We purchased this TV to replace an old Samsung TV. We wanted to get an updated SMART TV that would allow us to conveniently use our various streaming services. The quality of the pictures is pretty good and the colors seem natural and accurate. Sound quality overall is pretty good and we like being able to select a sound option that is easier to hear. As others have commented, the operating system is painfully SLOW. It's slow enough that when you press a button you think you must not have pressed it so nothing happens. You press it again only to find out you did press it and it then completes two commands instead one. You then have to back up and go back to where you wanted to go. The remote control is not lighted and that is a pain when it's dark. The remote appears to be designed for old school channel changing from a cable company. If you do 100% streaming the remote is difficult to use because the controls are small and located in spots that aren't easy to access, especially when its dark. All of our remotes I can operate without looking at the buttons except this one. At night I have to use my phone to light up the buttons to press the correct ones. We also just bought a Samsung 43" TV for the bedroom and the operating system is much faster. It also has a better remote control. The picture of the Samsung doesn't seem as accurate but it is pretty good. So, overall, it's been ok but misses on some basics.

Excellent Picture Quality and Smart Features

I recently purchased the LG - 50” Class UQ75 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV, and overall, I'm quite impressed with its performance. Here's my review highlighting the key features and some minor drawbacks I encountered. Let's start with the positives. The picture quality of this TV is exceptional, delivering stunning 4K Ultra HD visuals that truly bring content to life. Whether you're watching movies, gaming, or enjoying your favorite shows, the vibrant colors, sharp details, and excellent contrast make for an immersive viewing experience. The UQ75 series truly shines in this aspect, and I couldn't be happier with the visual quality it offers. The smart functionality of the webOS platform is another highlight of this TV. Navigating through the user interface is smooth and intuitive, allowing easy access to a wide range of streaming services and apps. The built-in Wi-Fi connectivity ensures seamless streaming without any buffering issues, and the ability to customize the home screen with your preferred apps adds a personal touch to the user experience. Despite its impressive performance, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. Firstly, the TV takes a bit longer than expected to boot up. While not a major issue, it can be slightly inconvenient if you're in a hurry to start watching your favorite content. Patience is required, but once it's up and running, the experience is definitely worth the wait. Another minor drawback is the remote control. Although it is functional and responsive, it lacks a backlight feature, making it difficult to see and navigate in a dimly lit room or during nighttime viewing. This can be a bit frustrating when you're trying to make adjustments or access specific buttons without sufficient lighting. However, this issue can be resolved by using alternative backlighting solutions or investing in a universal remote. Despite these minor inconveniences, the LG - 50” Class UQ75 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV is a solid choice if you're seeking an excellent picture quality and a wide range of smart features. Its stunning visuals and user-friendly interface make it a great addition to any entertainment setup. With a few improvements in boot-up time and remote design, this TV would easily earn a full 5-star rating. I would definitely recommend this TV to those looking for a high-quality viewing experience with smart functionality, as long as you can tolerate the minor shortcomings mentioned.

t is a decent TV for the price. The setup was easy, but the legs being close to the sides require a big tv stand, at least 50 inch in length to barely fit. As far as picture quality it is good but I agree with the reviewers that remote is not good, it is very unresponsive when you are navigating internet media content or smart features. I will most likely buy a 4k Roku stick. Some apps are not in the smart tv such as spectrum tv. The sound is okay for a typical smart tv, but I opted to buy an LG sound bar to enhance its sound quality. And the tv looks good esthetically

I'm really impressed with this TV. The setup was easy. If you spend some time learning how to dial in the settings, you can get a great picture. It does not have as good of viewing angles of the 42" plasma TV it replaced but it is a good value for the money spent. The only weakness are the speakers, I intend to add a sound bar later. This is my first LG product. If it does well for a year, I'll consider upgrading to a nicer model.

Have had this t.v. since Aug. The tv has been doing really good. The picture quality is really impressive. My only complaint is watching really dark scenes at times. The blacks are almost too deep and it makes it hard to see anything going on. I have tried to play around with settings to not have such a dark picture, but even on our older Insignia we had similar issues with some t.v shows and movies. I love the fact that you can flip between if your tv is wall mounted or sitting on it's feet, so that way the sound can be projected differently and not get muffled. The sound quality is also really great. Music mode sounds good, as well as many of the other options. Flipping off the sound to the t.v. to a soundbar standalone is also incredibly easy. if that is something you want to do. You could even toggle having sound coming out of the t.v. and another device. There is a bit of a delay when flipping between modes of entertainment, though. There is an initial lag when turning the t.v. on, and then if you were to click the YouTube app, it can take a few moments to really fully load. If you flip between HDMI channels or other apps, there seems to be a bit of a delay. I can imagine that it may be frustrating for some, who may want things to respond really quickly. It does get a bit frustrating sometimes, but for the most part it is bearable. Overall, the t.v. has been really impressive and we are happy with the purchase. There are a lot of bad reviews out there, which had me really worried about having to replace our old Insignia t.v. Let's face it, things are getting expensive and we don't all have the money to just throw out the window for a potential dud. We did a lot of research before purchasing a new t.v., and we ended up getting this model which was a bit spiffier than the LG model we were looking at initially. This model has been really good to us. I will update if anything changes.

I got this LG after some disappointing issues with a different brand. It is solidly built, but not too heavy. It has a great picture, and good viewing angle. It has crisp color and contrast, and is easily adjusted for different viewing applications. The settings are pretty intuitive and easy to navigate. All in all, it's a great TV... Except for the lousy remote they give you in the box. The pics in the ad DO show they give you the standard remote, NOT the premium 'Magic Remote', but the pic is buried down in the "+15 pictures" section of the ad, so you don't see that unless you're looking for it. Now, a basic remote is okay, I guess. Except when it stops working 2 days after the Best Buy return period is over. 2 days! I have an extended warranty, but this is still an LG issue, so I contacted them about it. After talking to 'Peggy' in Faraway-stan, I finally got them to send me another standard remote. it will just will take 10-15 business days. So I went online and got the 'Magic Remote', that I feel SHOULD have come with this TV in the first place, sent to me the next day. The standard remote will go in the TV box when it gets here.

Picture Quality: LG TVs, especially their OLED models, are known for exceptional picture quality. The blacks are truly black, colors are vibrant, and contrast is excellent. Even the mid-range QNED and NanoCell models deliver sharp and colorful displays.

Great picture and sound without a huge price tag! Bought this TV to use specifically as a second TV on a mobile stand on the patio to watch multiple sports events on the weekends. The only issue we had is that LG uses the same RF signal on the remote as Vizio which is the TV mounted on the wall already. Every time we change the channel or volume on one TV it affects the other. A quick google search confirmed that they are the same and you can't reprogram to a different frequency. Solved the problem by moving the LG to husbands office and he is very happy since it was an upgrade. Now wall mounted with a sound bar and able to stream all of the programs he wants while working. The remote control is pretty "busy" and it's not voice response. Lot and lot of buttons to navigate.

Good colors and screen clarity. Better than my old Samsung TV. Lots of nice features. It's a little challenging getting the sound quality just right. LG could add a few more settings for this and ensure they work correctly. Overall...I'm satisfied with this TV.

Seriously, I’m going through and doing a bunch of reviews in hopes I can get that $400 gift card so I can buy this tv again. I already own two, and a third right next to the second in my game room would complete my home. The apps you can download are pretty much the same as on every smart tv, but what sets the LG aside from the others is it has its own built in free cable app where you can watch so many different channels. Great sound quality, you can adjust the every setting you can think of, and it’s very lightweight. Was able to hang it on the wall myself.
