Open box failure. I've bought several open box TV's which I saw functioning on the wall. This was wrapped up in bubble wrap and I hired a carpenter to hang it. It never turned on. I had bought the 5 year geek policy and thought they would come out and deal with it in my home but was told I had to go through LG's department. Insult to injury. Had to do Live Photo s with an LG tech to demonstrate that I had no cracks in the screen. Frankly, it was humiliating. Then book a repair with LG, a week out, and again pay the carpenter to remove it from the wall. Ultimately, after the tech was told during the service call that LG did not have the circuit board to make the repair and to return it to the store. I'd give a zero on this one if I could. The individual stores don't answer their phone calls and they direct them to a call center. It's the best way to lose a customer. The store, itself needs better management. And the company needs to make the store own the problem. And answer the number on the website. Personal service cannot go out the window.

The tv was fine for the first month and a half but after that it started to get lines intermittently. The only way to fix the lines is to turn off the tv and wait a minute or two before turning back on. It seems to happen after the tv has been on for an hour. The remote also doesn’t work well. Sometimes you have to hit the button more than once for it to work and then it works all at once.
