This is not a high-end TV, but offers a lot of features for the price. Note that I was able to take advantage of some programs and sales during Black Friday to obtain the TV for about $350, including tax. I will provide a quick Pro's vs. Cons: Pro's: Price Clean and Bright Picture Smart Features are Adequate Thin, and Large for Price (small frame as well) Ease of installation/Setup Cons: Judder (Not the ideal TV for Sports or certain Video Games) Applications like Netflix can be laggy, compare to Roku 2 Sound - To be expected for built-in speakers, not awful Other Comments: This is a great TV if you care about price first and foremost. If you have plenty of folding money and want the best of the best, look elsewhere. This is however a very good option for budget-minded consumers. It's a solid performer, and I would buy again. Other reviewers complained about the viewing angle, but I have found the viewing angle much better than expected, and have no complaints about this.

We've had this TV since early December and it's been great. PROS: Clear picture, great price, love the built-in SmartTV apps that it comes with. Easy to set up and get going - the remote is very handy and easy to use with the apps. CONS: Doesn't support HBO Now, which stinks because we love that channel, but we can get it on our XBox. It also only has 2 HDMI ports so if you have a lot of devices, e.g. Chromecast, DVD players, gaming systems, etc. you might have a hard time finding homes for them in the ports. We don't have much plugged into ours, so that's OK for us. All in all, a great TV. Glad we went with LG.

TV has a nice picture, quick startup & easy setup. If you are not planning on mounting it on a wall, you'll be disappointed with the very basic, blah-looking feet. When I turn on my home theater system to make use of the surround sound, the TV pops up a message asking if you want to switch the TV's video input to the Blue-Ray player - which is probably handy for some people, but annoying to me. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the TV.

I wanted a smart tv that would create a theater like environment. for my daughter and it sure does. The picture quality is so clear that if I were an actor I would think twice about being filmed without a screen to soften the wrinkles and pores on my face. The sound settings, especially the sports sound setting which is just like being in the stadium, are wonderful. I can watch tv in the night on a low 6-7 sound setting and still hear clearly every word in a drama. This is the PERFECT TV for my daughter who pooh poohs cable. Apps aplenty come with it like 2 weather channels, FM radio, Newsmax, CBN, You Tube and many more. Because I am not the most tech savvy person it took me a while to get the routine down with the remote - one with which I am not familiar but my daughter picks it up and has no problem navigating. It was a breeze to set up. I am tempted to purchase one for my home. No more Netflix casting from an Iphone. This is the way to go. Better make sure that you have AT the VERY LEAST a table width of 66 inches to put the Television on if you are not going to attach to wall..Comes with 2 AAA batteries in remote..

I paid $400 for this TV, my first HD big screen. Is it the "latest and greatest"? No. And it probably wouldn't be for a perfectionist. But for me, this TV is perfect. It was extremely easy to set up and the picture in HD 1080P is stunning. I had to make just one adjustment to the overall picture mode and that was to put it from normal to game mode and the colors and tints and temperature of the picture are perfect. The sound from the stock internal speakers is pretty decent too. For the price I have a real smart TV with many apps available for easy download from the built in LG App Store. I have Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, VUDU and YouTube among others, and believe me, these are enough. No lag whatsoever playing hi def movies off my wi-if. I am completely satisfied and happy with this TV, especially for the price. The TV even has an app where if you download the corresponding app on your iPhone, you can play any video content from that phone onto the TV in full HD and full screen. Nice. No, it's not 4K but I don't think it can be beat for $400.

I love this tv. It was easy to set up and has a beautiful quality picture and never freezes. I would have given it 5 stars, but I have had an issue with the remote. I googled the fix, but it should not be happening as it is brand new. Other than that I am pretty happy.

Prior to purchasing this TV, I debated over buying a 4K and compared to other models. This one seemed to be the best value. Owning Vizio and Samsung, I was interested in how it compares. This TV surpassed my expectations. The picture is vivid and sharp. Much better than my VIzio and Samsung which are 4K. While this model is not 4K, the picture is awesome. The menu's are simple. Smart TV functions are smooth. I was comparing this to a Vizio model and a review criticized it because a smart phone was needed to cast it to the TV. The LG smart features are built in. My only complaint is one of the HDMI sacks is behind the TV wall mount. While I didn't need it and you might be able to still use it, it should not have been in the vicinity of where a mount could be. This flaw is minor and the performance of this TV outshines anything. I have this TV on my Lanai , have Fios TV and am using it without a box. It captures all my local channels and many others.

The tv was a great deal that has a goid picture, light weight with more screen and less border. The only thing I don't like is the stand legs on each end. Would have prefered an option to have rotation with stand in the middle.

I am not much of a techie...at all...but, I was able to get this TV out of the box & set up by myself in under an hour. This included having to install the "legs" and lifting up into my fireplace area. Very simple to connect & to get Netflix & Amazon Prime & YouTube going. The picture is excellent in my unprofessional TV reviewing opinion & I have no issues with the sound. I had read many reviews prior to buying this model & a few people had mentioned the sound being too quiet on some of the LG TV's...but no issues here. It is likely that if someone came over & adjusted the picture quality, mine would get even better...but I just plugged it in & went with it. Great TV for the money, ease of use & quality overall.

I initially went there to pick up a Samsung 49" that I had bought online. But after looking around I found this 55" for only $100 more and it was a smart tv. Easy to set up and use. Should have bought 3!
