I'm a huge audio, video, and video game guy. I've been contemplating for some time upgrading to an OLED from my Panasonic Plasma in the living room. Nothing wrong with the plasma but have been looking to put this OLED in the living room and the plasma in the master bedroom. I regretted not getting it when it was $1799 last black Friday. They've had it at $1999 several times but finally a few weeks ago brought the price back down for $1799. I couldn't resist and absolutely no regrets. I've never owned an LG. I've always been a sony or panasonic brand buyer. I watched one of the NBA finals games on it and the picture is vibrant, crisp, and noticeably even better than my plasma I swear behind. I'm using a XBOX One S for UHD blu rays and couldn't be more impressed with the quality. I'm likely the exception and also enjoy 3d Movies at home. Watched a movie with my wife last night and the 3d is great! The one recommendation I would have is if mounting above eye level is to get a tilting mount for the passive 3d. I've owned active 3d TVs and no issue with angle or height. However, passive is great but different. Ours is mounted above the fireplace and have it on a rockfish tilt mount. When watching 3d, I tilt it down almost all the way and no ghosting issues. If I left it flat and even on the mount, ghosting with be very prevalent given it's mounted above eye level. Highly recommend !!!

We love our new TV! The picture is great and the set up was super easy, thanks to the Best Buy set up team. They hooked up all of our devices and cleaned up the mess we had before with all the cords. The curved screen, 4K and 3D experience is really special for us Senior citizens - we're so glad the guys at Best Buy showed us this TV.

I have had ample time to test this tv now, and have had it since February 2017. I can't praise it enough. I used to own a plasma tv, and when it died, I got a very nice led/lcd tv which was good, but left me a bit uderwhelming with contrast and the black levels. When that one unexpectedly died, I was fortunate enough to find this. It's price was good, the right size (55 inch is all I wanted) and had 3d and Dolby vision, the only oled in it's price range to have it. It paired great with my PlayStation 3 for 3d movies, and since then I now have a 4k lg player paired with it, and I have no complaints. The sound is very good for a tv when I choose to use it (usually have it through my 7.1 surround Onkyo system). I wish lg would have continued the 3d forward into the new models of oled in 2017, but they did not. I would recommend this tv to anyone, new, refurbished, or used even today, I believe it would be better than most still.

I waited a few months to really break the TV in before reviewing, but this TV is amazing. The HDR is amazing, and watching the Harry Potter films in 4k with full HDR is better than a cinemas experience. Netflix looks great on it, an overall better experience than our last TV. (our old TV was a 65" curved 4k samsung but was not an "OLED or QLED" product). Also, gaming on it has been fantastic. Horizon Zero Dawn being played on the PS4 Pro is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played, and I think this TV adds to that experience. Not only that, but I noticed a lot more particle effects in Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne than on the older TV screen that we had. The variety and denseness of the colors are not done justice on a pixelated LED TV. The cost of OLED/QLED TVs are substantial, but if you are looking for a great TV that you expect to last for a while then you should shell out the extra money and get an amazing experience from it.

This TV is amazing OLED is the best and only way to go. The quality is so far above anything I have ever witnessed before. I went for the curved model because of the 3D option. The 3D is movie theater quality and curved edges add a great movie watching experience.

The LG Oled tv is a great tv and very light. It has a very impressive picture and good sound. The 4K looks amazing with good smart features. The 3D can be beat. I have had Panasonic and Samsung tvs and the 3D on this tv is better. Highly recommend this model.

Okay so straight out I'm going to say this TV is great, especially for the price, HDR and 240Hz and whatnot is all amazing. Something to keep in mind though, while blue rays look incredible, I've noticed that because it seems to have such a great refresh rate, I'm not sure digital movies can always keep up. We watched the 4K copy of Batman Vs. Superman and it did great. But then I watched a digital copy of Captain America Civil War and I noticed that during battle scenes there seemed to be some gaps in the motion, like it couldn't figure out what should be there and just skipped a bit. I've noticed this off and on with other movies as well during fast paced scenes. And really it's not the TV's fault, just a notice that blue rays might be handy to keep around so pick up some as you buy the TV instead of an iTunes/amazon gift card (you usually get a digital copy anyway)

I bought this to replace a 2 year old LG 55UB8500 (4K not HDR). I had researched many TV's before pulling the trigger on this one. Now that I've had it for about a month now, I'm glad I did. The picture quality of the OLED vs the regular 4K, to me anyway, is like comparing 1080P to 4K...a very noticeable difference. This model is 3D capable. I like to watch the occasional 3D movie and I like LG's passive 3D better than others active 3D. I wasn't sure how I'd like the curved screen, but at the distance I view the set, it's not noticeable. Why the curved screen vs flat when I wasn't sure? Honestly it was the price for the features compared to the flat screen models. I also liked the idea of the OLED's being UltraHD Premium certified. Overall, i'd say money well spent.

I love this TV. I upgraded from a Samsung that was purchased in 2013. This TV is leaps and blinds better than the older Samsung and finally brings to reality what a smart TV should be. Picture quality is amazing. Blacks are deep and inky. When the screen goes dark is like the tv is off. You don't have the shadows or milky blacks from a back lot led tv. The picture alone sells the TV, but the smart features sweeten the deal. The menu is smooth and quick to respond. The layout is elegant and clean. My favorite features are some that are not advertised in the specs. You can stream mkv files directly to the television. You can stream just about any file and the TV will decode it. This gives unprecedented picture quality. I wish that there were more apps, but that's not a deal breaker at all. Who uses apps on their TV. The remote is awesome. Think of it like using a Wii controller. You can point at stuff to select things by waiving around the remote. Very natural and makes navigating easy. When displaying your android phone on the screen you can use the remote to select stuff on the screen. It's not limited to the TV built in menu. But it only works with your android phone. A connected pc still requires a mouse and the TV remote is just an overlay. Best remote ever. I just wish it didn't look like a toy. It is ergonomic and all, but the style is a bit off. All in all, these televisions are the best ever built to date. Nothing compares. Someone needs to add Kodi to it and it won't be beat, ever.

I have been eye balling this tv for a long time now. I was going to wait until it came down in price from its hefty price of 2500. On Black Friday I said I'll buy a cheap 4 k tv of about 600 . Fortunately for me they were all sold out. So I took the plunge and it gets better this great tv was on sell, and I managed to get the last one. The price is 3 times what I was going to spend but it's far better picture than most other tvs in this price range . The movies and especially the 3d is amazing 4k really makes 3d a wonder to see . Games and movies are amazing . Sometimes you have adjust the setting becuase not every content is made the same. Now if only there were enough 4k content as in tv shows, like tv. For the price range this tv is one of the best .

After doing some research on replacing my old TV, I purchased the LG 55" OLED Curved 4K Ultra TV. This is an awesome picture to watch. I LOVE it and really enjoy the curved screen. Looking forward to hours of watching my new TV and so proud that I was able to get it. I got it on sale so that helped.I had it wall mounted which was well worth buying and having Geek Squad install it. They were awesome too. The installer was so nice and gave me some good tips and I enjoyed talking to him; he seemed very knowledgeable about the new technology. Hope this pans out to be years of excellent TV watching. Hope network programs catch up with the 4K Ultra technology soon as that is the only downfall at this time. It's awesome, I love it!

Love the picture, Love the quality, no problems on mine at all. I was holding out on buying this to see what LG was gonna put out for 2017. After the announcement at CES 2017 that they were not going to make 3D TV's anymore. Well I had to pull the trigger and have had no regrets in doing so. While this isn't the brightest TV on the market you can't beat the picture quality. It is AMAZING! Some people are complaining about Judder. I have not seen any so I stopped looking for it. ;-). Look online for settings and you should be good to go.

It was an open box special and I got a good price on it. OLED has pure blacks and puts any LED to shame. The picture quality is very nice and the Tru Motion View is a true 120hrtz none of this fake motion rate. The picture is curved which I guess is nice, IDK, its different. You must hook this tv up to a surround sound the built in speakers are Dog Sh-it.

Couldn't be happier with this TV! I purchased this set because I saw the new generations of OLED's were phasing out the passive 3D and this was a feature I really wanted. The picture quality is outstanding, the 3D is excellent and the 4K imaging is so life like. The remote has a voice command option which makes it easier to search the web without having to try to type everything in. I did run into problems with purchasing at Best Buy as I had to visit three different stores and get a second tv after the first did not contain the accessories in the box. Would have ordered online if I knew it was going to be a hassle, but in the end I ended up with a great OLED tv.

Dolby Vision, HDR10, what else can you want in a TV. I thought about this versus Sony HDR versus Samsun HDR, but OLED is in a league of its own. The only complaint I have is menu system is totally redone. The network video player has limited decoder so H264 and Divx does decode well, but not so well for others such as AVI files. The wifi connection is very good, able to watch Amazon app with crystal clarity. The remote with motion controller is a little annoying, popping up anytime you move the remote. Pricey but bought it with $700 off black friday, but I think the sales have come back several times.

Let me start off by saying this is the nicest TV I've ever owned. I've previously come from owning 2 Samsung in the past which had issues. The color is extraordinary and life like. Now it does depend on what content you are viewing. Netflix has 4K content, but the only show that was noticeable was Marco Polo. I receive a notification that Dolby Vision is being used by the TV when the show starts. I primarily use 4K UHD Blu-rays in a compatible player. Just like Dolby Vision, I'm notified when HDR content starts playing. Even playing regular 1080p content looks great due to the OLED display. Never before have I been more satisfied with a TV purchase. On another note, I've never had good experience using built in apps on any TV or Blu-ray player. However on this TV they are very usable and I much prefer using them over any set top box. The software GUI and animations are nice. For all those interested in playing games it's really awesome! Whether you play on a PC or Console the experience is great. For PC users I recommend changing the Input Icon to the PC one while using the Game picture setting for the lowest Input Latency. In the Nvidia Control Panel you can select 4K / 4:4:4: even when using Game Mode. Make sure you look into HDMI cables with sufficient bandwidth and are not too long to avoid issues.

The picture on this tv is awesome. When coupled with a 4K source, even better. I was leery about a curved tv, but it is growing on me. 4 stars because i get alot of weird glare and reflections, that I feel is due to the curved screen. If you are in a darker setting, it's great! No regrets in purchasing this tv.
