It has exceeded all of my expectations! Still trying all the features, settings, and options. The picture and sound quality are amazing. I am thinking about disconnecting my sound-bar. It has been over 10 years since my last TV purchase. A lot has changed since then. Max at Best Buy helped explain the differences between TVs I was considering. Thank you Max.

I originally purchased the 7 series and after doing further research I quickly found out how much better the 8/9 series was in regards to technology and picture quality. I ended up exchanging the 7 series for the 9 series. Very pleased with the purchase and I would highly recommend the investment in spending the extra few hundred dollars in getting an exceptional TV for the price.

I was very excited about this TV, assuming a top end LED set in the Magnolia category would be far and away above the mid range sets. Unfortunately, while I tried to like this set, I had to return it.
Pros: WebOS interface is slick and very fast/responsive. Apps are quick to load. The remote is very intuitive and feels good in hand, the set is lightweight, and thoughtful attention paid to things like the shape and location of the power cord and HDMI inputs that make close mounting easier. Lots of picture settings.
Cons: Out of the box image quality is not good. Motion smoothing is really strong 'soap opera effect' so turn that off quickly. After using the rtings.com settings, picture quality was good, although still a bit cartoonish on bright primary color images like CNN uses. Blooming from the active backlighting was terrible. Like to the point where it was completely distracting to watch the set in any darkish scenes as there were explosions of greyed out blacks as the backlights lit up in big rectangular blocks across the screen. Netflix 4K/HDR was unwatchable - had to manually set the max bandwith on Netflix account to force a non 4K signal. Watching the set in a darker room at night really exposed the flaws. Anything other than directly in front of the screen (mounted above a fireplace) anything black was a glaring silvery color and backlight bloom intensified. Darker scenes (think Ozark, GOT, ABC dramas, etc) were terrible. May be a result of the IPS technology - it claims great viewing angles, but that seems to only be when you are not above or below straight on viewing. Replaced with an M-series Vizio at 1/3rd less on the list price, and SO much happier. Inkier blacks, more vibrant colors, and a consistent picture.

Quite good for a back-lit LED television. Colors popped and the 4K was very striking. Unhappy with the low count of local dimming zones vs. other UHD sets. Blooming was what I would call "very distracting". Had high hopes for this Nano tech but the LCD filter layer isn't up-to-snuff yet. LG performs poorly with respect to firmware updates too. Upon setting up this TV, a notification popped up bragging about a September firmware update 'coming soon' that would improve performance of the television. September came & went and no update. LG support is useless. Nothing on their servers, nothing on their product website. Returned this set and purchases something else.
LG needs to get it's firmware engineering team straightened out... something serious. Samsung has the same deficiencies.
There's no excuse for such terrible software support on this caliber of television.

The instructions for the base are not clear. Screws were not marked and pictures are too small. Figured it OK
Set up was easy. Wish you could set it up for both cable and Over the Air TV and easily switch, in case cable has a problem.
There is an echo when using both the TV and a soundbar.
Easy to see the picture even from an extreme angle. Nice.

Last year we got an OLED LG TV that I love. I wanted to get a bigger screen tv for my bedroom because my 32” was just too small. This TV was chosen because I didnt want to spend that much on an OLED. Especially with newer technologies on the way. While the blacks just dont match that TV, this is probably one of the best looking LED TVs I have seen in a while.

Love this TV. Stunning Picture is a massive upgrade over my previous 1080p TV. Price was perfect versus the competition. Thin frame lines look like a much more expensive TV. Artistic screen saver mode is a nice touch. Built in Alexa is a cool feature, but unnecessary as I already had a streaming stick.

This is my second LG in the last month. The first was really easy, and had the features I use.
The one is in our family room, and has the Spectrum Cable Box as an HDMI input. With a 5 minute setup.. selecting my area code and cable provider, suddenly the "Magic Remote" handled the TV and the Cable Box.
I'm happy!

I thought my TV was good. This TV is awesome, the qaulity is amazing. The picture looks very cool . The sound is loud and sounds awesome. It's thin and feels sturdy. Has a lot of apps and i love the voice control , my kids love it too. Easy for them to find their videos since they can't fully spell yet.

Bought this to replace an older TV, and I am extremely happy with the TV. Works great and the streaming applications work well. The menus are fast and the picture is great for both 4K and HD images. This is in a brighter room, and the details of the image still come through.

I have had this LG TV for almost a month. Has a beautiful picture. So far I am happy with this purchase. My daughter was able to set everything up for me in a couple of hours, which included, of course the TV, a surround system, Roku and a DVD player. I would recommend this LG TV.

Loving this TV! Afraid it was going to overwhelm the space, but hubby said it would be ok and it is! Really enjoying the clear picture and no lag time either. Were advised we needed to purchase a sound bar, but we are having no problem hearing this TV! We are very pleased with this purchase!

One step down from the QLEDs, this TV has amazing processing and a superior picture. The functionality is much higher than the 8 model and is all I need in a picture. The only challenge I find is with the remote which is too much like a Nintendo Wii when in the point mode and quite jumpy.
