Game changer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a Samsgun KS8000 and this tv just blows it away. From deep blacks and bright whites, the picture just looks amazing. I bought this tv mostly for gaming and it doesn't disappoint. So many gaming options in game mode and HDMI 2.1 in each port. Great TV overall!

New level of detail
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been debating between this, a Sony A80J, and Samsung QN90A. And finally had it down to LG and Sony after seeing some less stellar light handling on the Samsung. Ultimately the future ready state of all port with HDMI 2.1 won me over. To me, picture in both of the OLED TVs were very similar otherwise with the Sony only slightly better sound wise. The picture on this tv is spectacular and having already owned a higher end Samsung 4K, the picture is so much more real and crisp on this OLED. As for any concern with image retention, so far so good with several hours of static image on any given day. I have kept the built in mechanisms to reduce chances of image retention on as well. Always subject to updates in a review later. But so far, loving this TV.

2 year review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 years in now and this TV has been one of the best tech purchases in my life. There is 100% a difference between this and QLED and LED TVs. This blows them all out of the water. My 70 year old father even gasped at the difference between this and my other “4K” TV and used to be on the “there’s no difference worth the price jump” team. Zero issues, doesn’t get that hot and the quality is what to expect from LG. Accidentally pulled my vacuum cord and the vacuum hit the TV causing no damage other than my heart dropping out of my body. Durable and still looks like I bought it yesterday. ~1k hours logged total

Great TV, great picture, get rid of LG channels.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is excellent, though in my opinion, it is a bit too dark "out of the box". It took some experimentation with the settings to adjust the picture to my tastes. This TV works best when it is the control center, rather than my AV receiver. I had to play around with my configuration in order to get a setup that is "clean" and easy to use. I ended up plugging my Roku, DVR Cable Box, and Blue-Ray player into the TV, and running an Optical Cable to my AV receiver. In this configuration, I can use the LG remote to control everything except the DVR Cable Box. I can change cable stations and adjust the volume, but I do not have any DVR control with the LG remote. For some strange reason, I cannot use the Roku or Cable DVR remote to control the sound volume of my AV receiver, I have to use the LG remote. I can see the TV responding to my Roku/Cable DVR sound volume adjustment, but it does not get passed to my AV receiver. Maybe this is a bug that will be corrected by a future update. I wish I could turn of Web OS completely. Too often, I have pressed the wrong button on the remote while adjusting the sound volume and have gotten a stupid voice prompt asking if it can suggest something for me. I have no use for the LG channels - They were pretty neat at first, but I would rather do without them. I would rather use my Roku for streaming content. My wife is afraid to use the LG remote, as she is very non-technical and is afraid that she might press the wrong button.

Great offering at the right price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my eye on this model for a while, and I’m glad I finally picked one up. The image is crisp and clear, and the 120hz refresh rate is great with supported content. Using it for gaming consoles and movies alike, I couldn’t ask for a better panel for the price.

After almost a year this thing still blows me away with the picture quality. Gaming is awesome, movies are awesome. Not a huge fan of the menu with all the recommendations that I can’t turn off.

Exceptional.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely fantastic TV in every regard. I work in TV and these off the shelf TV's are used by Technicolour in their professional grading suites for when TV programmes go through their final colour grading. They are that good they can match the performance of a monitor x10 times the price. This TV normally sells for $1500 and its worth it, anything less than that is icing on the cake. The new C1 has filmaker mode which automatically displays a programme as the director/post production company intended. That means each prog can have a slightly different display based on the content.

Highest picture quality at a reasonable price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love the picture quality of this LG OLED TV. I've been watching the OLED technology since it's inception and was finally able to find one that was big enough that we could afford. We decided that 55" was big enough and upgraded to the C1 over the A1. Quite honestly, we stretched our budget quite a bit, but after using it for a few weeks, we have no regrets. We installed it ourselves and had it up and running in no time with our Directv. We used consumer reports suggested settings which BTW had this set towards the top of their list. This is our first Smart TV so all the choices were a little over whelming. We highly recommend and would by it again.

Incredible OLED TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the C1 from a Vizio 4K D50 and the difference is stunning. My wife usually rolls her eyes at any kind of technology purchase, but I heard a very enthusiastic “whoa” when I played a recent nature documentary in Dolby Vision. I exclusively use an Apple TV for content, so I can’t comment on WebOS or the built-in apps. The color and contrast is beautiful. The image is sharp at almost any angle, which surprised me. The TV fully wakes up from sleep in about 6 seconds, which is great to me. CEC control with my Apple TV and Vizio soundbar has been flawless. The physical design of the TV is great, too. The only issue I’ve had was one screw hole in the metal stand wasn’t tapped long enough so I had to shorten the screw a bit. I’ve read other reviews mentioning this. But once you get it assembled, you shouldn’t need to worry about it again.

She pretty
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding picture and use ability. The GUI doesn’t feel Overly intrusive with advertisements compared to other brands. LG for life My only compliant is the remote. For 1300 dollars a backlit panel or at least glow in the dark would have been nice

Pretty good so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality and sound is very good even though I don't have cable. Just an antenna and a roku box. The hand control could be improved. The volume adjust is hard to see. Also the option process for selecting a source is not user friendly. Has to be selected in the right sequence. One time i could not get out of the LG channels and missed a tv show i was looking forward to. But overall pleased with the product.

55 inches of Dolby Deliciousness
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Samsung qled tv had standard HDR and looked fine. Dolby Vision coupled with oled infinite contrast is truest breathtaking at moments. Very happy with Earc support. Makes my Sonos arc so much better especially with Atmos.
