Best picture quality I have ever seen on a TV. I love the LG smart remote! It’s very easy an intuitive to use! I would recommend this LG 55” OLED TV to anyone who is looking for the absolute top of the line in picture quality!

I'm very critical when it comes to image quality. Having been a film photographer and had my own color darkroom, it bothers me when the color is a bit off or contrast range is limited. That said, I have to say that the picture of the LG OLED TV is remakable. The contrast range and color fidelity (after calibration) is just right. Even subtle shading, such as a man wearing a black tuxedo and tie, is captured near perfectly. I'm impressed. The OLED panel does it in a natural looking way, without weird looking artifacts or flickering. I'm very happy with it. My only reget is not getting a larger screen.

LG OLED is the best of the best in terms of picture quality. The black levels and color punch with HDR are just breathtaking. You get far better picture quality that in the theater, albeit much smaller!

I was looking to upgrade my TV. After visiting BEST BUY, I discovered the LG OLED B9 series was the one for me! Viewing THE CRYSTAL CLEAR PICTURE, and seeing the demonstration of the SMART REMOTE, I had to have it!

    remote sucks

TV has a great picture, probably worth the money and lousy user interface. The "magic" remote is not a smart remote. It magically works when it wants to. Here are the cons: It "magically" puts a pointer on your TV when its in the mood. The pointer changes how you have to hold the remote to position the pointer. It can always be reset by bouncing it against the screen border but you still end up holding the remote between your legs around your back to get to somewhere on the screen. When the screen is paused it can restart just because you move the remote. This "magically" comes and goes. It can be very aggravating having the screen begin just because you moved the remote, while talking to your doctors office on the phone. If only there was a way to disable the pointer it would make the remote a little less aggravating. There is none. The remote is supposed to control other devices like a DVD player. Never used the feature because there is no eject button. No eject means no dvd. By the time I dig out the original remote to eject the dvd drawer, I just keep using the original remote. Other problems with the remote are too numerous to list here. The engineers were on some bad drugs when they designed this thing. TV interface is also confusing but manageable after some practice. Grandma will never figure it out.

Our TV went out during the quarantine and order this for home delivery. Delivery speed and process was great, got the TV up by myself on the mount. Great picture quality and ease of set up.

Screen of death in less than 24 hours

Screen of death in less than 24 hours. Had this delivered and professionally installed/ mounted by the Geek Squad on Friday of last week, Saturday morning I get a flashing light white screen. I had a Geek Squad appointment already to slide the tv over, so while the Geek Squad guys are here the flashing white screen starts back up. There wasn’t even a hint of them offering to try to fix it!! They turned the tv off powered it back on and it started up correctly. Sunday night it happened again, and then again a few minutes ago! I’m told I have to wait for them to try to fix it first before they replace it with a new one!! I’m NOT HAPPY WITH THIS AT ALL, I’D HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF BUYING IT AT SAMs AND SAVED MYSELF A LOT OF MONEY ON THE INSTALL AND GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION1 PLAN!! Oh and to boot I had to figure out on my own how to get the Apple Play 2 app myself because the tech had no idea how to get it to work! So why did I pay ALL OF THAT MONEY FOR THE GEEK SQUAD?

Great Tv for a competitive price. Best picture I have ever seen. Don’t pay for more than what is required for an Oled panel. B9 is just fine and future proof for the next few years at least.

This television is thin. Sound comes out of the back so sound is muffled. It is a smart TV, when I connected it to internet, I though nothing of it, but since that day I have been receiving over 80 pieces of spam a day on my email. I can't get it to stop. Every thing on this set required many steps. It is very different than my old samsung. Every channel on the television has a different volume. There was not much of a manual with it and when I checked on line it was only what was in the manual I received with television. It is a real learning experience. Keeps wanting me to activate apps. I am not paying for any apps. Has a good picture, overall it is a good television.

I'm a Samsung guy, so this was a tough decision for me but I'm happy with the purchase so far. Unlike a lot of reviews, I do actually like the remote functions outside of it's slightly awkward feel in your hand and the LG apps leave a lot to be desired. Picture quality is great, but if you want the bright colors that you see in-store, you need to set it to vivid. Not great for the energy conscious and hoping it won't decrease the life of the TV. Also, be extra careful handling TV when mounting it or moving it in general. It's extremely thin & without a bezel so try to lift it by the base and I recommend mechanic gloves to maintain grip and not to leave finger prints!

Really must be seen in a dark room to believe. It's spectacular and makes you wonder how you ever watched movies without oled before. Also the built-in sound supports atmos audio, and you can really notice, though the bass is a bit low and i'm looking to now add a sub to the setup, but it seems you don't really need a dedicated soundbar. Supports G-sync at 4k 130hz, though there is no graphics card that could output that yet. with four hdmi 2.1 ports its pretty much future proof. Really your decision should be this or the C9. I choose to save a bit and I do not regret it. I really recommend this TV, as others have said, once you go Oled you don't go back.

Originally purchased for main living room (bright room, wide spaces). TV performed perfectly. Colors were vibrant and great to see both night and day. Sound was amazing without our sound bar. TV had function to acoustically map our room which made a huge difference once completed. After a move, the TV is now our master bedroom TV. Still great even though in darker setting. Picture settings work perfectly depending on app or ambient light. Price was a little high given we recently purchased a larger Sony X959 (not OLED) at lesser price but retained same viewing quality. Have yet to see any glaring differences between the two. Would definitely buy again!
