"Is 4K really better? And is LG OLED the right technology?" These questions were answered with a resounding, "YES!" just hours after we set up our LG OLED55B7. The set requires a little set-up to find its system-wide sweet spot but features like one-button access to Netflix and Amazon Video, the "Magic" remote, and an ARC HDMI port make it well worth it. And that display! 0.0 Wow. We couldn't be more impressed with the picture - especially in how it handles blacks, a noticeable problem for the Samsung display we replaced. We're huge movie fans and can't wait to enjoy years of them on this TV.

Bought this TV a few days ago after viewing it in the store for months! Finally just bought it! And this tv is mind blowing picture is unmatched! Even non 4K material looks good Direct tv now through my Apple 4K is amazing! For the people who complain about the sound let me ask you this why in the world would you by a Tv like this and even consider not using a good sound bar or surround sound set up? A picture like this deserves the best sound! I ha e never purchased a tv based on the built in speakers!!!! Awesome Tv going to buy the 65” version for my other TV. Thank you LG!!!!

I bought this about two weeks ago and it is everything the reviews said it would be. The picture is spectacular. I've only had a chance to play one 4K HDR movie, but it is truly life-like. Even ordinary DVDs look so much better than on my old Samsung, which was actually a good TV itself. The sound is good, though not nearly in the same class as the picture. The only gripe I have is that the menu and remote are very antiquated in their design. Nothing bad, really, but just a fair amount of button-pushing to do anything. It is indeed a minor gripe and I would enthusiastically recommend this set to anyone.

My panel went bad at 18 months.

My 55" panel went bad at 18 months. The TV is useless and the company would not do anything. Make sure to buy an extended warranty from the retailer. LG doesn't stand behind their products. A corporate level supervisor told me "no man made product has an average lifespan." A person said this. Remember that the next time you see a 1 year warranty on a 3000 dollar piece of LG electronics.

Great color and apps. Internal speakers are adequate. When you hook up a sound bar the sound and lips do not always sync when using optic cable. Make adjustments and get them to sync change channels not in sync if you go back to the previous channel still don't sync. So make adjustments. If your stream something through fire stick always in sync. If you are hooked up directly to set top box always in sync. Trouble is when your are hooked up with optic cable from TV to sound bar. Changed to another HDMI input on TV then picture blinked on and off and still had problems with syncing. P

This a good tv, plain and simple. It’s light, relatively easy to set up, and looks good. With that being said I had a Samsung JU8500, older Samsung 4K TV and this tv doesn’t blow me away like I was hoping to feel with the upgrade to OLED. I also have the Dolby Atmos SJ9 soundbar and there is definitely a really bad lag in sound from TV. From my understanding, this seems like it occurs quite often with OLED TVs and me being somewhat a perfectionist, drives me crazy. I have not found a way to fix it, even when messing with sound sync settings through tv.

Fantastic picture with any 4K content, streaming or 4K discs. I can’t seem to get out of my man cave! Still playing with settings so I’m learning what works best. Picture quality from cable vision is good but you can tell that it’s not 4K, however it is still better than my previous tv’s. Haven’t really messed with the sound because i’m using a Zvox sound bar. I have noticed that it sounds better than previous tv with the Zvox but i’m not sure why. I’m using the optical output, same as previous tv. I would recommend getting help to set the tv up, it is light but seems a little fragile.

This TV is AMAZING!!! I was going to purchase a Sony 55 HDR non OLED. The Best Buy Rep showed me the OLED and I was hooked. This TV blows away any TV I have ever owned... I paired it with the Sonos Soundbar, Sub and two satellites....Also included the Sony 4k player... AMAZING!!! I felt like I got upsold at first.. but man Im glad he took the time to show me... cost me about $700 more then I would have paid but it is worth it. OLED is the only way to go.. and LG is a great choice.

This is a great TV and its worth the money. The picture quality is amazing. The screen is amazingly thin. Even the sound quality is great. I have a sound bar, but I was impressed with the sound quality of the TV itself. OLED is where its at. The magic remote is fantastic. Since LG made all of theIr 2017 tvs equal in quality this is a no brainer. Do yourself a favor and pick up this tv.

Figuratively, it will suck out your brain and leave you in a zombie type trance, like when you watched TV as a child. I wish I was exaggerating. My girlfriend and I walked by a store display of this model the other day. After coming to my senses 15 minutes later and remembering where I was, I researched it and found that BB had them on sale. With 24 month financing on my Best Buy CC, how could I say no. I didn't, btw, and now I have found true TV viewing Nirvana.

The built in apps suck. The only ones you may use are Youtube, Amazon Video and netflix. They should add directv now and such, but I don't think they care about that. The worst thing about the TV is the sound. If you go above 35 or 40, the sound fluctuates so much that it's sooooooooo annoying. The system doesn't know what you want to hear, the vocals or background sound so it switches back and fourth so much. The good part of the TV are the black levels. They are so amazing and 120 hertz is perfect for sports. No need for anything above this.

Returned a Sony X900E for this TV and couldn't be more happy. The picture is simply incredible on this TV; its hard to describe just how nice it is. Almost no tweaking of settings are needed to obtain a perfect picture. The main thing that bothered me about the X900E was its motion handling which although very good for a LED TV it couldn't compare to my Plasma. The OLED handles motion perfectly. I also love the design of the tv, very thin frame and the option menu is very easy to use. If you are considering purchasing this TV just do it; you will not regret it.

The picture is seriously everything that I'd hoped it would be. Simply amazing. I gave it 4 stars because the wireless performance was subpar. I ended up taking it back after I bought a whole home mesh system and the wireless performance did not improve. I would recommend it because I'm positive I bought a TV with a bad wireless card. It was a combination of the wireless card and the fact that it didn't have crunchyroll and funimation that made me get the Sony. Most people my age don't watch cartoons so they would love the LG.

I bought a Samsung UN8000 55 inch TV before Christmas. The picture was excellent but off center viewing was not so great. After getting some Best Buy gift certificates for Christmas, I went shopping again. I then stepped up and bought the LG B7 55 incher. Wow am I glad I did. Great, great picture, off center viewing was tremendous (much wider viewing angle) and I'm really glad I made the change, Just the best picture I've seen......4K Netflix shows are just astounding. Best Buy made the trade and swap very easy. Get this TV if you have the moola!

Picture is absolutely stunning, even makes old pre-HD shows look better. Haven’t watched any fast action sports or movies to comment on possible blur. But so far I’m highly pleased. If you are into cutting the cable cord, this smart TV makes it easy. It’s native OS is easy to learn and fairly intuitive. The Hulu Live TV app is currently a little different from what is for iPhone, iPad, or desktop. Netflix and Amazon Video seems to be no different. Ethernet connection makes it simple to add to home network.

This is without a doubt the best tv I have ever owned. I upgraded from a High End Samsung Plasma and just was not impressed by the black levels of the LED tv’s until OLED came out. The TV makes even lower resolution content look miles apart from any other TV. I’ve heard that the Sony sets have better motion processing, but I have yet to have an issue viewing fast moving content, including gaming. Speaking of which, a PS4 Pro playing 4K HDR games is absolutely amazing. Absolutely worth the price.

This TV has the best contrast and black levels of ANY TV I have ever seen or owned. The remote control with its built in microphone and incredibly accurate speech recognition is AMAZING! You have to program the remote to work with your Home Theater and other components. You can do this by pressing the input button on the remote control. When the screen opens highlight the inputs (one at a time) that you have hooked to your system then click on "Edit the remote control". Hope this helps...

Have viewed for only 2 months, but every time I turn it on, the images are beautiful. When I unpacked the tv, I thought it odd that it came with a glass mounting stand. Quite ingenious though. The tv appears to float; the stand becomes invisible. Also wanted a thin silver frame around the screen. Not the usual wide shiny black. This tv has very thin framework, with a nice silver line. Very thin screen. Make sure u read unpacking directions. The screen corners can easily crack if too much pressure is put on screen while lifting.

Really like the TV and has a slight learning curve with all of the features. The new firmware created a conflict with my Receiver, losing the ability for me to watch movies in Dolby Vision. LG and Onkyo claim they are working it out, but until then I am not able use the TV to its full potential without changing all of my cable routing. Otherwise very happy with the look thus far and like all of the picture settings including the new Technicolor option. Wish it also had the Direct TV option built in that other LGs and Samsungs have.

Although a bit of a learning curve w/ the remote....This TV is Awesome. One of my sons visited and said I need to upgrade from the Original Sharp Aquos 32" ($3200) in my living room (2004). I hesitated but was also going to eliminate entertainment center, too! Found 2017 reviews on CNET and was on verge of Sony Bravia x900e but decided to go higher. It was a good choice and I am improving w/ the remote (voice activation and field-to-field), used to Sony and Samsung w/ other recent tvs. The quality is truly remarkable!
