Better than the C3!

I currently have a C3 65” in my family room and got the C4 42” for office. I previously had a C2 42” for my office before switching to Ultrawide miniled monitor. The brightness and colors of the C4 is a noticeable improvement over the C3/C2. The Peak Brightness setting in the menu makes the screen very bright, and it feels like its hitting at least 850-875 nits (havent tested it). The color saturation is better and the HDR highlights hold a bit more brightness at the peak. There is still some minor dimming in the small windows, but not as bad as it is on the C3/C2. Also, the full screen brightness is definitely brighter than previous models; feels like its holding around 300 nits at least. Peak Brightness setting plus Dynamic Tone Mapping both set to on makes for a very bright image. I’m happy with the upgrade!

Very happy with my new LG OLED TV. It replaced a nearly 10 year old Samsung LED and the difference in picture is really amazing. The picture is excellent. The set up was pretty easy and it works perfectly with my Apple TV and my external Home Theater system. There are a bunch of LG apps and things I don't need but they are easy to delete or ignore. The TV I looks very nice. Almost no visible bezel and nothing shiny or distracting around the screen. This is not the latest model in LG OLED series, but it is a very good TV and you can save a lot of money by getting this one instead of the newer models.

As my title says. In the past month I've purchased a G9 OLED 49" G95SC; 55" QN90C; and finally, this LG C4 55".
I use this primarily as my PC's monitor and I'm comfortable with the size. Once all settings, with HDR and Game mode were set, this is close to the beauty of the G95SC.
Games actually pop throughout the play. Really nice at 144Hz (I have a 4070Ti) and really vibrant colors. I've adjusted to the brightness and gorgeous blacks and still say "wow".
Although I primarily use headphones, I did attach some desktop Bose speakers and they sound fantastic. My PC never made those speakers sound as good. There are plenty of apps and all the important ones.
My complaint is the LG menu. It is absolutely slow garbage. I have a 80386 that's faster. I don't see any reason why the menu is slow, since this has the a9 processor. The GUI is OK (once it loads) and has good granularity.

First time owning an OLED Tv and man I could not be more impressed. LG TV’s have really grown on me in the past few years. I used to really only go for Sony, but man they have competition. This model has great colors along with customization features to get the picture just how you like it. I mainly watch sports and play video games, so the 120 HZ refresh rate really comes in clutch. If you’re looking for a 4k tv to use for your Series X or Ps5, I definitely recommend this model.

I own a 77” Sony oled from 2yrs ago. Lg has come a long way and if I’m being honest it’s almost as good as Sony. The screen gets way brighter than my Sony but my picture on the Sony is slightly better. Especially with cable tv content or Kodi content. Using Netflix or anything with Dolby both TVs are pretty similar but the LG blows away the Sony with speculation highlights. All in all great tv.

Coming off of a Samsung QN90A, this OLED is excellent for the price. The installation was easy, and the TV set up was easy as well. This TV is a fantastic model for people who want a future-proof OLED without breaking the bank. It works well with all the streaming service and gaming (like I do on PS5) is fantastic. Accurate colors, perfect blacks and it even got an update which seems to have made the game optimizer mode brighter again.
If you are wanting to finally get on the OLED train without spending too much, the LG C4 is the way to go

Amazing Picture Quality and Immersive Experience

The LG 55" Class C4 Series OLED evo 4K TV is nothing short of impressive. Its OLED evo technology delivers vibrant, true-to-life colors and deep blacks that make watching movies or playing games an immersive experience. The 4K resolution is razor-sharp, and the clarity is noticeable, even with fast-moving content like sports or action scenes.
One of the standout features is the incredible contrast ratio. The picture quality feels almost three-dimensional, especially in darker scenes, where details are typically lost on LED TVs. The HDR support enhances brightness and color accuracy, making everything look incredibly realistic.
The built-in AI processor optimizes content and improves overall performance, ensuring smooth operation whether you're streaming, gaming, or watching live TV. WebOS is intuitive and user-friendly, giving you access to all the major streaming apps without any hassle. The Magic Remote is a nice touch, offering point-and-click navigation as well as voice commands for convenience.
For gamers, the low input lag and support for features like NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync make it an excellent choice. Paired with a next-gen console, this TV truly shines, offering fluid gameplay with stunning visuals.
The design is sleek and minimalistic, fitting seamlessly into any room. It’s incredibly thin and lightweight for its size, making wall mounting easy.
The only downside might be the price—it’s a premium product, and you’re paying for the quality. However, if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line TV with exceptional performance, the LG C4 OLED evo 4K is worth every penny.
Pros:
Stunning OLED evo display with perfect blacks
Excellent 4K resolution and HDR support
Smooth performance with WebOS
Great for gaming with low input lag and VRR
Sleek, modern design
Cons:
Premium price tag
Reflections can be noticeable in brightly lit rooms
Overall, this TV is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment experience. Highly recommended!

Exchange a Samsung S90D for the LG C4 as the Samsung started turning off on me randomly out of the blue one week into owning it. Anyway my review on this tv first off im no stranger to LG oleds ive had them since the c1 and tbh i should have just have just got this tv in the first place instead of the s90D better build quality better picture quality the C4 does a wsy better job at upscaling sdr content than the s90D did sure the S90D had qd tech but imo i still think the C4,s picture is more vibrant and colorful plus its more true than the S90D,s.

LG C4 2024 OLED TV: A Dazzling Display

If you're coming from an older non-OLED TV or even an older OLED (C2, C1, CX), the LG C4 represents a significant leap in picture quality and features. For C3 owners, the decision is a bit more nuanced. The C4 offers a brighter HDR picture, improved processing, and the jump to 144Hz for PC gaming. If these incremental improvements are crucial to your viewing and gaming habits, and you're willing to pay the premium, the C4 is undoubtedly a superior television. However, the C3 remains an excellent TV at a potentially lower price point, offering much of the same core OLED performance.
Pros:
Stunning OLED Picture Quality: Perfect blacks, infinite contrast, vibrant colors.
Enhanced Brightness: Brighter HDR highlights thanks to Brightness Booster Max.
Exceptional Gaming Features: 144Hz refresh rate, 0.1ms response time, 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, G-Sync, FreeSync Premium, VRR, ALLM.
Advanced AI Processor: Improved upscaling and image processing with the α9 AI Processor 4K Gen7.
Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode: Ensures content is viewed as intended.
Feature-Rich webOS 24: Intuitive smart platform with wide app support.

This TV is amazing! I upgraded from a NANOCELL 75 series and woah! You can definitely tell the difference in terms of quality. I’ve been having it for about a year now and have yet to run into problems. It was either this or the Bravia but I’m an advocate for LG products. I bought it mostly for its gaming capabilities and works smooth!

Exceptional quality and features. This has 4 2.1 hdmi inputs, 4k @120hz up to 144hz. Great oled black levels and, I find, really good brightness. The tv speakers are adequate. A lot of gaming features, low input lag, high refresh rates, vrr and freesync too.

Easy setup, excellent 120/144 hz video, several HDMI inputs incl ARC for soundbar and external speakers, Bluetooth, Wifi, and remote control. Remote is a weakness, it is not lighted. It works well enough but the channel and volume buttons are somewhat recessed and are hard to work in a dark room. Dolby Vision is awesome as is Dolby Atmos. The black background is great and i had to turn brightness up to full before i was satisfied with it. Handles motion great also. The TV speakers by themselves are just okay but great when couples with LG Soundbar. I got the S70T and it jas great surround sound performance and is excellent balue for price. This 55” is perfect for my smaller living room. Highly recommended pair.

Best tv!?!

By far the best tv I’ve owned. Was coming from a 2016 Samsung and the improvement in quality is amazing. If you’ve only had led in the past I would definitely recommend moving up to a oled, the difference in picture quality is unbelievable. The colors on this tv really pop and are amazing. I shopped around and did research for months before buying a top of the line Hisense led and returning it because of picture quality and lag and other issues in the OS. Some of Samsungs $2000 were equal or better in picture but mostly because of brightness but due to Samsungs poor quality I will never buy another one unless they really do a180 and change for the better. So it ended up being between the Lg C4 or G4 I went with C4 only because of the $900 price difference at the time. The G4 probably has the best picture of any tv I’ve ever seen, it’s a work of art but i just couldn’t make myself pull the trigger to spend that much more money when the C4 is almost as good except it doesn’t reach the brightness levels that the G4 could. I’m not a gamer but this tv seems like it would be great for those who are as well. Speeds, latency, refresh rates are all good as well as a nice OS. If you have the money and want the absolute best or it’s going in an extremely bright room then go with the G4, otherwise I promise you won’t be disappointed in the slightest with the C4… you’ll probably even be ecstatic. This would be my top recommendation for anyone looking for a mid-high end tv, but if u need to know you have the absolute best then get the C4. Sound is good but as with most of these thinner TVs a sound bar is a good investment. Just get it and thank me later!!

First off, kudos to Best Buy for matching price on the television - even after the sell. In a few words…this television is an exceptional upgrade from the 60” 2017 LG UHD (which still functions just fine). The picture and audio quality are incomparable to some of the other big-name televisions. I would recommend this television to anyone who values an extremely clear picture and who is also willing to spend the extra money for a good, quality product. As one of my old friend’s would say, “if you want to play, you’ve got to pay.” Good quality often comes at a higher price.
Now, for the not so good. We are living in the year 2024 and one would think that a mega brand, such as LG (one which makes up 90% of all major appliances in my house) would have, or offer, better software to go with their products. The LG ThinQ app is the absolute worst. The app often loses connection with the televisions and the private audio does not work upon leaving the app (to surf Safari). The app also has quite a few misspellings on it, which initially made me think that I had downloaded some bootleg version of the app.
I also purchased an LG soundbar (7.1.3) to go with one of the LG C4 televisions that I purchased and this too was not user friendly at all. The soundbar has three LED lights behind the mesh screen that blink, or flash, in a particular sequence to supposedly indicate particular settings and outputs for the bar. What I would love to see from LG, a company that I have been loyal to over the years, is better continuity, connectivity, and ease of use among LG’s products.
I believe LG has great products, but should work on the software side of things – which is oh so important in today’s competitive environment. If Apple products were this difficult to use with one another, I would not purchase them…LG should be no different. In the year 2024, there is no reason not to have a user-friendly app to accompany any television, washer, dryer, soundbar, blu-ray player, or any other electronic LG sells. I pay for a premium product, I expect a premium service and software that compliments it and makes it easier to use. LG, please do better.

Picture and sound quality are good. I think I need to mess around with the settings a bit more to get the right brightness level for the room it is in. The only thing I dislike is the remote has a motion control feature that doesn't feel as good to use as just using the manual button inputs for navigating menus.

I absolutely adore this tv! We purchased as an open box deal and I just cannot get over how vivid the picture is. Upgrading to an OLED was absolutely worth the price. Also, the home hub doesn’t lag and updates regularly so everything is quick and seamless. LG has been our favorite TV brand for a long time and I don’t see it changing any time soon! We have it setup in our living room that gets bright during the day sometimes, but the picture is still bright and vivid, which I’m happy about as we were concerned since it’s an OLED.

The LG C4 OLED TV has a great picture and sound is very good. I like how it has a small red light on the front to show when the
TV has been turned off. My Sony OLED (that died before the 3 year mark) didn’t have one so you just had to hope it was really turned off. I am not thrilled with the LG magic remote. To many hidden features, where a button has multiple functions. Plus the volume and channel buttons really need white markings for some contrast. Better yet it could be backlit.
