Once you go OLED you can never go back

In late spring I purchased an LG 65” OLED. To say I was blown away by the black levels, as well every other facet of the picture would be an understatement. A month back I decided to upgrade my bedroom tv (a 4 year old 50” LG) with a 4K, HDR tv. I did my research, and decided on a 49” full array LCD that was consistently rated as the best midrange tv to hit the shelves in 2017. Once it arrived and I set it up the picture was great, BUT it just didn’t compare to the OLED in my media room. I kept it for three weeks thinking maybe I could eventually settle for second best. Not the case, as I returned it and was going to stick with my original LG, but before I knew it, I was leaving Best Buy with my new 55” LG OLED. Sure it was almost double the price (of course it is 6” bigger than the 49”) but OLED displays truly spoil you for any other technology. By the way, this tv does a fantastic job of upscaling non 4K content. It’s a winner!!!!

This TV has everything (web browser, Netflix, Youtube, and Amazon tv), but also supports everything the new 4k standard has to offer (HDR, Dolby Vision, Technicolor HDR (network tv standard) (at a later date but Technicolor expert for now). If you buy this tv your will be utterly blown away by the quality of everything LG has included in this package (settings, sound (Dolby Atmos True HD playback over HDMI), etc.) You can't go wrong with this tv. I have recommended and shown it to a number of friends and family, and they are blown away by the picture quality (gaming, network tv, Netflix, sports television, etc.)

The LG OLED55C7P is a huge upgrade for me. It offers 4k Dolby Vision and HDR 10. OLED makes everything look amazing. The interface takes a minute to get use too coming from Samsung, but it works nicely. I really enjoy this product and would recommend it to everyone. The major upgrade for getting the C7 over the B7 is getting HDR10 in addition to Dolby Vision. HDR10 is not available on the B7. Go to the store and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Love this TV. Picture quality is outstanding. Colors are great and the blacks are truly black. It's so light and easy to maneuver. Only criticism is it seems very quiet and we need to increase volume to a high number or use surround sound.

The contrast on this tv is out of this world. The fact that pixels can shut down individually makes an enormous difference. The downside of OLED is the fact that it can have artifacting issues with some cluttered and fast moving scenes with lower definition content. Out-of-the-box settings aren’t going to cut it. You can eliminate much of the artifacts by adjusting your settings and you’ll want to adjust settings for each of your sources. Once you do you’ll be very happy with the amazing definition, contrast, and color you get out of this set. Settings can be tricky for some but there are plenty of great articles online to walk you through them. For the price I think this is tough to beat.

The color and vividness on this LG is second to none. I really research anything I buy, and when the price came down substantially on this LG, I took the plunge. I did have to tweek the settings to get the picture I saw at BB, but after that, I just sit now and enjoy the experience. One annoying thing that happens occasionally is the TV re-setting itself after it gets updates via WIFI. A message pops up saying this is about to happen, but happens quickly so you can not cancel that upgrade until a later time. Maybe there is a setting to adjust this, but I have not gone through all of the many settings this TV has. This should not deter you from wanting to purchase this set. I could get into more specifics, but you can read the over 1000+ reviews of the B7 and C7 for yourself on BB's site.

Worth every penny. Colors are stunning. Black is like coal. Easy interface and the set up is simple. Sound is surprisingly good and haven’t felt the need to turn on my home theater. Got a great deal on a price match. Very happy.

I had the LG OLED TV for three months. It is an amazing tv with an unbelievable picture quality at any seating position. Colors are so vivid especially when viewing ULtra 4K content. Geek Squad set up the TV with the Definitive Technology Micro W sound bar and a LG 4K DVD player that I ordered with the TV. They did a great job setting up all the components. I would highly recommend this TV for those who want the best viewing experience on a 55" screen

Purchased in May. Not my first choice as I was looking for Sony that was not available. Ended up purchasing the LG OLED floor model and do not regret one bit. As I was hesitant due to the burnin problem with the 55 C7 models. However, now I realize and appreciate the purchase. Have watched several 4 K movies and it’s like night and day from my Samsung from 2008. Colors are rich and blacks are accurate. Sometimes too accurate as my room has a bit more light. Because the panel is glass we have experience a bit of glare. Which was expected and clearly evident on the showroom floor. Issues easily overcome by slight adjustments in the room. Kids have tested the Xbox One S, PS4 slim, and Nintendo Switch on it. Each console performs exceptional. TV has 4 HDMI inputs (3 useable as the HDMI 2 (ARC) passes sound out to soundbar) as a result they swap between consoles as the other ports are consumed by other devices. Not a big issue, but I did find a dead pixel after about a day of use. Have not had it repaired yet as it’s minor and really don’t want it out of service to fix. I have tried the built in pixel refresh feature which did not resolve the issue. As for sound, definitely look to a sound bar or a sound system, as the built in speakers are weak on deep bass. Although the TV decodes Dolby Atmos, May not fully appreciate until a real external system capable of decoding Atmos is connected. In this case, I have the LG SJ9 to do just that.

    OLED The Only Way

Second OLED, first 4K OLED. This one was for the master bedroom, so additional external sound not required. Other considerations for 4K were the Samsung QLED and Sony. PRO's: Best Picture, various HDR capabilities, set-up easy (out of the box, connected to Wi-Fi, cable box, 4k Blu-ray player, Apple TV, and running in about 20 minutes). CON's: OLED's are highly reflective if you have light from behind you. This was not a problem since it is for the master bedroom. Remote still takes getting used to, but this turns on/off my cable box (Spectrum) and maneuvers the on screen cable guide.

I saw this LG TV a couple of years ago while looking for a new TV. The set stood out over everything else in the showroom in terms of color, contrast, etc., but walked away when I saw the over $2000+ price. Fast forward to earlier this year, and now the set had dropped around $600. I bought it, and sold my 2 year old big screen. This LG OLED is awesome in terms of color, contrast, sound, features, etc. Read the reviews on this TV. I think there are over 1600+ with a rating of 4.8 out of a possible 5. Somewhere around 96 to 98% favorable. Even network TV looks good, and if you have cable, the Discovery channel specials look especially eye popping. I know I will have this TV for quite some time.

I read all the glowing reviews by the tech sites and magazines and the praise couldn't be more well deserved. I thought that my 2015 Samsung TV had excellent clarity and definition, but this new LG OLED redefines what high definition can be. The "absolute blacks" create pictures that seem to jump out at you. The picture is so good that I find myself marveling at the clarity and not paying attention to the content. LG has really set a new standard

Smart and flat screen tvs now come in all price levels. The latest technology is OLED (no other initials, as Samsung's QLED is not the same.). While this is a bit more pricey, if you are picky about the image you watch, then this is it. This tv is less expensive than the same size Sony, with a few different features relating to sound. I use a sound bar, so those differences were irrelevant to me. For the money, you can't get a better tv.

I needed a new 55" flat screen (so it would fit into a cabinet I have) and started looking at brands/models $500 and under. To make a long story short, I ended up buying this OLED LG for many reasons: The picture is absolutely perfect, the TV capability is state-of-the-art, the viewing angle is nearly 180 degrees (so why buy a curved screen?), the refresh is the best I've seen (although I needed to spend a bit more for higher bandwidth) and there are more reasons. Yes - This TV cost me about 3x the price I originally targeted. But once you review it's specs and actually watch it, many of you will also see the added value at the higher price.

Wow! This OLED TV has an outstanding picture. Movies are great on this monitor along with the HDR. I understand why this OLED got top honors. My only problem is the voice match up on certain programs. I understand it has been a problem and that's probably due with the cable company and the FCC not on the same page. Although I could be wrong. Hope this will be taken care of soon. Still though, the LG OLED is still fantastic!

Okay let me start off by saying that you can’t find a tv that will give you the purest blacks like this. I use this tv for my Xbox one x and it definitely delivers to what it says it does! Best investment I ever made, I only wish I got a bigger size but hey 55 inches is not bad at all! If you are looking for the best of the best, this TV is for you, if your just looking for a regular tv then just stick a 4K tv on sale. Everyone of my friends that sees it wants one. Definitely get one!

Before I purchased this TV I had a Samsung 4K TV. The picture was nice and it was a smart TV and it had applications and they were nice. However particularly were sports were concerned there was a lot of pixelation motion blur. Also with my PlayStation four pro there was lots of motion blur as well. This television Has none of that. The picture is perfect and so much better than anything I’ve ever seen before.
