Would agree with CNETs best tv of 2016 review. Nothing out there comes close to what this tv offers and at its current price point. HDR, Dolby vision, '4K' UHD OLED. The firmware has been updated to help with lag for HDR gaming(PS4/xbone)
Add a decent sound system to go along with an amazing picture and you're set.

This is my second 55 inch LG OLED TV. I have had the first one over a year and it still has the best picture I've seen on a digital TV. This one is just as good if not better. The first one was not wall mountable so I bought this one so I could mount it on the wall in my living room. This is a beautiful TV with all the features you would love. I didn't get 3D because I seldom watch anything in 3D but everything else is awesome. Easy connection to the internet and easy to use. The family will love it. I have xfinity Cable and all the channels are digital so all the channels are crystal clear. Perfect, but not cheap!

I picked up my Tv a few months ago from Best Buy and could not be happier with it! I am just about ready to ditch my Apple TV and FireTV and just use the included Smart TV apps but will reserve judgment on those. The TV was simple to setup, works fine with my Sonos Sub/2 Play1s/Playbar for GREAT sound and easy to use operation. It works with my Harmony remote and with Alexa for voice control (good luck getting that all configured though! - it took some time but is worth it and the Harmony even dims the lights for watching TV at night and turns them back on when the TV goes off!)... love this TV!

Minor assembly required - to attach the base so that it can sit on a desk. I'm sure wall attachment is possible. Connections were easy to make
No headphone jack. Optical audio converter was used for headphone connection. I think it has the ability to connect to Bluetooth headphones too.
Picture is phenomenal. It comes with the ability to locate web TV (almost like a built in Roku!) It uses WebOS 3.0 which is not compatible with Kodi (Fire TV can be connected to increase channels).
The remote was interesting to use but very easy. Well laid out buttons.
I would buy another when I'm ready

Awesome picture. The black tones don't wash out on dimly lit scenes (like the assault scenes in Zero Dark Thirty). Vivid colors. Easy set up. Love this TV.

unfortunately TV's have become a scam now days think you have to spend the most to get the best is not true.
This LG TV is great I must say but compared to my old 3year old Sony 850wb only thing it does better is when 90 percent of the screen is black and I'm not making this up oh and the 4k resoloution looks better if your standing 3ft away but any farther and you cant tell any difference.
this tv can get a bright picture but when the screen is mostly white a led has the edge so take your pic of washed out whites or not so ok blacks. honestly I found out I don't like the curve picture C6 after a while it was messing with my eyes so I returned this C6 and got the B6 they are supposed to be the same tv but not quite well the 3D is missing on the B6 and that is noted but after doing the updates with a usb stick "cause the automatic updates will not give you the newest firmware"
I found that the B6 has a little faster INPUT LAG around 25ms in any mode and the C6 was around 35 only in game mode.
Also the C6 has a slightly brighter picture and I must say the 3D is really good best ive seen when playing ps3 games xbox360 games and movies look amazing way better than the HDR Gimmick and the reason I say that is my old sony gets brighter than this tv in highlights etc no joke and colors are so close most the time but the 10bit panel of the B6 wins.
also I want to note I did try out the Samsung 8000 and I have to say the Lg OLED does beat the craaaad out of it and even my old sony does too and one of the reasons is that crudy edge lite backlight the 8000 has say if your head is not center of screen your picture is so uneven in dark scenes its not even a joke just terrible!
when you spend a lot on a new TV you expect to get a TV that does everything great but that's not the case really and the only way I know this is my family has all types of tvs so I can compare and most the time I'm really surprised for instance bought my girlfriend a 350.00 Visio tv and I swear its almost better for watching tv than this 2000.00 LG TV in some cases it is crazy I know,,
but for playing games the Lg wins.
Also we have a 60 Samsung 6300 and its overall better than the Samsung 8000 and so close to the LG OLED so way better deal honestly.
The smart features of the LG are really really great I must say web OS does everything well even the web browser is good.
if you have the money get this tv on sale for 1800.00 its not worth anymore if you want a better deal get the Samsung 6300 instead the picture quality is soo close and you'll get a bigger screen.
just my experience and opinion but then again I test these tvs out in every way with all types of content before I settle cause none are perfect.
Other notes here are these OLED TV's are really hard to set up very thin hard to pick up with one person so a friend should help to be safe and you'll need a usb and pc to get the latest Firmware with the HDR game mode.

I purchased the LG OLED55b6p based on the majority of professional review press touting its excellent picture. However during the initial setup; which is a basic cartoon type screen prompting the user to select basic setup preferences, I noticed a black spot slightly right of center on the screen. To my disappointment it turns out I have at least one dead pixel on my unit (It might actually be a block of 4). Now at a normal viewing distance when watching normal Blu Ray or 4k content it is impossible to notice. In fact the picture is amazing in 4K HDR. I recently watched an episode of 'The Grand Tour' in HDR and there is a purple flaked Dune Buggy in an episode and it is beautiful. The metallic flake of that buggy is stunning and I was able to confirm that it does not show as pretty when watching on a standard HD television. However from a closer distance watching a cartoon with larger blocks of a single color that little black spot stares back at me taunting me. So in reviewing the manual for this TV, LG mentions that dead pixels are considered a normal manufacturing defect.
As of writing this review I am torn. Do I simply return the TV for an exchange at my local Best Buy which I am sure they will honor no questions asked. However then I begin what many have called the panel lottery. Hoping to get another unit that is not defective. My unit has beautiful uniformity and is otherwise a joy to watch, but it is by all accounts defective. However minor that defect is it is still frustrating and therefore I can't give this TV a glowing review or a recommendation. Were it not for that little black dot this TV would by far be the best TV I have ever owned.

....well, I wish it was 65" or bigger, but for now I thoroughly enjoy my new LG OLED TV. :)
Went through 3 different TV sets until I figured that if I wanted quality and excellent picture, I have to spend more money and go with the best. And I was not wrong. Whereas before this purchase, watching TV was a once in a while activity, now is a nightly habit, as bad as it sounds.... We love the picture quality, especially on the 4k/uhd movies, series and documentaries streaming on Amazon and Netflix.
All through the embedded apps; my apple tv, fire stick, chromecast, they are off and disconnected, everything is so convenient and works so well with the LG WebOS that I do not use anything else. Also downloaded the iPhone app and am happy with the added benefits.
Regardless of how much I praise the slick look, added "smarts" or anything else, I have to come back to picture quality, which to me is excellent. Blacks are blacks, colors so vibrant, contrast and brightness so well balanced.
In the case of letterbox formatted movies, there is no light bleed on the top and bottom bars, they are consistently black and they are not a distraction from the viewing material like it was on my previous TV attempts.
The difference between a regular LED/LCD panel and an OLED is so striking, that I am certain that the technology will one day be the basis for all or most of the new TVs. As noticed lately, other top brands are introducing their own flavor of OLED so to me it is a sign to the direction of the market.
Read a lot of reviews before buying this unit and saw stars being stripped based on sound quality. In this day and age, especially when purchasing a higher end TV, at least a sound bar if not a full fledged home theater system is a must have. No TV will be able to give you a complete experience through the integrated speakers, regardless of the brand. It is unrealistic to expect a movie theater experience when the manufacturer needs to squeeze speakers in a less than 1" thick frame, together with all other components. Speakers need volume and space to move air.
Again, very, very happy with the purchase, to me it is what I needed so the quest is over. Good luck with your research and decision.

The reviews here and elsewhere for this unit are correct. It is that good!! It's an amazing TV which must been seen live to be appreciated. Don't hesitate one second if you're considering buying it. You won't be disappointed....The colors and picture quality are beyond compare. Built-in sound is great. Easy to set-up and operate.

I'm 66 years old. I have been chasing a picture that rivals what I see in a movie theater for 50 years. The closest I came is a tv I still have for the past 24 years. A Proton vt296. But now it has been beaten by the LG OLED B6P. This tv shows what the signal is like. If the tv signal is good and strong, the picture is accurate and beautiful filled with accurate colors, incredible depth and unbelievable black levels. If the signal has problems, it will display them. I found out Directv varies the signal quality from station to station. Network tv looks incredible. Cable stations vary. I'm not a salesman. I'm not interested in selling you a tv. That's up to you. But I can't think of a more accurate, beautiful, rich picture than this tv has on display. If you can afford it, buy it. You won't be sorry.

We replaced a 10-year-old Sony Bravia with this TV a few months ago. I chose this model after reading a bunch of reviews and decided on it based both on quality and price point. I decided not to go with a set-up for an extra hundred bucks so the BB drivers brought it into the house, referred me to the unboxing instructions printed on the box, and left. Probably the hardest thing about setting up this TV was getting it out of the box, and that wasn't difficult. However, it IS a two-person operation, as you need to avoid pressure on the screen and lay the unit down on the box, in which you have re-inserted some of the styrofoam packing for support, in order to affix the stand, and then again to place it where-ever you are going to put it. We decided NOT to mount it on our century-old plaster wall and put it on a stand instead. So, once positioned, the actual set-up was easy, via the "magic remote" (lame "bird" character did not make it "fun" as promised lol). I decided to use wired connection for the net since the router is right there. I hooked up the cable, blu-ray, VCR (yup, VCR) and sound bar and we were ready to go. The first few days, I was astounded at the picture quality in comparison to the old Sony - now I am used to it. I read all the geeky stuff about calibration (apparently best done after at least 100 hours of viewing time), and decided on a particular pre-set for best viewing experience. My spouse noticed he had symptoms of motion sickness during some sporting events initially but apparently he's adjusted. One thing I have noticed, especially with the recent hot weather, is that this set does not throw the heat that the Sony did. Yay. I don't know whether this model is still available, but if it is, I would get it over this year's model and save myself a thousand dollars or more.

First of all, the other positive reviews posted here are right on. Initial setup was easy and subsequent fine tuning no harder than with any other TV I have owned. There are YouTube videos on how to unpack this TV and if you take a few minutes to inform yourself it will save time later. The sound is about average for a flat panel and I use an LG sound bar to get better audio. The picture is fantastic and the Netflix and Amazon Prime UHD streaming is very good.

I have had High End LED TVs, but nothing compares to this. I bought this on Sale two months ago for a fraction of the retail price. The price has since gone up 500.00 something that is almost unheard of for TVs at the end of the season. The colors, the blacks reminds me of plasma but a fraction of the weight and a fraction of the power. This far exceeds the Pioneer Kuros back in the day. Those were the tvs to compare this tv to for quality and picture.

I did a lot of research on tvs before buying this one. Frankly I was not sure that it was worth the extra cost above other premium non OLED yes. I can say after owning it a couple of months, I think it was worth it. The picture is outstanding, and the advanced remote that comes with it works kind of like a mouse when typing in search boxes (YouTube, Netflix, etc) which makes the whole process much nicer. I would definitely purchase this tv again.

Yes yes great OLED picture, so good, I surf the web on it now. Gallery view with a large TV is fantastic and fast but the main surprise was the user interface. You must try the remote. The TV tracks where you point and click better than a mouse. Plus easy navigation and access to apps. This is not just a new TV with a better picture. It is a new experience. 2 months in and I'm still surprised at how easy it is to do more than just watch TV. Thanks LG

Got the lg oled to upgrade to 4K. The picture is crisp and clear with the correct content. There are many colors that come through that other tvs just don't have.
The cons I've seen so far are minor, but still annoying enough to mention. Not all the picture settings are available in the menu. You have to choose a display type, and can only adjust the settings in that type. I personally was looking to change the color temp and it was only an adujustable setting in a type didn't prefer.
Sometimes you can get many artifacts around the edges of a moving image on screen. I believe this is caused by the motion rate, but I have not seen the setting to adjust that.
Overall this is a great tv and anyone willing to pay for it will be happy with the purchase.

I initially came in the store looking for a Samsung television but after talking to the blue shirt I decided to take a look at the LG. The picture quality is great and all the Smart features have Provided plenty of entertainment. It was easy to incorporate all of my other media to the TV (DVD, cable box, video games, smart phone apps, surround sound). If you are looking in the mid-range TV market this is worth taking a look at.

This is and outstanding TV. The picture is nothing short of amazing. Set up is easy, the remote is great and Netflix 4K looks ... well, really good!!!... I would recommend this tv to anyone looking to have the best!!! The black level is almost comical... watching in a dark room, if the beginning of a movie has a monment with just a black screen... you can find yourself in total darkness and wondering if the tv has shut off!!!
