I was looking at Samsung but was blown away by the picture of the LG SK9000. The upscaling is great after dialing in the parameters like motion control.

I am sure glad I listen to the knowledgeable Sales associate on the different TV quality This LG is Outstanding, I extremely Happy with the choice

I set it up in my basement rec room. it paired with my internet fast and is great viewing since I can control the light in the room

I budgeted myself 1k and did quite a bit of research. I am VERY happy with my decision and am glad that i stayed with an LG product.

I was not sure about an LG TV at first but after comparing it to others and watching it at home we have grown to really enjoy this TV.

It fits perfectly in our entertainment center and looks vary sleek and modern. We opted to purchase this model based on features and cost.

I HATED this tv. I have always preferred a plasma picture so I was already on the fence about this tv. I know it’s apples to oranges picture wise with plasma,OLED and LED. However, we have a fantastic Sony Bravia LED as our main tv- so we thought we would try this since it had such an amazing picture in the store. Also, a good OLED can be pretty pricey so we thought we would avoid that option if at all possible. Problem 1- I was unable to duplicate that same amazing picture at home. I threw in the towel after a week of searching sites trying to get a correct color calibration setting- even the LG site. And yes, I know I can pay $200+ and have it done professionally but I have already been down that road and it was not worth it. Nothing looked good on this tv. No vibrant colors- no WOW..this looks GREAT. Problem 2- I HATE the “ soap opera” effect - which I could not get rid of. I don’t like feeling like I’m part of the film crew when I watch a movie or show. If that’s your thing then this is the tv for you. Also, while watching a cooking show, there was a blurry effect when someone was whisking which is pretty ridiculous- it was whisking. I can only imagine how annoying it would be watching football or a fast action movie scene. After a week of being aggravated and not even wanting to watch the tv, it got boxed up and exchanged for a Sony Bravia X900F- which is AMAZING. Also, the wand remote is annoying and wouldn’t sync up with our cable box so we then needed 2 remotes. I gave 2 stars for the easy set up.

The resolution and quality of the picture is excellent, however the sound quality is poor. I needed to buy a sound bar to compensate for the sound quality.

Very pleased. Not crazy about magic remote. Like being able to use fire sticks without manually changing inputs

For the price quality it’s great. I beat in mind the price range, technology inside, and added bonuses for model.

Was nervous about this being my first big purchase but this is a great tv and i recommend it for anyone.

This TV is great. Works just as advertised. Wish I could change the start up app though to Netflix or Hulu.

First things first, i bought this tv bc I was not happy with my Sony X900F, HDR & Dolby Vision looked washed out and I was not impressed with the local dimming, it has a lot of blooming and the black levels were not good, other than that the X900F is amazing, but I can’t live with washed out black levels on a $1,100 tv. So I did extensive research about many different TVs, I did find that if I don’t use HDR on the Sony and I adjusted some settings that the picture is much much better as far as black levels and minimal blooming but I still felt a little disappointed. I really wanted to go all out and either buy OLED or the Samsung Q8FN but wasn’t ready to spend that kind of money, so going against a lot of negative reviews I gave this LG sk9000 a try and unfortunately the negative reviews were right, the contrast and black levels are terrible on this tv, I set this up next to my Sony X900F and the LG made the Sony look like a million bucks and like I said before I wasn’t even happy with the Sony. So save your money and DONT!! buy this tv. I am very very picky about TVs I buy and expect if I spend above $900 on a tv I shouldn’t be disappointed. I will be spending the extra money and buying the Samsung Q8FN and testing it next to the Sony to see if I can finally find a tv worth the $ and that I can be happy with for a few years.

Great TV. Love the Dolby Vision option especially now with streaming 4K options.

LG has made another great tv. They continue to develop products that are among the best in the field.

Let me first say that my wife and I really like LG. Our last tv was amazing until is died this year. We paid around $1500.00 back in mid 2000. It was a lot of $$ back then, but loved the pic on the display at Best Buy and at home. So off to buy a new LG tv! I did some research and I ignored some of the negative reviews on this tv and scooped this one up on sale. Had the geek squad deliver & set up. Once we started watching this new LG tv we noticed white flashing on the screen during the black scenes. It was the end of October so a lot of scary movies were on tv with dark scenes and it honestly was like someone was behind the tv with a flashlight flashing all around. So annoying as well as the screen was gray not a true black. The picture was blurry as well & not clear at all. Thankfully we found another AMAZING LG for $1600.00 the upgrade was much more than this one, but worth every penny! I would definitely pass on this one if you’re in the market for a new tv.
