Less than 8 months after purchasing this Television it won’t even turn on. LED on the front is still lit up, power cycling didn’t do anything. Always plugged into a quality surge protector. I’ve never had a TV fail in my entire life. The quality was there when the television did work, but now it’s an expensive paperweight. No TV that’s well taken care of and plugged into a good stable source for electricity should fail, not even after a few years of constant use. Temperature is low in the house so it definitely didn’t overheat. LG only has 1 year warranty, which is a major red flag. I would rather replace this with something more reliable than have it “fixed”. I should have spent the extra few hundred dollars for the Sony equivalent, I bet it wouldn’t have failed.

Technically, this is a fine TV but buyer beware. I considered LG two years ago and it had limitations in regard to installing streaming services that are not already there. I made that concern known to the BestBuy sales staff. As a long time supporter of public television my purchase decision was once again contingent on the need for the PBS Video app. The sales people assured me that it could be downloaded and installed after the TV was connected and an LG customer account set up. I bought the TV and had BestBuy install it. That claim turns out to be wrong. After contacting LG service and opening a problem report with them, I was informed in very clear language that PBS Video (and that means the WETA passport) is not supported without also tying up a phone/tablet/computer and an additional input. That is not what an "internet TV platform" is about. The installers were very helpful in arranging to take the set back and install an OLED tv from a different manufacturer which did support the PBS Video app. On top of the insult over PBS Video, LG had the audacity to send me an email requesting a review, to which I attempted to reply by creating this review and submitting it. Their review process balked at accepting my review because they have an issue with the ad blocker software in my browser (even after I disabled it for their site). This is why I am posting my review.

I purchased OLED and love the picture But the LG webOS stinks I also have a Sony OLED which has Android. This OS is much better and allows more apps... LG is not adding a variety of apps.

Good, but not as good as I expected when replacing best non-OLED LG TV.

I purchased my LG C1 55 inch about a month ago for my office. Picture quality is great but I have major issues with the inputs auto switching to my PS5 or other inputs even if nothing is connected. I have scoured the internet for a fix with no luck. Changed a number of settings within the television itself and still continues to reset in the middle of programs and movies. I really wanted to love this product as I am a huge movie watcher but its incredibly frustrating to have a brand new television not work as intended out of the box after spending $1400+ Attempting to unplug and even hard resetting the television did not work at all either.
