Loving the TV Life with My LG

Have/had Samsung LED TVs, found them to be great. My older TV died, looked for a replacement. Samsung and LG 50" were same price but I took a shot with the LG because of the Magic Remote. Technology has improved in 7 years so yes the LG is technologically improved, especially the picture. When i was comparing them in different stores,my old eyes couldn't really notice a difference so I went with the LG to try out the remote. Easy set up of the TV, took a little longer to figure out the remote (we have DirecTV) bit it paired up nicely. Overall, for $329, all's good.

    Replacing an old Sony 1080p

Bought this for my son to replace an old 40” Sony1080p. He had asked for the model down from this, but after some research I decided to pick this one. He plays games on his Xbox, and this model is much better for gaming. I have a 65” OLED tv, so this one doesn’t compare. To be fair my review is based on the upgrade from his old tv to this one. Almost all brands have good pictures in this size, but the processor in this tv is what gives it an edge in my opinion. The remote makes it easy to navigate menus. The built in apps are quick to load and convenient.

I am so impressed with the 4K UHD picture on this TV. Clear, crisp, even makes a lot of old black & white movies and color cartoons even more real. I highly recommend it. There was a little bit of a learning curve for me with the menu and setup options, I suspect mainly because this is my first flatscreen. But I did get used to it reasonably quickly. The legs are not the best, but I'm sure they would hold for a long time. However, I will be mounting this on the wall, so I don't need to worry about it. Overall, an excellent unit!

I updated from a very old tv, so I am late to the party. But I am just astounded by all the features of this tv for such a low price. The sound is really good and the picture is beautiful, colors are great. I love how it is compatible with Apple and non-Apple products and everything is so easy to set up. My internet is not the greatest in the room it is in, but it deals amazingly - better than my laptop. It was the perfect corona buy. After I told my neighbors about the cost, they bought it too and love it as well.

I love the size and picture quality is very sharp and colors a vibrant. Very easy to setup. Almost two weeks after setup my picture freezes up. No specific times or channels. I have to power it off and on to unfreeze it. I was told by tech support to move my antenna around and check the connection to see if that helps. It did not. I told him it was fine for a little over a week and now this. My curser on my magic remote has disappeared from the screen as well. I love LG products. I’ve purchased several items from them for many years and they all perform with excellence. I’m baffled with this one.

Even though it doesn't have 120Hz of refresh rate, I've used this TV to play my Xbox One X a lot, I just play FIFA, I don't mind about motion and more. Picture is really good and vivid. For the price you pay don't expect to have an OLED, it's an awesome TV, 50" is a good size when the apartment isn't too big and also goes with your budget. I recommend any LG TV, software is good, updates every 2 months. No problem so far after 7 months of use, it was 100% new, sealed when purchased.

This smart TV has some nice features. I can go straight to Netflix or Prime video by pressing those buttons on the remote. I can EASILY cast from my phone to it and I can press the speaker button to ask for a station or show, and it takes me there. I can speak "Youtube" into the remote, and it brings it up right away. It has a very high def picture and it doesn't heat up the master bedroom, it stays cool.

This is one of my favorite TVs. I have always stood buy Sony if you want to pay a premium and Samsung if you’re looking for bang for your buck. But this TV has swayed me to LG. The tv is beautiful. Picture quality is great and the remote with its mission tracking pointer and voice control is a must have in my opinion. If your looking at TVs in this size and price range I highly recommend it. I’ve had it for about six months and love it.

I’m not going to lie I was a little worried about buying a smart tv especially when it could possible smarter than you but this was by far the best purchase I’ve made in 2020. It not hard at all and talking to your TV is about the coolest thing you’ll ever do. It’s not heavy it clear and if you have a good internet connection you set. Also the Air Play yea that made me day. I have absolutely no complaints so if you want a nice, smart as hell 50” TV THIS IS IT!!!

I purchased this as my first HD TV because I like LG products and have not been disappointed with the choice. I am amazed at the clarity of the picture. Very easy setup using the instructions included. I had to contact cable company to get a HD cable box and once I did I was astounded. I should have done this earlier but my old TV gave out and I used the Best Buy website for information and will do again for the next one I purchase. So glad to get this just in time for football season.

Gotta say I really like this tv. First one I’ve owned in 8 yrs and the picture is amazing. The smart tv functionality is great as well. I haven’t engaged Alexa yet, but other voice commands work great. Only issue I’ve had and can’t seem to fix is that, mind you I don’t have cable just internet, when I turn the tv on it goes straight to white noise and static. I can’t figure out how to have it just open to the home screen or the last app used. It’s a little thing, but kind of annoying.

This is a great TV. The picture quality is excellent, the remote / on screen pointer is a pretty cool feature that works great after a minute or two of getting used to it. The TV connected to WiFi without issue and is working perfectly. The guys at Geek Squad mounted it over the fireplace with the sound bar and it is good to go. I liked this 50” so much, I bought a 43” for my office and a 55” for my youngest daughter. Now to get the 82” for myself and we’re good to go!

Purchased this as an early gift for my kids and the television blew me away. Was torn between this 50” and a 55” different brand at the same price. The features along are really impressive. Can connect wireless headphones to enjoy the sound without disturbing the house and the smart remote is awesome. Picture quality is clear and sharp. A definite keeper!

This is the first smart TV that is actually smart. The Alexa app doesn't work as if it were an Amazon product but that might be better since it isn't always listening to everything you say. As the summary states the magic remote is amazing. It operates like wii remote and allows a much easier user interface than always having to click left, right, up, and down.

My TV broke just as the pandemic lockdown had begun. I ordered this TV as a replacement on BestBuy website and used the curbside pickup. The picture is stunning and the SmartTV features are really awesome. Note: I had to call a couple of people to get it hooked up correctly to the comcast XFinity box, but it was all setup within a couple of hours. Bonus that it's really LIGHT, so it was easy to carry up a flight of stairs!

Picked this up on sale for an absolute steal to use in my loft for tv and dvd viewing. It's got a great picture and sound if you're just looking for a solid basic tv. Note, the 50" model of this tv has a different panel type than the other sizes of this model. It's a VA panel instead of IPS so it does a bit better with displaying black levels than the other sizes but you do lose wide angle viewing but that wasn't an issue forme.
