My wife and I previously had an old Samsung 42" TV. I purchased it while I was in college, and it had a few small blemishes in the screen. We decided to pick up a new one on Black Friday. I ready multiple reviews on different TVs from different stores, but finally decided on the LG from Best Buy. Not only was the price the best, but I felt like we were getting the best TV for our money by going with the LG. We briefly talked about buying a 4K capable television, but we didn't have anything capable or playing 4K content, so we decided to settle for 1080p and save some money. I'm very happy we did. The picture is still very clear and vibrant. Overall, I'm very happy with our decision to buy this TV.

Got this TV as an open box missing the stand - that's fine as it's mounted on a bedroom wall. The picture is great for what it's being used for (bedroom of course!) and large enough for the room (if you're looking for the best picture etc. this isn't it - though most people probably wouldn't be able to tell). As with most LCD's it's pretty bright but not so much that it feels like it's burning my eyes. The Smart TV part works great too - just be aware that toslink and the 2nd HDMI connection etc is in the back toward the middle. It required some work (and a nice HDMI adapter) to use those ports with an articulating wall mount. Very pleased with my purchase (and for the fact that it didn't break the bank)!

We're loving our new LG 55" 1080p. The picture is awesome and I noticed minimal difference between it and the 4K's, even with the 4K's playing their enhanced DVDs because no one is offering 4K broadcasting now. Or in the near future. The price advantage and the lack of 4K programming made this choice a no- brainer. Being a smart tv only made this good tv better. My advice- worry about 4K when it becomes a wide spread option (several years down the road) and save the money and get this great tv now. Even with 4K you won't see much difference and they'll be down in price by then. Would I recommend this? definitely!

I chose this TV because the picture was clear and overall unit cost. The TV looks good, has ample features but lacks a way (no RCA out's only fiber optics out) to hook up to my 1999 vintage Yamaha Surround Receiver (no fiber optics in). For me, the remote control is confusing past basic functions like power on or volume; keys so small I needed a jewelers loop to read the text to find certain functions. Not much in the way of instruction manual was supplied. But again, as price was and is a consideration this LG (in my opinion) was and is a good value for the money. Overall, so far so good and we are happy.

Love the picture color, size, and ease of set up. Love the "Smart" TV aspect and ease of moving between the TV, blu-ray, and online aspects.

Great picture and great price. Only concern was feet for Tv are spread out and not a pedestal so finding a stand was a little hard.

Everything we wanted. Great picture! Great price! Haven't used all the features yet but initial set up was easy.

This is a wonderful TV. Love the smart elements of it. If you fall asleep while watching TV it will either turn off or go into screen saver mode. Depending on what your settings are. Excellent picture. The only problem is with getting the sound adjusted correctly. The sound goes out of the room more than coming into the room so I get complaints from my other family that my TV is too loud and I don't think that it loud at all. And NO I am not losing my hearing. LOL.

This tv has a great picture and sound. The preloaded apps are easy to use. Very light weight.

Bought this tv as a cyber Monday special. I installed it as an outdoor TV in a protected enclosure. So far, it has performed flawlessly. The screen is bright although difficult to see in direct sunlight (but I would expect this from most Tv's not specifically designed for outdoor use). Easy to use menus and smart features. Excellent picture quality and rich colors. Not oversaturated. Integrates well with sound bar. Would definitely purchase again.

The fact that it was on sale being a smart TV and perfect size. The quality is awesome.

We purchased this tv because my son cracked the screen on a sharp flat screen tv I had for 9 years. This is my first LG product. Ive only had it for a couple months but so far everything has been great. I'm not too picky when it comes to electronics but I was advised by an associate to stick with the better brands like Samsung, Sony & lg. Although Samsung is my first choice the price on this Lg made the decision for me, only $399.

Great picture and easy to program. Light weight and simple to hang on wall mount.

55 in led 1080p hd smart tv for $350. Who would have believed it a year ago. Fantastic picture, great sound, easy set up just wow. Only con is the remote. It is small and not very responsive but with cable I use that remote for 75% of features. Just way to good to pass up. Since signal availabity has not caught up with tv tech capabilities it will be years before I will upgrade.

The set has a great picture, a smart set, and was a reasonable price.

Picture was great even when not in HD. Plenty of USB Ports for my use. Easy to set up and start watching. Would buy another one in a second. Good customer service. I asked many questions and Best Buy answered all of them to my satisfaction. They helped me load it and away I went to watch baseball.

Worst I can say about the tv is in the area of extras. It is web 2 OS which is a lean version of smart tv. Haven't found a single item home app that will control tv The good. The picture is amazing, the colors are just spectacular and the price for a major brand allows me not to buy the Visio, insignia and sharps at a lower price. Once again pleased with an lg product
