Good picture once we got it setup. We mainly use an Apple TV and the color correction with the Apple TV made a huge difference. Our room is wide and very bright and this tv works well in the space, the picture is still good when viewed from an angle and it is handles glare and reflections well. Not a huge fan of the lg smart tv software but we don’t use it now that it’s setup. We have an older sony sound bar that actually works really well with the ARC and automatically turns on with the tv. The tv sound is ok by itself, pretty typical for a flat screen.

Love this Tv! Got it due to my old Samsung Qled falling in new apartment. This Tv whether straight out of the box or settings picked through and “calibrated” looks stunning and took me a while to slap myself sometimes and stop staring at it. Sure it’s not an OLED or the fact that yes there is slight blooming and dimming zones that will be visible but for an all around media, gaming, secondary computer screen, and main monitor at times. It’s fantastic. Would definitely recommend checking for open box or sales first but full price it’s still a bang for your buck, hands down. For that price I would think it’s more in the Samsung Neo Qled bracket but it definitely takes that mid budget do anything Tv category for sure. Also I’ve never and I mean never heard bass on tv speakers, if anything I usually never listen to them because I’m always anti-tv and or any laptop or mobile device default speakers. But I gotta say these are very impressive. With that being said it depends on your use case and environment. But not only can you actually hear bass in music or movie scenes but there is no distortion, at moderate levels of sound, it’s pretty great due to being able to use this TV for so many things.

Best TV I’ve ever owned! You get near OLED-like blacks. But no on-screen burns, best of both worlds. Very bright screen. The picture is amazing. I bought two of them in fact. I’m super happy. The only negative is the remote, I hate it. But I use Fire Stick, problem solved. Expensive, but worth every penny. This TV is a 10 out of 10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Very clear picture.and the snd is clear and has full range of sound.I find a lot of new TV's have sound that drops off at the sharp and high pitch sounds, which leaves a bland muted tone. Not this LG TV!!!!

While delivery was, once again, a challenge when the right people got involved, all went very, very well. The LG QNED was recommended by Luke, at the Dover, DE / Best Buy. It was a great recommendation. The picture is exceptional and ease of use...a delight. This replaced a 2013 LG Smart TV whose speakers just "went". The update is almost as good as our OLED in the living room.

Very nice, clear picture. Took a bit of time to learn the WebOS. Good sound w/o soundbar. Used Phonak TV Connect to add sound to my hearing aids and the TV speakers. Older DVDs can have a strange, but acceptable sound pattern, and I think the hearing aids accentuate the strange pattern.

Tried one of the $399ish sets, it was washed out and didn't look good. Returned it and got this for more $$. Overall a nice TV (Got it on closeout for a decent sale price). Lesser current technologies do not display High Dynamic Range (HDR) very well. (Check out Consumer Reports). While this is far from top tier, its a nice lower, middle range picture, Just my opinion but i think most people would be satisfied with this set.

Disappointed in LG Quality – Avoid Without Extende

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased the LG 50QNED80UQA from Best Buy in March 2023, and it has been nothing but a headache. Just four months later, in July 2023, the entire screen had to be replaced due to major issues. Fast forward to November 2024, and the screen has failed again. This time, it’s showing the dreaded vertical lines that many have complained about on YouTube. For a $600 TV, I expected much better quality from LG. A TV should last years, not mere months. Clearly, this model has serious manufacturing or design flaws, and LG’s reputation for reliability has taken a big hit in my book. If you’re considering buying this TV, my advice is simple: don’t—unless you’re prepared to buy an extended warranty. Without that safety net, you’re gambling with your money. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this TV. I wish I had.

Great TV! We decided to move up to a mini-LED after years of Samsung purchases. The picture quality is top notch, so bright and distinct. Sound is excellent, no sound bar needed here. The magic remote took a little getting used to but i think i prefer it over traditional remotes. Best Buy had a great deal on this, as did other big box retailers- about 50% off suggested retail price. Ordred on line and it was ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. This is the first LG TV we have purchased and we couldn’t be more pleased!

The TV is great. Excellent picture quality. Colors are a bit muted but adjustments can be made to help get it close to vibrant. Great upscaling of TV content. The only issue was Best Buy’s condition rating of the TV. The TV was rated as being in excellent condition with all accessories. I found out when I got home that it was missing the remote, and was obviously a store display model, as it had over 700 viewing hours on the unit. I’m ok with a used TV, but the price didn’t fit with the condition, based on Best Buy’s rating system. Customer service was not helpful in trying to resolve the issue. Luckily I have another LG tv so I could set up the TV initially (the remote is required to start setup), but I had to buy another remote that matched this model.
