I wrestled with myself for a while searching for a 4k TV in my budget that could handle the HDR feature on my Xbox one S, this did not disappoint! Great TV for such a low price!

We purchased a Tivo Bolt a few months ago which has 4 streaming and for the holidays purchased a Xbox One S which supports 4k as well so I thought I would do research on a new 4k TV. Many reviews say standard 4K tv's you really won't see a great improvement over standard HD, but last year a new technology came out for 4k TV's called HDR. There are two formats for HDR. HDR10 which many movie studios and some TV manufactures support and also Dolby Vision HDR. If you have a 4K TV that supports HDR10 you will only be able to view HDR content that is formatted for HDR10. With Dolby Vision. It supports both Dolby HDR as well as HDR10, so no matter which format takes hold and wins, if you get a TV with Dolby Vision, it will support both ( Make sure with your TV manufacturer that through firmware update they enable this, Dolby Vision is capable of this) But HDR10 cannot be upgraded to support Dolby as Dolby Vision is a chip based system that only works on TV's with this Dolby chip built into the TV. Now that I have given a background on HDR for those who dont know much about them as I didn't when I first was looking at TV's lets get to this TV. This TV has an amazing picture quality. With a True motion 240 sports events with fast moving looks great. Thats the big difference between this model and the xxUH6xxx model LG TVs. Normal HD pictures look excelent, We have watched SD video from out Tivo which looks great as well. 4k the picture is amazing and the HDR picture is stunning. Never have I had a TV before with such great picture quality. The only downside to this TV and with other LED TV's is the backlight in real dark scenes you will have light bleeding. You can control this with picture modes to give you an excellent picture with minimal LED light bleed. The only way around this is to get an OLED TV which is 2-3x more expensive than standard LED TV's. The WeOS on this TV is fun to use. With my last TV, it was a smart TV and I could do netflix and other streaming services but it was hard to access the smart functions. Accessing the functions on this TV is very easy to do and I love the Magic Remote. Again, I have never really used a remote from a TV that much before having a Tivo but I find I use this remote on a regular basis. To get access to the great 4K capabilities you will need to use a streaming service like Vudu, Netflix, Amazon or a few other services or get a UltraHD Blu Ray player. If you are into gaming, get an Xbox One S which does 4k and has an Ultra Blueray player in it that supports HDR and the cost of the Xbox would be the same, if not less than getting a standalone Blu Ray player. Up to this point, I have been an Avid Panasonic customer with TV's but Panasonic does not sell TV's in the US anymore and with research I decided on LG and could not be happier. My family loves the TV and the picture quality as well.

The Geek Squad delivered and set everything up and explained features. I would definitely buy a system this way again. No manuals to read through and the tips provided where extremely helpful and user friendly/

this t.v is good so far i like it i would recommend to my freind

i enjoy playing my nintendo switch on it but when it comes to movies when the movie comes to a black scene its not fully dark you can see white bars on some parts of the tv not sure if its just the one i got that does that but other than that its a great tv

Had this tv for a month and I'm impressed. The smart remote is really awesome and the Interface is a pleasure to work with. The blacks on the tv are excellent for the price as well. Other tvs have better blacks but at 800 bucks this tv was an excellent purchase.

I had no issues with my last LG. This model had good reviews and was half the price of the top rated LG. Although more than what I planned to spend hopefully this is worth the extra money for 240 vs 120 motion. So far I haven't seen a lower price on this model 7700.

Upgraded from a 47" LG, this is an impressive panel. 4k bluray is legit, watched some i-max movie and there was a sunrise i actually had to squint! Love the "expert" settings, almost have it perfect now. Can't beat it for $800. loses one star for the iffy stand without swivel, panel is very heavy and if i need to move it, it tries to fall over.

I've actually not had the time to play around with everything this TV can do yet, but the picture is nice , it's easy to use and it looks great in the living room.

I bought this TV for my parents in 65 inch and was blown away by the depth of detail. Had to buy one for myself. I watch a lot of sports, particularly hockey and the color/detail bring the game to an entirely different level. You will not be disappointed.

I could not be happier with my purchase. The TV is huge, the clarity is amazing, and the apps work great. It's a great smart TV without being overly cumbersome.

When I set a TV change my life that will be putting it mildly, this is one of the greatest things that is ever happened to me I didn't think a TV can be so amazing and wrapped around me like big loving arms is the television that I can't live without

Super happy with the build!! this is my 1st smart TV and after reading reviews on several other brands I settled on the LG and I'm glad I did ,4K movies look awesome bluray looks amazing and standard dvds look great although I am running all disc based movies on a Samsung 4K bluray player still LG made a gret TV for a nice price
