replace my older LG that finally gave out after 13 years. I thought that picture was good, this one is way better. You would swear the people are right there in the room with you and you could touch them. So clear it’s amazing. This tv also has a lot of features and options to customize it to your liking. We love the remote and the fact you can use the curser instead of having to arrow over to type things in, so much faster! Great TV at a great price!

When I bought the 50" LG LED 4K TV, I didn't realize how sharp the picture could be. Also, the TV itself is very easy to pick up and move. This attribute came in very handy as we moved the TV from room to room while deciding which spot was best. We actually couldn't decide between two spots, so I bought another one! The LG Smart channels which come with the system are a revelation. We are still discovering all the channels. Easy to set up, worth the money.

I love this TV and i'm so glad I bought it. I wanted a smart TV and that is what I got. I can watch all of the streaming shows on Netflix , Disney and more. The color and picture is awesome. I have Samsung TV's and they are both great TVs but I feel the color on the LG is just a bit better. It's best if you get some type of sound bar or a wireless speaker, which helps improve the sound quality. LG is a great TV, at a great price.

Have this on the wall in the living room as the centerpiece of the entertainment center. Remote and tv work great hooked up to Mac desktop that also serves as our main computer in the home. Never going back to a 24” monitor. Movies work great and paired with some Mackie cr3 Desktop speakers they sound awesome together. Easy to use and very easy to hang with one person and the right tools. Lots of cable hookups

The ease of setting up this TV with 'smart' connections has been a relief during this prolonged stay-at-home period. Easy access to Netflix and Hulu and have started to enjoy the LG channels as well. Sound quality on this TV has also been a surprise - don't think we'll need a sound bar after all. Special thanks to the Best Buy rep that helped me wade through the many TV options to find a quality product at low cost.

Have a 65" (oled) and 43" (led) LG 4K UHD TV in addition to this 50". Only has 2 inputs, but since that is all we needed, it works for us. I really like LG (switched from Samsung). Great picture. Good sound and volume. The Magic Remote is really nice and the reason why we spent the extra money and bought this model. Easy to set up. Controls and settings are intuitive. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

Purchased this LG tv as a replacement for my daughter’s previous LG whose screen went out after 6 years. Super easy installation and set up. Smart tv with all features built into to remote included with purchase. Remote has voice command, very cool. She views Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ all on this set. Nice quality and extras for a 50” set priced so reasonably. Have owned for 5 weeks with no issues or problems.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I purchased a nano cell for Christmas 2019 and was Skeptical about purchasing this one without the nano’s cell but for my bedroom it is amazing great in the dark room i have black out curtains and also in the day time the set up is easy and with the magic remote there is no confusion cuz the tvs keep them knowing to what tv each remote belongs too.

This is one of the best televisions I've ever had. The picture is so clear and vivid. The best part was the set up. This purchase was to replace a 1st gen high def plasma tv that weighs a ton. The new tv is super light weight I can lift it and move it around with just one hand which was great as this was a Christmas gift I was able to set up it alone very quickly.

I love everything about this tv. The picture is very clear and it was also very easy to set up. I love the voice control remote that it comes with. I am still learning about all the features but the most important thing is that it comes with 100? Plus channels do I do not need cable. I would recommend this tv to everyone and plan to get one for my mother for her birthday!

This TV has great sound without a sound bar, easy to set up, picture is great as long as you are sitting directly in front of it or at just a slight angle, otherwise the picture starts washing out. Magic remote is fairly easy to use and easy enough to turn off Alexa, if you don't wish to use that feature in the remote. Overall, I feel the TV is good for the cost, so this has been a good investment for a second TV.

    Inexplicable—no spec's 50"/60" VA—but great PQ !

Concerning this LG 50UM7300, the major problem is with BestBuy's website, along with every other website that reviews/lists/shows LG UM7300 TV models. In that, the 50" & 60" UM7300's have 'VA' panels, as opposed to 'IPS' panels. But BestBuys', and every other website that can be found— only lists marketing & spec's & data pertaining to the 'IPS' panels ( the 43", 49", 55" & 65" panels), while also listing and selling the 50" & 60" size models (which again, have 'VA' panels— of which spec's & data do not appear to exist for). Nevertheless, we are very impressed with the 50UM7300’s picture quality (PQ - of which spec’s & data apparently don’t exist on this planet :~\ ). fter 3 days of use, and would rate it as good-to-very good in contrast, brightness, black levels, reflection handling & wide-viewing angles. As for screen uniformity and/or DSE… thankfully we were a winner in the so-called ‘panel lottery’. As our panel, after running several tests, appears flawless. Phew !=) With no spec’s or data of any kind to review, I wasn’t sure what to expect; I guess I had convinced myself to expect a rather dull, under-whelming PQ, (after seeing the dull, dark store-picture-loop at our local BestBuy store), lacking any super brilliance of any spectacular kind. Safe to say not anywhere near the caliber of the Samsung Q70, or Sony X900, or Hisense H8F, (all of which are rated higher than the UM7300 in a popular [' Best 48”, 49", 50" ' ] review). However, the overall picture quality of the 50UM7300 (w/ VA panel) is indeed much brighter than I expected, with good contrast (though again, no spec's seem to exist), and black levels and shadow details good—although we haven't watched the tv as yet in a pitch black room. Reflection handling seems decent so far, in a semi-bright bedroom with lights on, and two 3'x5’ windows opposite the tv at approx 12’. Is the reflection handling as good as the IPS panel sizes? Could the refection handling spec’s be similar to the UM8070 w/ VA panels? Who knows? Another mystery. Here again, no data seems to exist for the 50UM7300 w/ VA panel. :~\ The PQ at wide-viewing angles is not only much better than I expected, but appears amazingly good, imo; in fact, as good or better than all of the IPS panels that I’ve viewed in store showrooms over the last six years! Wait! What? How could that be? Being a VA panel, shouldn’t the wide-viewing angles not be good ?:~\ Again no spec's & data, so another mystery. Upscaling of our any 480p or 720p DirectTV satellite content signals seems excellent; 1080i & 1080p both look excellent; 4K HDR videos via YouTube™ look brilliant & gorgeous!! Fresh out of the box, un-calibrated, without tweaking any settings (except for picture mode), motion blur was noticable on small fast moving objects like hockey pucks, and sports action, etc. I suspect mostly due to the 60Hz panel, from what I’ve read here in rtings, regarding 60Hz panels. Also noticed what looked like somestutter whilst watching a 4K flyover video via YouTube™, but it could’ve just been the video ; not sure. The WebOS smart interface is very smooth and fast, (we are now so glad we didn’t choose Vizio M507 or M558, due to their industry worst smart platforms and prevelent quality control issues, even though the Vizio PQ spec’s were better). Voice commands via the LG ‘Magic Remote’ work great. Settings UI is easy and intuitive to adjust. And the internal speaker sound quality is also much better than expected and much better than average, by our opinions. So all in all, an excellent value, in our opinion, for a budget 4K TV in the low-to-mid $300 price bracket. Here's hoping some of the abv ^ may help anyone trying to decide upon the 50" or 60" sizes (with the 'VA' panels). And we would definitely recommend this TV to a friend.

When my family and I first saw the color in this television we all agreed we had to get a LG.All of them have beautiful picture quality. When this thinQ came onto the market in 2019..I did not think I would be able to afford more than a 32 inch in this series Thanks to bestbuy for making it possible in just a few months from putting it on my wishlist. It is a very lightweight model..it weighs only 25 pounds which made it perfect in a 50 inch with the magic remote to mount on my bedrooms drywalls!! Nothing this gorgeous has ever stayed on that crappy wall!!My ThinQ is holding strong on a all motion wall mount!! The sound and picture is wonderful in my bedroom..no sound bar needed!! My family all over dance party and the little ones enjoy their Xbox in my room which everyone agree to take turns because the color and screen in vivid is awesome!! My next purchase will be a LG keyboard..so I can use my awesome smart tv as a computer. So happy to have this ThinQ while on quarantine

I've always stuck with LG as my main TV since the start of the flat screen era and this unit does not disappoint! Of course A/V purist are gonna have their opinion but this TV is great for modern counsels like PS4/PRO, Xbox one, Switch etc. And if you have classic counsels they actually look good and have all the proper A/V connections of course it's gonna require adjustment on adjusting on your part to get a good picture you would like. And as far as HDR and HD content it looks great! Now I'm a realest I know there are other TV's and tech that looks alot better like OLED but!......... It's a great unit for the price if your on the fence I hope this review will help.
