    1st 4K TV

I had been debating between this or one of the Samsung's. I took a gamble with this since it is so new to Best Buy, that it didn't have a review yet (at the time). I love this TV. Of all the TVs that I have owned, this one so far is the best. Not just picture quality, but also the sound. I'm also a gamer, and I'm hearing more of the "bells and whistles" that I didn't have with the other ones. The picture quality is awesome, and I never owned a TV that offered Bluetooth. The smart side of the TV has a small but decent selection of apps. You can have Netflix, Hulu, IHeart, etc. with a few other apps, just bear in mind that if you are use to a Roku, you could be slightly disappointed. It does have a decent web browser, if you don't mind using the remote to type. I haven't tried to see if it accepts a Bluetooth keyboard yet. I know there are probably better 4K TVs out there than this one, but for $550, you cannot go wrong. Having said that, if I had to have one con, it's the plastic pedestals that come with it. They are nowhere as good of quality as the TV, but if you are going to mount it, that will no longer be an issue. All in all, for a great, inexpensive 4K TV, you cannot go wrong with this LG model.

Our 9 year old 50” plasma TV needed to go because it was just time to update and get new features like Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, etc. But, buying a new TV these days can be quite a challenge. Yes, we wanted 4K, HDR, UHD but we also wanted all that on a budget. So I went to Best Buy because I needed some input from pros, and I was pleasantly surprised with how they made a daunting task much easier. After deciding on this LG TV, I added delivery and setup to my purchase. Both the TV and the delivery/setup was money well spent. I feel like the sales associate did an excellent job showing all the options we had and the Geek Squad handled delivery and setup on time and with efficiency. The TV itself delivers a stunning picture and the sound is so good we don’t need a sound bar. Because the room this is in leads to fairly wide viewing angles we wanted a TV that could handle that - and this TV delivers, with specific technology that maximizes viewing angle without loss of picture quality. Bottom line ... Best Buy and LG made purchasing a new TV a very pleasant experience and we are very pleased with how well this was handled from start to finish. Thanks for a Great Job!

    Marginal picture quality

This TV has poor picture until you turn off auto-dimming. Still, the colors and flesh tones were not right and off-angle viewing was poor. I spent quite a bit of time adjusting the picture and it was still unsatisfactory so I returned it. In our room off-angle viewing matters. For off-angle viewing, an IPS display is better and this does not have it. Best Buy's specs don't tell if a display is IPS either and they should remedy that. A way to tell is tap the screen with your finger. If it's not IPS you get a disturbance where you tapped. With the help of Robert, the in-store "LG expert", I decided to buy the 49SK8000PUA for considerably more money. (The 55 inch was a little too large for our room.) The picture and overall build quality on that model is MUCH better. Off angle viewing is much better too. (Our plasma was better but it died.) We will keep that model, assuming nothing goes wrong. A complaint with both models is it is very hard to wall mount because the connections are facing back instead of sideways. I can't connect the HDMI on the back and have to use the side. Also the side USB is very hard to get to and it would be hard to add a HDMI from the side temporarily hooked to a laptop. The side connectors should be easier to reach when wall mounted. I also need the component video for my dvd player and had to buy right angle adapters to get the cables to squeeze in. Connectors should allow the plugs to go sideways so wall mounting is easier to connect.

Great TV and WiFi OS. Mounting Feet Stink

The TV itself has a great picture, and the sound is way better than our previous Samsung. It was very easy to hook up but the support feet it sits on are horrible. The TV is unstable and would rock back and forth with the slightest provocation. If you have kids or dogs then mounting it on a wall is a must. Our old Samsung had a stable glass base but this LG has little plastic click on feet that just don't do it. The best buy sales rep that helped us assured us that voice operation was built in to the remote... not so though. Turns out there is a fancier magic remote you must buy for this. The good news is that Alexa works fine with the TV. We had no problem getting Alexa and the LG TV on speaking terms. You can't turn it on with Alexa but they promise that is coming. We can do the following so far with Alexa... TV off; Volume up/down/value/mute; change input; rewind/fast forward/pause/stop; change input. Switching to Netflix / Amazon / cable is really easy. We like that a bunch.

I've owned this TV for almost 6 months now, and it is one of the best I've ever owned. There was some weirdness at first, where it would "forget" how to connect to WiFi if I opened an app before it had connected, and this required turning the TV off and back on to fix. An automatic update two weeks after purchase resolved this problem. The picture is amazing. I can watch SD videos from Google Play Movies, and they appear as though they are in HD thanks to the television's smart upscaling. 4K videos look unbelievably crisp. I have an LG phone, so mobile integration with the TV is super simple. The user interface is clean, but some things seem odd (such as removing apps from the menu vs deleting apps). With two small kids I am actually thankful for the odd workflow for deleting/removing apps. Some people might be annoyed by it. After a few updates, the UI might change anyway... it's WebOS and will change similarly to how phones might change after an update.

Not overly impressed with this TV despite the great reviews. This is my first LG TV as I have preferred both Sony & Samsung brands. Upon initially loading HULU, Netflix and Prime, I was asked to update all apps. This was fine but it is a bit concerning that every update will delete any saved data in these apps. Also, each app takes up space on the TV, which will wont take long to use all of the space up. The 2nd day of owning this TV, I was commanded to update the software in the TV. This update kicked out my network connection so I needed to reconfigure it. The 3rd day I was asked to update the Netflix and Hulu apps again! Further more, this TV is mounted about 20ft from my router. However, the connection is horrible. My shows continuously stop and sometimes won't go back on. I have a Samsung TV mounted about 70 ft from the router and it works just fine. I have purchased a Net Gear WiFi extender, hoping this will be the answer. Lastly, I do not think the 4K picture is all that great compared to my other TV brands. At this point, with the TV mounted and original packaging disposed of, it looks like I am stuck with this TV. But I am pretty sure this will be my 1st and last purchase of an LG TV Brand.

Have had this for a few weeks now. Read complaints about plastic feet — and they are — but has been a complete non factor sitting on our stand. Feet are nearly at the outer edge of the tv which meant we did have to get a new stand because of the width. Was unsure of picture for awhile: some things look so good while others don’t. Football game field views don’t look good but as soon as it switches to a close-up or other shot, it’s amazing. Have to believe it’s the broadcast, not the tv. Roughly 500mb of memory was cut in half immediately by loading Hulu, Netflix and Amazon video apps which appear to be preloaded but are not. Was concerned that any further updates would not have memory and therefore would be unable to watch those apps anymore. Was assured (after writing to the company) that the memory was taken by the initial download of the app and should be fine from there. Updates should take minimal additional. Something I’ll def keep an eye on. If you’re looking to put a lot of apps on the tv, this would be a major concern. All in all, a good tv for a 10x16 living room. In fact, almost too big.

*Extremely easy ordering, delivery, and setup. I've heard people complain about Best Buy for years, but this experience was really 5-star. I've never ordered something as large as a TV for delivery before, and it literally was as easy as ordering a pizza -- Best Buy's text and email notifications were immediate and very easy to understand. The TV is great too -- like another reviewer said, everything looks like a B-movie now because the screen resolution is so good. It automatically recognized my computer and sized the screen correctly, whereas I had to manually adjust the screen with the Samsung I had before this. And I don't know if there actually is a difference, but I also prefer LG's color balance over Samsung's -- much easier on the eyes. The only 'cons': - Because I sit directly across from it and I'm so used to a smaller TV, I kind of feel like the screen size on this one is a portal to another world. I guess I can never watch Black Mirror now! - The 'Black Friday' 'sale' price is still the same a month later. I'd still pay whatever is actually full price, though. Really glad to have bought this.

Ok let me start by saying Black Friday rocks!!! The price for this tv was a steal for $469. This TV have google assistant which I’m looking for in a TV. Mind you I know there are better TV’s out there but they are more expensive. This one fit my needs.it looks great on my living room wall. The down side is this TV does not come with a google assistant remote or should I say magic remote. Which is coming in the mail as I write this review. With the magic remote. Now you can experience the commands of dimming your smart lights or turning up or down the heat from your Nest’s Thermostat all from the magic remote. There are lots more commands I can do I’m sure. But I will learn those things in due time. This should be fun.

You get what you pay for. In the $500 range this TV is pretty good, not great. I replaced an 8 year old Sony Bravia that cost $1,800 originally but unfortunately died. The Sony had a better picture, deeper colors and a realistic picture. The LG is fine. There were some problems with setup. When trying to link my personal YouTube account the YouTube app stopped working entirely and gave me No Internet Connection messages for other apps. I had to reset the TV and go through the entire setup process again including setup of Netflix and Prime. I chose to just use the generic YouTube function and not try to link it to my account as I didn't want to go through setup again. Also the placement of the connections on the back are covered by my wall mount hardware so they are useless to me. Fortunately I only need the inputs that are accessible from the side. In summary it is worth the $500 but not more than that.

Got this home without seeing display in store. Got it over the 6090 which was $60 cheaper because I thought I needed an IPS screen. The picture was alright: Over the air tv antenna was okay; Netflix from my iPhone into anHDMI input worked okay and I played with the different screen modes; You Tube from my iPhone into an HDMI was so so (watched a POV video of someone Mountain biking) with blocky, messy picture at bottom of screen where the picture changes fast). I attempted to open the apps but it prompted me to update every app I tried to open. This is why I just plugged my iPhone into the tv. In my opinion, this tv is okay if you just want a tv. Grey color for black (viewed at night), color is just okay, nothing really popped out as fantastic. Note that this is an entry level tv that has features but does not get you there to appreciate the full 4K experience.

We got this unit when our old screen started to dim. Got this hooked up with no problems. Screen is sharp and looks great! We've had an LG TV for the past several models, and we've always had good good experiences with the brand. My only complaint with the unit, is I wish that the legs stood a little taller. I'm contemplating a sound bar in the near future, and there's only a couple of inches of clearance between my stand and the botom of the TV. I understand that this is a "First World Problem", but wanted to mention it anyway. We are very happy with this unit. We don't use any of the "Smart" features, as we have found that the Roku simply does the job much better, and much easier. I like that it has Google Assistant compatibility, even though we already have it integrated through our Logitech Ultimate Remote system.

I bought this tv about 6 months ago in preparation for football season, and I've been very pleased so far. Disclaimer: I've never had a smart tv or a 4K tv before, so I don't know how the bells and whistles compare to other brands. I love that I don't have to use an Amazon Firestick anymore since the tv has Netflix and Amazon Prime Video apps already built in. I also use the Bluetooth function to sync to my laptop for when I'm working from home. It's like having a giant monitor from the comfort of my couch - incredibly convenient. As others have mentioned, this tv is definitely meant to be mounted because the tiny legs are TERRIBLE. I haven't had any incidents yet, but it is very shaky when it's just sitting on the 2 legs.

LG 55UK6300 has Great, Vibrant picture, 4k looks awesome, saw some reviews about stand, there are 2 screws on each foot to securely tighten and stand is very solid. I didn't get the Magic remote but will ask Bestbuy, I have a sound bar that uses a 3.5 connector which the TV doesn't have but does have Digital Optical cable which is higher quality sound, Regular remote is a bit bulky but once you understand all it's functions it Fine. I have setup my Google Home/Assistant for voice control, "Hey Google, turn volume to 20 on Family TV", works great.Smart Apps all good, easy maneuvering. only wish I could add DirecTV Now, have Roku connected to get that functionality. All in all, I love this TV, best I've ever owned, Madfalcon02

I've been waiting about a decade to upgrade from my former Samsung LCD TV. As ultra HD came out I resisted the urge to upgrade until the price dropped and finally, after a recent move, I made the upgrade. I have NOT been disappointed. The ultraHD on this TV is great. IT really shines when the HDR kicks in on games and movies. I've also been pleasantly surprised by the LG OS. Learning an OS can be a struggle, but this worked fine. My ONLY complaint was that the TV remote wasn't compatible with my Bose Soundbar and, after checking tons of LG blogs, there isn't a workaround. But, I traded it for a (nicer) LG soundbar on FB marketplace and have loved that since I got it.

I bought samsung NU6900 55 "and when I got home and installed, came the first disappointment when I sat on my computer and wanted to watch the TV turned completely white full of terrible fade.I returned 3 days later and switched by LG UK6300 55" and the worst part the seller wanted to sell a super expensive TV saying that all LEDs would have the same problem, but he lied because I'm super happy with LG - 55 "Class - LED - UK6300 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR I recommend it and it has no fade or fog problem when it's on the side. If you have money buy the most expensive, but if you do not have and want a very good TV buy this TV

This television is not like the rest. When you go to the store the picture is always better. In my case when I installed it and turned it on it was mind-blowing. It looks like you are there live. You can actually see actors sweat and see individual beads of sweat. The voice-activated remote is amazing and all preset wireless sites, like Hulu , Amazon, Netflix, and many more, some you need a subscription for. I canceled 3 programs from cable and I am saving $45 dollars a month. BEST TV

I read a good amount of reviews in this and other models in the same range all over the web. I read many positive things about this particular TV, and some negative ones. However, in my experience this TV has proven to be a great budget alternative for a 4K TV. The image is great, Wi-Fi functions perfectly, everything just works as good as I need it to work for me to enjoy the TV. Also, the folks at Best Buy were very helpful when picking a model. I was between this one and the Roku 5-Series. In the end it came down to choosing an LG as my previous TVs have all been LGs and I've had a good experience with all of them.

It does some things really well, and the IPS screen is useful for viewing angles and TV is great with glare. There's a lot to like about the picture and functionality . Should have included Magic Remote. Unfortunately there are better values in this price range, especially bc you'll want to buy a stand (I don't trust the legs) and the upgraded remote to use its full capabilities, but if you don't care about voice control or already own a stand or mount it helps. I wish it would have worked for me, but I just happen to use it most for the things it's weakest at, like blacks and dark scenes. If the IPS screen is better for you this is your best budget TV bet.

The picture is pretty decent, the price was ok, but the features are not what my wife and I was led to believe. We should have bough the other brand of TV we originally looked at. In addition, LG's support is basically non-existent and what they call a manual is basically useless. I have a problem/need to know how to do something, and there's no explanation ANYWHERE in LG documentation how to fix this. I'm one very unhappy customer who now has to spend more money in order to bring this TV up to the features standard my almost 10 year old TV had that this shiny new LG is replacing. No more LG TVs for my family!
