This is my second LG television set, the first one was a OLED 65” set, and I was so pleased with the picture, I purchased this one for the office. Once again, the picture is excellent - with only two considerations. First, almost all of the settings for the picture are just too dark at default setting, with the exception of the “vivid” setting. So I had to settle for the vivid setting for all viewing, the other settings are just too dark. Second, I get the fact that LG is concerned about burn in with the screen, but the setting to turn on the screen saver cannot be changed and it comes on so fast, you cannot even listen to music on Apple Music or SiriusXM without the screen saver starting after less than a minute. Terrible setting and evidently there is nothing that the consumer can do for a work-around. Regardless of these two squabbles, the picture is beautiful, the quality of the set is remarkable, and the remote is fairly intuitive. The WebOS has been improved over the larger set I bought one year ago, as the webOS interface is now no longer an after-thought on the screen and now takes the entire screw to view all the third party apps. I mounted the TV set on a movable cart and it works perfectly, see picture. I see no need for a sound bar in this setting,

This will be my second and last time returning this TV. It has a really good picture and it seems to be a very good deal for the the $.
Unfortunately, I returned my first one the second day after seeing what looks to be some white lighting around the edges when darks are on the screen. Not very noticeable during day time from all the light, but evening time and low light, you can really see it. The second one I picked up from the return was even worse than the first one. Not sure if it's a manufacturer defect or if that's the way it's supposed to be, but it doesn't seem right to me.
I have an LG oled and have been very happy with it. Thought I'd try another LG for the bedroom but was quite disappointed. Will return it and not picking this one again.

LG 50" NANOCELL
4K LED UHD WEBOS. I LOVE MY NEW TV!
I Still Have my old 50" Westinghouse TV I bought from Best Buy 2015 and it works great and it's on 24° a day but its not a smart TV or 4K TV. So it was time to upgrade. I studied for about a year what product I wanted to purchase and having 2 - 42" Vizios 1 Smart & 1 Dumb, 1 - 50" 2014 Smart Philips (apps no longer work or supported, 1 - 42" Sony Bravia works fine, 1 - 24" RCA dumb TV = 6 TV'S that are on 24/7 in a home of 2 adults. And I wanted 2-65" to replace my retiring 50" mirrored elderly TV's, but I had a hiccup. And needed a TV (glad I didn't get the 2 65"s yet!) I knew what I want and the price couldn't be beat anywhere! I love the options of the magic remote. And the sound options are fantastic. Im not connected to anything presently except power. Im on You Tube TV and it lets you record and LG TV. Too many channel options. It's also currently my computer. So I have a 50" computer screen as well. Absolutely love this TV. I'm a fan of LG smart phones as well. This is not a good picture and I did not get my stand yet. Yes i would recommend LG Nanocell TV's

I love my nano. I bought it specifically for the filmmaker mode which I use for watching old movies. I don't like to watch movies that were meant to be seen as a film presented in HD. It gives a soap opera effect that takes away the warmth and authenticity film provides.

The only thing going for it is the picture. You can not add HBOMAX app. and I am not sure which other apps it will not recognize. The controller is NOT user friendly. The apps icons are tiny and hard to see. It is not worth the price. The remote has a ball in the middle of it which makes it hard to use. The remote is like a point and move mouse for a computer. The stand is wobble and does not give good support for the TV.

The LED technology is substandard on this TV
If you’re planning on buying this tv over the cheaper model, just save your money and get the cheaper model instead.
I bought this (4K, HDR, nanocell, and bla bla bla) to replace an store brand HD Roku tv, thinking I will get a dramatically better picture, but the results are pretty underwhelming to say the least.
Don’t get me wrong, if you got an 4K movie with HDR and all the right cables and and players or the right streaming level subscription (Netflix 4K streaming for example) you can get a descent picture as long as you don’t turn of the lights, but anything less than that will look dolled and bland.

Decent Entry Level Nano Cell for the Money

This is my first LG...I am ALL Samsung--even down to my cell phones. The LG NANO75 2021 is an entry-level 4k NanoCell TV.
However, the clerk in the store told me that the LG, at this level, outranked my Samsung at a similar quality for 2021. It's a different type of machine, in comparison to the Samsung UHD. The picture is pretty good, I would say somewhat better than Samsung UHD for day viewing, especially with regards to how motion looks. It has wide viewing angles, which is great if the TV is mounted. It is excellent for gaming, as it has a low input lag. Moreover, it's decent for watching sports or TV shows during the day thanks to the wide viewing angles, and it has low input lag for gaming. Unfortunately, it's not a good choice for a dark room for watching movies, as it has low contrast, no local dimming, and inadequate black uniformity. You will likely need to manually adjust your picture in settings to get it halfway decent. I have my contrast set as high as it can go, and the picture is pretty good there. You likely will not take advantage of the different viewing modes because of this.
Most of the settings for the picture is just too dark at the default setting, with the exception of the “vivid” setting. The "sports" setting is so lackluster, even if you're sitting in the dark watching sports. Movie mode is not that great either. So I had to settle for the vivid setting for all viewing. The other settings just do not cut it as they were too dark, not crisp, and the black colors are just dingy. The deeper the black, the better the pic.
With the over concern about screen burn-in, the screen saver comes up really quick when you watch for a while and there is no activity. If you are listening to music on Apple Music, Xfinity TV, or SiriusXM, the screen saver starts in just a few minutes. I haven't yet figured out a work-around for this. My Samsung TVs to the same, but not as quickly and they allow you to change the screen saver, at will. The remote is fairly intuitive, but the pointer feature often makes it difficult to use the pointer with accuracy. It's almost a pain! The WebOS I understand has been improved but is probably better than on the 80 series which gets better customer ratings, overall. The TV, like most, is loaded with third-party apps, inclusive of LG TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc. I use it with the Vizeo Sound Bar, with woofer and compact back speakers and that enhances the overall experience--in some regards, the sound is better than the picture.
Overall, it's a good TV for the price and would make an excellent PC monitor or gaming screen. It's great for regular TV watching, especially in the day and the wide viewing angles are a plus. Great 1080p, better than average 720p, lackluster in terms of brightness and crispness, and poor black and gray uniformity. Great apps on the TV, intuitive remote, and decent features. Although it doesn't get very bright, it has impressive reflection handling, so you shouldn't have any issues placing it in moderately-lit rooms. If you want vibrant, rich pictures in darker rooms or at night--this TV may disappoint. Samsung is good for that.

I bought this TV to replace an LG I used for 5 years. The backlights we're going bad on that model. This tv is more colorful than others I own. The picture quality reflects the price range of the TV. I think most people would be happy with it. Make sure your black level setting is on auto. Otherwise, the screen will look washed out in the dark.
Filmmaker, cinema modes seem redundant, and have a slight difference. Vivid, sports mode will need to be adjusted if used. Standard, expert bright, or expert dark seem like decent modes for normal viewing. Standard is an energy saving mode as is aps. I can't see much difference between the two modes. Again, I'm not sure why both are necessary. It's curious comment more than a critical one.
My panel has some very light vertical banding, vignetting in the corners which causes minor dirty screen effect during bright scenes. Nothing that wouldn't be viewed as unacceptable. Every panel is slightly different.
Overall, I like this TV and think it shows more detail than entry level models from LG or other brands.

Ive had the TV for about 4 months and it is BY FAR the best tv Ive ever used/owned/seen! I bought it in the 50in and it has a beautiful picture. The software on it is fabulous and the remote is a huge upgrade from the last model. It has a very small border around it and is pretty thing. When i was looking at tvs this was a little more out of my price range but i kept going back and looking at it and figured it was worth it for the money and it definitely has been. Best you can get for the price. I wont buy samsung anymore becaude of how bad there products bave gotten but this deliver. 100000/10.
