For years, I've been a dedicated Samsung buyer—I even still own a 55-inch Samsung set. I was fully prepared to purchase another top-tier TV, but I decided to take a chance on this LG AI TV, purely based on its appealing budget price (under $250). I am so glad I did.
The Performance is the Surprise
This LG LCD TV has completely exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is incredibly crisp and detailed, performing far better than a non-QLED screen has any right to. The brightness is strong, and the color reproduction is noticeably improved compared to other sets I've owned in this price range.
But the real standout feature is the sound. It is much louder and clearer than expected, easily beating the volume and fidelity of my previous televisions. It's a huge benefit right out of the box. I plan on keeping this TV for the long haul!
My Only Small Gripe
My single complaint is the remote control—I find the layout and functions more complicated than necessary, but that's just my personal take.
Final Verdict
If you're looking for fantastic performance and exceptional value, skip the high-end lists and give this LG a try. It’s a genuinely great TV!

The color and sound is nice. It has a lot of picture and audio options that you can choose from that I enjoyed. I also like how it has the Xbox gaming on the side which you can access through a monthly payment and a gaming controller. Fun. :)

I love my NEW 50inch LG TV! I have always purchased SAMSUNG televisions ,for some reason, thinking they were the best except for SONY. So, having returned my SAMSUNG because of the difficulty SAMSUNG was putting me through just to change my phone number,(SAMSUNG requires a 2 week waiting period to change your phone number which in my opinion is ridiculous) I wouldn't be able to sign into my SAMSUNG account for anything for those 2 weeks. I've always had issues signing in at my SAMSUNG account! Anyway, that was the reason I returned the SAMSUNG TV and exchanged it for the 50" LG. The LG apps set up is so much better, so many features that SAMSUNG doesn't include and the Picture is clearer, just better all around. That really surprised me. I'll alwsys buy LG from now on. Oh, and you can have the TV and Soundbar together synchronized and it stays on . You don't need to reconnect everytime you turn your TV off and back on. Also, the SAMSUNG doesn't have an optical connection, LG does!

I couldn’t be happier with my new LG 50” UA7000! The picture quality is stunning — crystal clear 4K with vibrant colors and sharp details that make movies and sports look amazing. The AI upscaling really enhances older content, and the sound is surprisingly rich without needing a soundbar.
The webOS interface is fast and easy to use, with all my favorite streaming apps ready to go. I also love the voice control and how seamlessly it connects with my other smart home devices. Setup was simple — out of the box and watching in minutes.
Overall, this TV feels like a premium model at a great price. Perfect for anyone who wants excellent performance, modern smart features, and that sleek LG design. Highly recommend!

I have always had good luck with LG TVs. When I needed a 50" TV and I saw that I could get a 50" 4K LG for only $229, I snapped it up.
TV is good quality - I like the picture, sound is ok for built in speakers. Good connectivity.
I don't prefer the built in smart tv functionality of any of the makers so I will be using an Apple TV box with this so I can't speak to the current state of the smart TV (I leave wi-fi turned off).

Light weight and good picture quality. This is my 3rd LG tv and oldest one is still working at 10yrs old. Great panel and webOS is very easy to use.
This unit isnt one of the high end TVs so dont expect too much from it but 4k movies work perfectly with the unit.

Bought for use at bible study class at church. Normal quality for Lg product. Main issue is Youtube app wont work just like one I have for home. Seems to be no way to get it to work so have to use web browser which is more trouble to use. The remotes are the worst of any remote Ive used though. Poorly thought out button placement.

This was my first time purchasing the LG brand TV. I must say that the set-up was very simple. The quality is wonderful and the item was very fairly priced. Will recommend to others as the opportunity presents itself.

I went to buy a TV to replace my 25 year old Toshiba TV. Teh sales agent was knowledgeable and guided me a better product, which is a few $ more than what I was expecting. I am very happy with the product. Good quality picture and sound. I strongly recommend this product.

Very nice tv. Color is sharp. Remote is difficult to use but less difficult than the remote for the LG 65" tv we bought last week. Very disappointed in that the Geek Squad doesn't come to your home to set the tvs up and answer questions. The group that comes to set up and explain how your tv works are second and third party providers and so far speak limited English. This is challenging when I as a buyer don't understand Spanish and I ask questions on how to do something and the individuals just look at you and doesn't know what you are talking about. I was told to "play with the remote and I will figure it out"! Hence another third party provider is coming tomorrow to help. The LG tv is a beautiful tv but the service that you pay a high price for isn't

A 50-inch TV offers an immersive viewing experience, ideal for medium-sized living rooms or bedrooms. The screen size provides a great balance between significant visual impact and manageable physical dimensions, fitting well into various home entertainment setups. For those prioritizing a cinematic feel without the space requirements of a much larger screen, this size hits a sweet spot. Picture quality and smart features vary by model, so choosing one with good resolution and a solid operating system is key to maximizing enjoyment. Overall, a 50-inch television is a practical yet impressive choice that can easily elevate your daily entertainment.

Good tv for the price. System is much slower at pulling up apps and shows than my previous smart tv and I don't like that it required me to get an LG account to add additional apps that weren't pre-programmed. But again for the size and price it will do.

Doing my homework priorto going to Best Buy to pickup a TV to replace my Fire TV, it came down to LG or Samsung. The deciding factorfor me was three HDMI ports for LG and only 2 for Samsung. This may not be a deal breaker for you, however, I'm using all three HDMI ports. Set up was quick, the image on the LG was dazzling, so bright and clear. I didn't realize what I was missing on my Fire TV.
