Best all around OLED out there.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful hardware marred by lackluster software. Menus are a pain to navigate and even after all eco settings are disabled there are more hidden settings that need to be messed with in order to prevent the TV from auto-dimming over time which cripples HDR performance. You need to purchase a service remote separately to be able to get to these hidden menus in order to correct this. It is also somewhat difficult to set up the TV for more casual night time watching in bed where HDR is not as important as not getting woken up by extremely bright scenes that may popup before sleep timer has shut down the unit for the night. Despite these shortcomings the TV is an incredible piece of technology and the best bang for the buck. Sony may have an edge on overall picture quality but the difference in pricing combined with variable refresh features this display offers (GSync) make this unit for more versatile and economical. One last note, the sound quality is incredible - I am using the TV with the included stand which reflects the down-firing speakers forward towards the viewer, and I am completely surprised by how full and balanced the sound is, there is a full range of bass, mids, and highs that I haven't heard even on some mid-range sound bars. Nothing beats a home theater system of course but my point is that it's extremely capable as a standalone unit in a bedroom.

I wish I had bought this before!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first OLED TV and I am amazed at how bright and vivid the colors are. If something is supposed to be black, it is really black, not the slight shade of grey I had on my older LED TV. The 'Magic Remote' is taking a bit to get used to. Besides acting as most remotes do it also acts as a mouse and can move a pointer around the screen to make selections. I really like the different sound options. There is a mode to emphasis speech which is great for me as I am hard of hearing and this helps a lot. It also has an automatic AI mode where it figures out what the sound is - music, action, speech, etc. and sets the sound appropriately. I usually just leave it on this mode. Definitely would recommend it.

Absolute steal and best television I've ever seen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 stars hands down! I don't want to write a novel right now but if you have seen all of the hype surrounding this technology or if you've already enjoyed OLED in other devices, it's worth it! The user interface is fantastic and easy to use, wonderful picture that is very simple to set up, great base audio from television. It's perfect for gaming including retro gaming! HDMI input sources aspect ratio is freely adjustable so you can get a true 4:3 from a component/av to HDMI adapter. My old TV wouldn't let me adjust HDMI aspect. Game changing right there! Love the remote! I love that I can press the microphone button and say "screen off" when static images are present and it goes black instantly. No fuss. Zero burn in! Also great for low candle light with music. Brightness is absolutely fine! I seriously don't understand people's fascination with wanting to be blinded like insects to the blue light. It doesn't need to be Samsung solar eclipse corona bright. I can't stand the Samsung image that's always off hard in any particular RGB direction and oversaturated, muddy, inaccurate, crushed blacks and overblown white... Bleh! Sad that Samsung became what they did in my opinion when there were companies like Panasonic, Hitachi, Pioneer and more that I felt handled image quality much better. Now new OLEDs are going to try using a blue light OLED with QD quantum dot layer to allow shifting into reds and greens. Honestly WRGB seems imo it will still be a better tech overall. Straight blue light and quantum dot doesn't seem good for eyes at all! Defeats the purpose of individual pixel control imo! Watch the black parts of images be off on the new ones coming... Bravo LG! I know there's been issues with VRR and hdcp which were pretty major but LG fixed them quickly. Other than that, just marvelous and at the $1000 I paid for an "open box" with 0 use hours on it, not too shabby! Side note: I initially purchased Sony A9S but lack of HDMI 2.1 and 48" size had me unsatisfied. I was honestly sad to return that one but Sony should have done a better job adding in gaming features ya know, being PlayStation and all!

Stunning picture but be cautious with light
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG C1 is a magnificent TV. I have truly never seen a picture with so much depth and detail. You will see details on this screen that you’ve never seen before in programs that you’ve watched countless of times. This TV can turn off pixels completely for dark scenes and objects, if you’ve never had an OLED before you’ve never seen anything like this. For gamers, this is the best gaming TV there is. 4 HDMI 2.1 ports so that you can take advantage of all the features of the Xbox Series X/S and the PS5 or a high end PC. 120fps games look and play incredible, and the game mode gives you a slew of additional customization options. This is the perfect TV for gamers and will be relevant the entire decade. Cautions: If you plan on putting this TV in a very bright room, this may not be the TV for you. While it can get bright when playing HDR and Dolby Vision content and games, SDR isn’t nearly as bright but there are settings you can use to offset this. As long as your TV location doesn’t get direct sunlight on the screen (direct sunlight can eventually damage a OLED screen) you should be able to make it work. I highly recommend keeping your shades or curtains closed if you can though. If you have a bright QLED then this may be a tough transition and you may not like it. Picture Recommendations: Brightroom SDR - Use the Brightroom preset and adjust as needed. HDR and Dolby Vision - Use Cinema Home preset. For games use standard Game Optimizer. Summary: The C1 is a stunning TV that is perfect for gamers and provides incredible picture detail and contrast that cannot be matched by LED/QLEDs. It’s not great for every setting though so if you have a very bright room this may not be the best option for you. If you can control the light in your TV room, then this the best TV you can buy right now. Especially with the discount it’s now at.

The TV Is Awesome
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start by saying I'm not paid or promoted to say any of this I'm just a regular customer. This TV is just WOW. The picture quality is top-notch in for me in my well-lit living room it gets bright enough. I love the new WebOS. I do like the game mode even though I wish it displayed information like FPS input lag and stuff like that like a Game Bar. But it has everything you need and having all 4 HDMI ports at 2.1 you don't get no better for the price. The only thing I don't like is the lack of certain apps like HBO Max and stuff like that. Which I don't understand why neither company has pursued heavily getting apps like HBO Max on one of the world's best OLED TVs. I got a 55 but it is going back for the 65 C1.. but I give this TV at 5 out of 5 stars because a picture quality features ease-of-use and build quality are top-notch

Very Nice Basic OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a great picture and incredibly vivid colors, as expected of an OLED device. As advertised, the viewing angle is much better than the 1080 LED TV it replaced, which is nice because the room it's in is wide so people can be at several different angles. The remote is a little overcomplex (every manufacturer doesn't need their own stupid icons) but the TV's OS works well. Physically, I was petrified the whole time we were unpacking and installing it that I'd tweak the top, which is very thin and has no reinforcement or stiffening. Also, putting the stand together and mounting the TV on it was more work than it needed to be. I wish it had the leg-type stand other TV's in this class often have but given what it costs and how fragile it looks, maybe a heavier stand wasn't such a bad idea. On sale, a very nice value for the money, and a welcome upgrade if you have an older LED TV and want a brighter, sharper, more vivid picture.

Amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv has been amazing. It is definitely worth the price. Gaming has been great on both Series X and PS5. The picture quality is outstanding and the onboard sound is very good too. Very happy with my purchase. I returned a Samsung Q80A and picked up the OLED when it went on sale. The Samsung was okay but the contrast felt dull and this picture blows that away. Was a hard decision between this and the Q90A. I was afraid this wouldn’t be bright enough but the HDR looks great and brightness has not been an issue. I would highly recommend it.

LG OLED TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is excellent with great contrast and crystal clarity. This screen is so thin but still seems quite solid and the stand is really stable. The Magic Remote is very impressive and after a little getting used to the pointer it is quite easy to use. Very easy to setup out of the box. The WebOS that comes with this tv is very good and so much better that my previous Samsung tv. Highly satisfied with this LG OLED TV and really glad I chose this over the NEO QLED I compared it to.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the LG c1 is used as a combo tv/monitor for a high end gaming rig and a PS5. Quite frankly it's the best I've ever had the pleaseure to use . Colors are vibrant and lifelike without any tweeking on my part and gaming is seamless. Simply a great tv. Was only gpoing to use a 48 incher for this but the 55 nwas on sale so...whatrt the heck. Glad I did. Simply awesome purchase. Plan to add a sound bar but really the sound is pretty good as is, just would like a little more bottom and surround.

A must have for PS5 and XSX owners.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence about getting an oled and after a bunch of researching and reading other reviews, I decided to go for it. Man am I happy I did. Coming from a Sony Bravia this blows it out of the water. Playing the series x on this is amazing. The colors pop and the blacks are perfect as expected. Playing in 120 FPS mode is a game changer. The TV knows you're on a console and automatically puts itself into game optimizer mode giving you almost no input lag and an instant response time making competitive shooters feel amazing. If you have an XSX or PS5 and are thinking about it, just do it. Don’t let the fear of burn in keep you away!

First OLED TV, love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the LG C1 55 inch TV for my bedroom. It’s generally dark in my room with the black out curtains. The brightness of this TV is perfect for my dark bedroom. The contrast is insane. I have a few concerns with this TV and those are the glare from the screen coming from my standing lamp. It’s not so bad that it ruins the watching experience, but it is a bit annoying. Secondly, turning the brightness down on the TV causes an unnatural skin tone effect, but it’s nothing that couldn’t be tweaked a little in the TV’s picture settings. The TV settings are a bit confusing at first. I definitely think they could be organized better. The picture quality is unlike anything I’ve seen before! OLED TV’s have a gorgeous display, that much is certain. The TV is rail thin, FYI. I was prepared to lay the TV still in the box flat in my car to bring it home from the store, but I was informed by the Best Buy employee that laying this TV down flat runs the risk of shattering/cracking the TV screen and he made it a point to inform me that Best Buy wouldn’t return or exchange the TV is that were to occur. According to the Best Buy employee, it runs the risk of breaking the screen because the whole TV isn’t rail thin, just the top half. This causes the TV to unevenly distribute its weight when laying flat. After a bit of a setback, a family member let me use their SUV to pick the TV up. The point is, be especially careful transporting this TV from point A to point B because the screen is rail thin like I mentioned earlier and I can guarantee you’d lose your mind upon opening the box to discover a shattered or broken TV screen. I haven’t read any reviews anywhere that this has actually happened to anyone who bought this TV, but just a word of caution here. Otherwise, this TV is amazing!

Awesome TV for Sports, DVD, BluRay, 4K, and Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome color, depth, sound and options on this TV. Easy hook up and operating system. Remote control is easy to use and it's very smooth with the (magic remote) option. Any gamers out, this is a great TV for you. Refresh rate is fantastic and back to the colors and depth, they're great. Even on older video game systems.

Worthy investment for the longhaul
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, this TV was very easy to set up. It detected my devices pretty much automatically (xbox, pc, ps4, cable set-top box). The blacks are very black, and the colors are brilliant. Because my living room is somewhat dimly lit most of the time, I had to turn down the screen brightness quite a bit, and fiddled with the gamma settings until it was just right for me. Interestingly enough, in order to make it scale correctly for the PC, you have to edit the inputs and change the icon for the input with the PC to the PC icon to really let the tv know this is a computer. Having a built-in Alexa is great as I can use it to turn on and off my Philips Hue lights remotely. It does have the major streaming apps like: Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, youtube and youtube tv. It even has Apple TV but unfortunately it's only for content purchased through Apple... it's not like the seperate Apple TV device that comes with a bunch of apps within it. Which brings me to what was missing... no crunchyroll, no spectrum app (to watch live tv through your spectrum cable service). I love the smart remote that lets me wave around my remote to conteol a mouse cursor on the tv; makes typing and switching options so much quicker. I am sad to see it doesnt allow custom or fun looking cursors. I do like that the audio options allows you to have audio putput from both the tv AND whatever you have plugged into the headphone jack simultaneously... so i can have it hooked up to an extra set of speakers for even more sound. Also for those getting this tv, dont forget to peel the plastic sheet that's on the back of the tv or else you might get some overheating issues!

Changed my perception of what displays can offer.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv had been one of the most expensive TVs I have ever bought yet I haven't had a bit of regret. I had heard of oled before and of course the stories of burn in. After thorough research I was quite confident that it would not be a problem for my average tv usage. Once I turned this thing on the colors were full and vibrant and the realization of how dull and washed out lcds are came to me. If you can afford it and spend a bit of time watching tv it's a worthy investment that will change the quality of your viewing experience. I have had it for about 2 years now and have not had a single problem and am still in awe when a movie starts, and it feels like a theatre and the way the blackness seamlessly blends into the room. Sound isn't great but will do the job. typical and understandable or the price wouldn't be nearly as appealing.

My first premium TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tl;dr: Best TV I’ve ever owned; OLED is as good as all the hype. This is the first TV I’ve ever bought myself. My previous displays have all been either given to me or found on the side of a road. The picture quality vastly exceeds anything I’ve had previously. OLED far exceeds anything I’ve seen including my friend’s Mini-LED tv with local dimming enabled. Colors are nice, though I think it would likely be even better if I were to get it calibrated professionally. The remote is very nice; it feels good in the hand. It was a simple process to setup connectivity with my soundbar so that I can control it from the TV remote. Setup for HDMI-CEC with my devices was a breeze as well. WebOS is okay; it’s really busy with ads in the latest version and it tries too hard to be the center of everything. Disabling ads is an option, but it comes at the cost of disabling other functionality such as using tv apps. I prefer the Roku interface from my previous tv.

Menu for Gamers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv to go with my Playstation 5 and it is phenomenal. My bf has the cx version for his PS5 and we game side by side. I originally bought a cx as well until the price dropped on this and it was worth the exchange. The menu is way more gamer friendly to change display settings and so forth. The remote is also slightly different than the cx which makes it easier to tell them apart. Includes additional buttons for streaming services and the mouse is no longer pink. Also the black pixels in games is like super black and makes it look the tv is off in those sections and graphics on games like Ratchet and Clank (the ps5 one) look phenomenal. Keep in mind this tv does not get as bright as other tv's as it is meant for darker rooms, however it is really good on the eyes and has helped reduce my migraines from looking at it. Keep in mind you cant program the remotes to not turn on or off other compatible tvs such as the cx right next to mine so that does cause some issues; however, it is only the power that is affected as it does not alter volume or anything else.

Expensive, but worth it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive, but breathtaking picture quality. Nothing beats true blacks and the intense color realism of this tv. Not to mention it does 4k@120hz with G-Sync! The OS is a bit slow and sloppy but this is the case with most tv OS’s. It does what it’s supposed to, albeit a bit slowly at times. It is however constantly updated on what seems to be a weekly basis.

The best kinda..budget OLED on the market!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now since the C2 is out in the market, you might have to see whether it's worth paying the extra price for the Evo panel with additional brightness. But if this goes on sale at all it is a MUST buy. You get a 120hz screen, the pitch blacks and a fairly bright screen. I would not recommend putting this in a room that is extremely bright, but it is FANTASTIC in a bright setting. I am an extremely picky person but I will say this is the best TV I have ever bought. Avoid getting the AI if you can and splurge for this because the AI is TOOO dim and doesn't give you the 120hz capability which can be used with next gen consoles.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So glad the bb employee convinced me to get this over the Samsung QLED TV. 2 years in and besides the panel needing to be replaced 2 months in (no deduction bc LG service tech got out ASAP and replaced due it being a manufacturer issue), nothing but great things to say. Picture quality is amazing. Get that extended warranty Just in case of the feared burn in. From my understanding, issue is very rare in comparison to og plasma tv's. If this OLED is slightly above your budget (+$200 or less), I'd say it's a rare exception to not sticking to your planned budget.
