I tried a few other tv brands and they broke down quickly with the picture being subpar but every LG tv I’ve ever bought has stood the test of time and the latest one is definitely my favorite. Very easy to use, very clear to view, and reliable.

Beautiful picture. The remote has actual number keys, not just a wheel. Very light weight. Easy setup. Root-up time is a little long. Got this for 92 year old grandfather. When it's not instant-on, he pushes the button again, shutting it off, then on again, then off, etc. Just wait another second an it comes on.

I’ll give this 2 stars even though it should be 1. Gets 2 only for the picture quality. Going by picture quality this could be 4 or 5 stars. It’s very good. What fails is the remote. The UI. It is terrible. First, I have a Magic Remote from a different LG TV. Does it work on this TV? Of course not. They want you to buy another one to pair with this particular TV. Sound? Same thing seems to be true of external speakers. Near as I can tell you have to use an LG soundbar. Nothing else works. The UI? Not intuitive at all. Something as simple as setting a sleep timer involves multiple button pushes, when it should be a dedicated button on the remote. But by far the biggest problem is the Home Screen. Taking up what I would guess is 15% of the Home Screen is Device Functions. These include Edit App List (which has 2 separate icons. Both the same.),Guide, User Guide, and Home Hub. (See Edit App List above. Again 2 separate icons. In case you can’t find one, use the other?) Once you have your apps installed are you really going to edit them? Once you learn how to set up the TV do you really need the User Guide? And of course the bloatware. You get the idea. Can not, and would not recommend an LG TV.
Hi Tom. Thank you for your detailed feedback on the LG 50UT7570PUB TV. We’re pleased you’re satisfied with the picture quality, but we understand your concerns regarding the remote, UI, and sound options.
For remote compatibility, please ensure you’re using the correct model for your TV. The LG Magic Remote compatible with this TV is specifically designed to enhance user experience.
Regarding sound, while LG soundbars are optimized for our TVs, you should be able to connect external speakers through the appropriate audio settings in the menu.
For the UI issues, we appreciate your input and will consider it for future updates. In the meantime, you might find it helpful to consult the TV's manual or online resources for tips on navigating the settings more efficiently.
Please send us a private message on our social media platform via @LGUSSupport if you need additional support or have further questions. We’re here to assist you in making the most of your LG TV. ^Sam

+Color is great
+All the apps are there so I don't need an AppleTV or a Roku +The LG webOS is easy to use (way better than the one I replaced...my friend Sam sung it was so easy)
+It's Matter protocol, so it stays connected to Apple Home (unlike the teleVIZIOn I'll probably be replacing with a LG next)
-My only complaint, and it's minor, is that I need a special remote to work the television and a non-LG soundbar. It even let me use the soundbar and the tv speakers combined, which sort of makes a 2.1 into a 5.1, and allowed me to sync up the sound. In my mind that outweighs the remote issue, so this LG 50" UT75 deserves a 4.5 out of 5.

This TV is great! The screen looks clear and vibrant, sound is also loud and clear. As of posting this review, the images for the back of the TV are inaccurate, as the power cable is now built-in the back of the TV and all 3 HDMI ports are next to eachother on the left side of the TV, and the 2 USB ports are also together next to the 3rd HDMI port. The OS for the TV is quite laggy at times but its still useable I love this TV.

The tv itself is great. Great color and sound. Liked so much i bought two. Easy to use even for an old lady like me. However the remote itself leaves much to desire. Small buttons. Should light up. And very slow reaction time from pushing button to action on tv. Tried several battery brands. New ones. No change. Nothing in front of tv. Working with lg.

Love this TV. Picture is great. Love all the Smart TV functions. Was able to connect my Bose wireless headset and earbuds easily. The only reason I give it a 4 stars instead of 5 is the remote buttons are so tiny and the layout makes very difficult to maneuver by feel. You have to lock closely at the remote everytime to make a selection. I set it up to work thru my Roku remote/device which works great.

Works excellent with antenna and network. A mandatory first step in setup is to change from "store" to "home" mode in settings and perform other adjustments to your liking. I can't stress how important this is to prevent the "soap opera" effect. Following adjustments including zero sharpness this set delivers in the picture department well over it's price. I did buy this when on promotion and am thrilled with the picture quality once properly dialed in. Sound is meh and even an economy bluetooth soundbar will offer an improvement if wanted. TV remote will control the soundbar volume. The supplied remote is only ok - especially due to the lack of backlighting. I understand there is an upgraded LG remote which will add some voice control ( mayby to ofset the backlighting situation with the origonal remote or to just generate gadget sales is unknown to me). Anyway - for what it costs and delivers I would reccomend this to anyone with the caviat that proper setup and adjustment is mandatory.

This a great 50" TV for the money. The picture is sharp, and the colors are beautifully natural. The picture is surprisingly good even when you're not sitting dead in front of the screen. I can't really speak to the smart TV features of this model, since I prefer to use my ROKU. But I have used the built-in web browser to watch ABC.com shows. (Awhile back ABC and FOX removed their apps from ROKU, so the only way to stream their programing for free was to watch thru the web browser on your PC or tablet.) Since there's no mouse and you have to navigate using arrow keys, the web browser is a bit awkward and slow to use, but it gets the job done. I use an external speaker, so I can't speak about the TV's internal speakers.

back in the days, I used to buy the best of the best, just to watch blue ray movies and video games. But now every TV offers the same image. PC gaming change it all for me.

This is a great television. 55” LG with AI assistance. I bought this for the bedroom and it does not disappoint. The picture quality is amazing. It’s a 60hz television but the AI picture mode makes it look like 120hz. The sound quality is great as well. This tv is fast too. Opening apps is instantaneous. My only complaint about this tv is the remote. There are so many buttons that all feel the same and no back light. If they had lit buttons then it would all be perfect. 5 star tv for under $400

I used to buy Samsung but my research said that LG has really got the picture and reliability and wow what a picture! I am gonna hook up a Roku stick for streaming because most of the tv OS Smart systems are quirky to navigate through. But it does work. Hard to believe you can buy a 50” tv for this price. Definitely recommend.
