Great TV ruined by annoying software

I won’t ever buy another LG product where they have anything to do with the software though. The home screen UI is ridiculous. Half the screen is dedicated to a random picture, and 2/3rds of what’s left is LG ads, leaving a narrow row at the bottom for the apps you actually use. Every couple weeks or so the thing interrupts a movie to make me review updated terms and conditions. Today it added this Alexa app I absolutely do not want or care about. 4 times I exited out of it only for it to pop up again and gradually load. No option to “never bother me about this again” just “remind me later” The App Store is pretty limited compared to my Samsung TV and the apps available are generally buggy. I end up using the Xbox instead of the TV interface for everything because of the ads and generally terrible UI. Get a literally any other brand if you want a smart TV.

Not enough detailed instruction. Had to look on YouTube to put the stand on. The majic remote sucks. You cant see the buttons in a dark room. No instuctiin on how to use it. Complicated with multifunction keys. A non tech person would not be able to use it without help.
