This tv is awesome. I waited about a week to consider if I should buy this tv or go with a cheaper option which had 4k on it as well. The picture looks great wither you are watching tv on it or playing games on it. Im not going to sit here and say its the best tv in the world but it is up there with some of the other top brands. I have had tv's from Samsung to RCA and this one for the $299 price that is at is a very good option.

Got this for our bedroom and we already own a TCL. The lg had a great deal going so we took a chance. Setup was simple and picture looks good but the TCL 6 series is definitely better to my eyes. Also the TCL Roku smart menu and remote are so much better. The lg remote is junk and not backlit so it’s hard to operate at night. For the money you can’t go wrong with this though.

I moved to a new space and wanted a "perfect" television in my bedroom. After more than a few visits, I landed on the LG. The picture is fantastic, color is beautiful, great features and size. Set up was almost too easy that I was afraid I'd missed a step and "Viola" all is well. Being a smart TV, it's more than a television, it's a visual aid. Purchased at Best Buy during store opening sale, so the price was just right... Purchase an LG and you will not be dissatisfied.

I brought this TV in Open Box status . I did not expect perfection. What I see is a little bit of blurriness that clears, then the TV is so clear its like looking through glass. Even though none of the cords came with it, doesn't matter. This TV is great, no damage, scratches, or cracks. I do recommend Open Box as an option if you cannot afford the full price. I actually brought 2 the other is 65 inch at great holiday prices.

I got this TV on Black Friday. It was very cheap and I like and trust LG. So, I was surprised at how good this TV is. I have been a consistent supporter of Sony tv. I have stuck with them for a very long time. I was not expecting this LG to be as good as the Sony sets. There is no doubt that LG has swept past Sony. (This may not be news to the younger generation). So, if you need an inexpensive TV, this one will do the trick.

This review is paid for from compensation by Best Buy. The 50" LG UHD TV is replacing a 48" Vizio 1080p unit that was not very smart. Even though this is a smart TV, I greatly dislike the remote control and have plugged in my own Firestick via an HDMI port. I feel like the picture quality is better and I have more control over the TV than using the native app. That being said if you do not have a service of choice the TV is a great budget item value for what it offers. The HDR appears to work nicely. The TV is very bright. So much so that I have to turn it down from 100 to 10-12. I feel there was very little brightness change from 100 to 20, and then 20-5 is where you actually get some control over the brightness. The sound is good enough - and offers a good bit of choice for what you are listening to. I always choose the voice booster so that I can keep the volume at a lower level while still providing clarity. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. The TV has good solid mounts, and is light enough that I could lift it and screw it in to the mount that was already installed.

awesome picture, the price is great, fast processor allows you to fast forward and rewind streaming shows with a breeze. The live TV menu/functionality is much slower for some reason. The game mode creates a darkness that really enhances the gaming experience the remote control buttons are small and there are just too many and it needs a backlight for when you are in a dark room

Easy setup and registration. Good sound and picture quality is good. the tv can be wall mounted ( purchase separately). Or you use the legs that come with the tv, that attached to very ends of the tv. Make sure your table is long as the tv 50+inches or more. The legs cannot be adjusted for a smaller desk. The screws for legs are much easier if you use a drill.

We bought this TV after returning a Westinghouse unit that we’d bought the prior day that was factory damaged (I assume, since it was new in box and had an intermittent screen defect). This TV only cost $75 more, but is much nicer. I also appreciate that this TV has a full remote as opposed to the other TV having had only a Roku remote (which is maddening considering none of these new TVs have on-unit controls anymore). It was easy to set up, has been easy to cast to, and has pretty good sound quality. Get it; you won’t regret it.

Great picture, smart tv features easy to use for a novice. Basic (non-magic) remote is simple but allows easy navigation, much better than fire tv stick remote. Good price during mid-October sale. At the Coralville Best Buy store, staff Edith was a huge help - gave info requested, asked good questions to understand my preferences, and made suggestions but wasn't pushy. Wish all salespeople were like her!

I’m very happy with the new TV I bought. I went from 42” to 50” and 4K HD. This LG model was recommended by the sales person and she explained the different features. I bought a pedestal support for it due to the smaller console it was to sit on. I’m very happy I did that too. It’s very stable. The picture is bright and clear and switching from Uverse transmission to other Apps is quick and easy.

I originally bought this TV as a gift to a family member but I ended up keeping it to myself. It turns-out that I made the right decision because I truly got my money's worth. It was easy to mount because it's light weight and all the good qualities that comes with it like the thin, sleek, ease of use and resolution was awesome too. Next TV for me will be the LG OLED 75" from Best Buy!
