My LG oled tv has a beautiful bright picture with very sharp resolution and the sound is much better then I had expected, The blacks are unbelievable and the colors are vivid and realistically true.

The picture is really a step above anything I've compared it to. Netflix has a lot of 4K movies now and we've been able to enjoy the enhanced image. The mouse feature on the remote is also a delight.

The picture with 4k content is just amazing. The upscaled 1080 picture is fantastic. The viewing angle is unsurpassed. A friend just bought a Zisio 4k and when watching mine his wife kept saying things like "why doesn't ours look like that, or why doesn't ours do that".She was in awe over how fast you can access features with WEBOS 3.0. The magic remote is sweet. Due to the OLEDs the blacks ARE place, not grey. Scenes from SCIFY spec scenes looks incredible, etc.

We had an LG 3D TV that this OLED replaced. The picture is great, I just don't notice a lot of difference in the two. Picture is great, colors are great, just not sure it was worth the $$ spent.

Excellent picture. Lives up to the OLED and HDR hype.
Lacks analog sound outputs. Only has one optical sound output so I had to use an optical splitter and optical to RCA adapter to use sound bar with analog headphones.
Tried Bluetooth headphones but Bluetooth connections very temperamental and required several inconvenient settings changes to use.

I have been a Samsung guy my whole life and was waiting for the new QLED. But I am glad I went for it and got the B6. The picture is amazing and the blacks make it look so much better to me .

I did a lot of research before buying this TV . My Samsung plasma 3D was starting to die. I believe the picture is every bit as good as my plasma ever was and has super deep rich black

Best TV Ever Purchased

Literally the best picture I have ever seen simply due to newer OLED technology. Performs far better than previous Sony XBR models I have owned. Highly recommend this model or new equivalent and purchase separate Bose Soundtouch 300 sounder and subwoofer; saving money over more expensive LG models as the only upgrades are the speakers. This way you get the best of both worlds. Considered Sony OLED...just far too expensive for exact same picture quality. They use LG OLED panels! Sony may have possibly better scaling engine...but with my HDR 10bit 4K movies, no scaling is involved, so picture quality should be identical.

This TV is wonderful. Deep blacks and colors and no light clouding issues. By the way, for those who are curious, this model has Bluetooth capability. I have paired various headphones, as well as my soundbar to this TV.
One thing I am happy about is the price I paid. I bought the unit the week before Super Bowl for $1,799. At the time of writing this, the price is much higher.

I don't really know how you could make a tv much better. Contrast is great and it just looks really good. I compared a lot of different high end tvs and nothing else was close.

We bought this TV recently when our 11-yr-old Phillips flatscreen was unable to be repaired. My wife saw this OLED in the store and said this is the TV we are buying. I immediately agreed. It is pricey, but we both are constantly delighted at the beyond-wonderful quality of the picture. The movements of people on the screen are SO life-like. We only ever own/use one TV so we figure it is a good investment. This 55-inch OLED actually cost the same as the smaller 11-yr-old Phillips did back then so basically it is even cheaper since $2K then is worth more than $2K now. If you are on the fence, buy this TV. It is really worth it.

LG OLED 55 inch TV

The LG OLED 55 inch TV is awesome. The display on most shows are fantastic.
This TV replaced a plasma TV from 8 years ago and the picture is night and day.
However, some TV channels that are only broadcast in low def are horrible to watch on this TV as they are grainy and blurry. There may be a setting to change that but I have not done any research yet. Nornally I turn to an HD channel if possible.
The sound on the TV is good, but adding an LG Soundbar makes the whole run fill with sound.

Even the packaging of the TV was well thought out. The unboxing and set up took less than 10 minutes. I had just bought a Samsung TV that wouldn't even turn on, and the set up for that was a nightmare, so I found the LG set up to be a big relief. Couldn't be happier with the function & performance of the LG TV. Connecting the cable box, DVD player, Apple TV & sound bar took just a few minutes and the process was so easy. The picture and colors with this TV are just stunning. So glad I bought this TV.

On black Friday, Best Buy had this TV for $1800. Yes, it's still more than other high end 55" TV's, but I couldn't resist the OLED at this price. Unfortunately the B6 flat model was sold out within a 250 mile radius of me. I got the C6 curved model instead. I am not disappointed. I don't really know if curved or flat is better, but I do know that I don't notice in day to day use.
Looks: WOW! It's a beautiful TV period. The subtle curve of the screen looks extremely good when the TV is off. The base/stand is nice with a clear piece that goes from the TV to the stand, which kinda makes the TV looks like it's suspended in air.
Picture: AMAZING! The 4K HDR picture is unbelievable. If you can find UHD HDR content, it will blow you away. A lot of Netflix Originals are 4K and 4K Blu-Ray's look stunning. My Roku Premiere + and/or TV apps try to upscale 1080p to 4K, but you can definitely tell a difference between true 4K and upscaled. The contrast is off the charts and the picture on this thing can't be beat.
Sound: It's OK, but it does support Dolby sound if you have a receiver. It's really a must have these days. These TV's are so thin. There's just no room for good speakers. The stock speaker is better than my old Vizio M series speaker, but you will still need a soundbar or sound system to fully enjoy the viewing experience.
TV OS(WebOS): I've used WebOS before. I am a phone junkie and I loved the old Palm Pre with WebOS. I was sad when WebOS didn't survive the smartphone wars, but I'm happy to have it on my LG TV. It's smooth, fast and easy to use. It's probably the best TV interface on an actual TV, except for Sony's Android TV built in TV's.
Remote: The remote is highly functional and has a point cursor type deal. It takes a few tries to get used to it, but you do. I'm still figuring out everything this TV/remote has to offer.
If you don't mind spending a little more on your TV, the OLED is the best you can get. It's amazing. Just do it! You won't regret it.

LG OLED 55B6

I purchased the LG OLED 55B6 based on website reviews and reading individual reviews. My decision was based on several new technologies, HDR (High Dynamic Range) and more, too many to mention but the HDR was the most important to me. I researched all the latest technology and patiently waited for over a year and was excited when I purchased the LG OLED 55B6. The sales staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with but as expected they tried to sale me a HDMI cable and explained why I should invest in the high cost HDMI cables. I passed on the purchase until I had the opportunity to research his claims. I also was offered an extended warranty but my credit card company extends warranty’s additional 2 years after the manufacture warranty ends so I declined. Being a smart buyer, which I assume you are to, I did my research based on knowing there are a lot of changes in technology and there might be changes in what is needed to get the best output of the new technology on the market. What we all know is just buying the latest technology is not all you’ll need to be able to utilize that technology. The signal source must also be able to transfer 4K/HDR to the TV in order to receive the new technology. That means if you have a cable box, satellite box, AV receiver, etc. it has to be 4K/HDR compatible or it won’t send the signal necessary to the TV so you can utilize 4K/HRD. Furthermore, the HDMI cables, everywhere I researched, is only the “conduit” or as one website called it “Dumb Pipe” that only transfers the signal from the source to the TV. They did recommend limit the length, and purchase High Speed HDMI cable but the cost is very affordable and not what the sales person was trying to sell me. Now moving on, I have the LG OLED 55B6 home, I wanted to calibrate my TV settings, through research this is a must. I researched online and found a couple sources but used the one on YouTube and so far I like the outcome. Everyone has their own taste and preferences so I’ll leave the decision on calibrating your TV up to you. For now, what I’m seeing I like very much.

It was easy to set up, I plan to call LG to review picture settings but enjoy the set. I wish more stuff was on 4k tv. When I saw 4k on my infrequent dish Chanel Wow.
