Bad Light Bleed
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure if it was my particular item but the screen had a lot of light bleed. The blooms were extreme and very distracting. Ended up returning and buying the OLED model.

Crackling Speakers
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First new TV I have bought in about 12 years. Did my research and thought I had made the right decision. Was very pleased with this purchase until the speakers started crackling. I can’t believe a $1200 dollar TV has failed in less than 90 days from date of purchase. Called bestbuy and they said 15 day return policy. Called Tech Support wish they had an option for English speaking representative.

Not sure about this one.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is less than 1 year old and is having issues blinking from the picture to black 6-10 times when you turn it on. Dealing with Best Buy for warranty started on "chat" and waited approximately 16 minutes for the correct department and for them to review my order. They have scheduled a in house diagnostic.

Don't Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV itself looks good and is great for gaming, but the user interface and remote control are so horrible that it's not worth it. The interface is not user friendly at all and is super laggy. Also, the remove control is laggy and the button layout makes no sense.

Best Buy's Sales stink
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is fine. Price looked better 2 weeks ago when Best Buy had the retail price $200 higher. The "deal" that I got doesn't look so great now after I was told it would be "much higher in price after the sale". 2 weeks ago I got $300 off a TV that is now retailed $50 more than what I paid. My next TV will be bought elsewhere for sure.

Do not buy this TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV already has shadow and black boxes. Very disappointed this has happened after only 2 months of use. And Bestbuy already says the product is non returnable through their website. I might still take it up there and try to exchange because they sold me a lemon.

Happy with LG
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Samsung fan for years, but after the family bought a new QLED, we just noticed things we did not like as much. So I was looking at Sony and LG and this is a great TV! Sony's were a little more pricey to get the same class of tv, so I chose the LG. I also chose to go for the 90, which is the highest of the nanocell series, hoping it will make it a little more future proof. I have just tinkered with it a few days, but I like the interface. The Wii remote style is nice. All of the different picture modes come in handy and work really well by recognizing content and adapting. I paired this with the SP8YA LG soundbar with Dolby Atmos and the system makes is really easy. Only complaint is the app they suggest using with it is horrible. clunky and doesn't really work, but as far tv goes, well worth what the price point is.

LG offers great gaming performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nano 90 Review This will be primarily a gamers review of the LG 55NANO90UPA. The 2021 Nano 90 is LG’s attempt at making the ultimate next-gen console and PC display. This years model offers 4 HDMI inputs for all of your device needs with HDMI 3 & 4 being full bandwidth 2.1 for 4k/120fps gaming as well as Freesync premium for smooth tear free gaming. For gamers LG includes a game optimizer mode which is a menu of settings that allow you to quickly monitor the features being employed by the connected device. This actually works better than I could have imagined offering game presets for multiple genres of games (FPS/RPG/RTS). Each has an affect on the image. FPS: will raise the black levels for competitive online gaming, making it harder for enemies to hide in the shadows While this is helpful for competitive play for single player games like Wolfenstein or Doom… it makes little difference and affects image quality negatively in some cases. RPG: seems to be a calibrated mode that offers natural image quality and clarity. Games like God of war and Gears of war look fantastic with this setting. RTS: Looks to increase colors a bit and seems to slightly sharpen the image, since character/environments are usually smaller and seeing your characters are key… this is a pretty great option. In game optimizer you can quickly change things like FPS, VRR, black level performance and are just a button press away from the full suite of settings. Gaming on modern consoles has been truly great on this display and for most user cases, it could be their perfect display. Here is quick overview of features: You get a native 120hz IPS panel with Nanocell filter (think Quantum dot) for expanded color gamut for HDR. The 120hz panel offers ultra fast response time for high frame games and smooth motion in most content. The panel employs a full array backlight with 32 local dimming zones to help improve contrast performance and help make HDR highlights pop. The is a relatively low amount of zones, but LG has done a decent job with making this work. Black level performance isn’t on par with the best VA based panels or OLED, but as far as IPS based display it is impressive for most usage. A bias light goes a long way toward perception of the blooming anomaly. On menu screens you can definitely see some blooming around loading icons and logos if you are slightly off angle or sitting close to the display., but the algorithm seems to adjust pretty quickly and it fades to minimum. In normal usage it does a better job with dimming where it needs too pretty quickly and highlighting areas for HDR. It is the one thing that I wish LG would improve on this otherwise extremely impressive display.

Went dead within first 30 days. Reset did nothing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my share of research and found this TV to be the best bang for you buck. I usually go with Samsung, but they dont offer Dolby vision unless you want to pay $500-$1k more vs LG brand. I was blown away replacing my 8 year old 1080p Samsung. The colors are soo contrast and lighting is amazing. I was really happy with this TV, while it worked. After 20 days, maybe 200 hours of on time, it would not turn on. I unplugged for 30 minutes, pushed and held the power button while unplugged for 30 seconds to drain any remaining power. Plugged back in and nothing, no sound no indication that it was turning on. Reset the remote, etc. Nothing. I'll give it another chance and exchange today, buying an extended warranty this time.

Dissapointing, looking at replacement already
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased this tv and already regretting it. I watch a lot of sports and the vertical banding issues that caused me to upgrade from my previous LG tv are way worse on this model. Had to turn off a hockey game because my eyes couldn't take it anymore. Will be getting a replacement
