It’s a pretty good tv besides how bad the flashlight affect on the sides of the tv. Picture is good, sound is pretty good. The features are good for the money just the spots are very bad at night or when dark.

A STELLAR TV with Top Tier quality! Well done LG

The pictures below does not compare to how beautifully PS5 games are running on this tv. Picture: The picture quality on this tv is crisp, with vibrant colors, sharp picture and no input lag even with online gaming. HDR content in PS5 games/other media allows them, like Returnal, for an even more stellar experience on this tv. This TV further showcases every spec of detail in the Returnal’s signature particle effects. All movies and tv shows are also streaming beautifully at 4K as well. Sound: WOW, I was shocked at the sound quality. It’s basically a mini sound system, so if you can’t immediately buy a sound bar or system, the sound on this tv is of great quality. It’s loud and clear with a surprisingly good bass. LG TV Features: The smoothest UI I’ve ever dealt with for a tv. It’s fast, responsive and running at 4K. This awesome tv even has built in Airplay for iPhone users— AIRPLAY! The magic remote is great too. It feels like a like a Wii Remote when I use the pointer xD Overall, it’s 5/5 stars, excited to play and watch so many things with this TV! Amazing job to LG for this masterpiece!

    Wonderful Television Full Of Options

I asolutely love his television. The 8000 series has so much to offer. First, the color is bright, vibrant, and even through the screen. The 55" fits prefectly in our family room and the feet offer a stable platform for sitting on the 48" TV cabinet; it doesn't seem top-heavy or feel like it could easly tip over, again very stable. I love the bluetooth connectivity, connecting to the Sony sound bar and satellite speakers in our room was easy to complete. Setting the television up was a breeze and taking full use of the internet and the supplied apps was also easy. In addition, adding more apps was fun and opened up even more watching options. Last, connecting to the blue-ray player (and the ancient DVD player) was also easy and switching from sources and surfing the apps is most enjoyable. I can't say one negative thing about this beauty!!!

First of all to get the most out of this tv you have to change the factory settings. Its just too dark.Immeditely turn off the power saver and true motion It will brighten and look alot clearer. After that just do some research and adjust to your taste.Everything else is good.It has all the typicsl smart tv bells and whistles.Above average sound but I would still recommend using a sound bar and or speakers

I bought this to replace a similar 6 - 7 year old LG LED TV that went out. After searching several review sites and doing the side by side comparison on BestBuy.com I liked the specs and reviews for this TV over comparable models from other companies in this price range. A couple things that sold me over others was viewing angle and number of HDMI inputs (3 vs 2). After setting it up at home, I am thoroughly pleased with how it looks and sounds from all seats in my living room. Viewing it from an angle is as great as I had read and was way better at home than what it looked like from the floor model. The colors are very vibrant even on power saving mode. The vivid setting almost seemed too bright and power saving mode is as good as the TV I had. For the price, I honestly could not ask for anything better. I'm sure under the perfect setup a higher OLED model would look better, but I'm very satisfied with how this TV performs. The "magic" remote is also easy to use and responsive. It also offers a nice lineup of Smart TV apps, but I cannot write up much about those since I still just like to run off a Roku for streaming.

I purchased the LG 55UP8000PUA HDTV based on its price and professional review that gave it hit high marks for viewing angles. For the most part I'm happy with it. The overall picture quality is good but not great. Colors and brightness are good. Blacks are actually a little better than expected. The viewing angles are just OK though and not as good as I hoped. There is also light bleeding around the edges which is not totally unexpected on an inexpensive IPS panel. Considering that I paid well less than 1/2 what an OLED HDTV would have cost me and I'm using this TV in my basement not my living room, I'm satisfied.

I'm giving 5 stars but I wanted to give 4 1/2 stars. This LG 55" UP8000 is a great TV. Picture, sound settings, the ability to add my Sony XM4 bluetooth headphones, the PRICE are all great. The TV speakers sound loud and robust. This TV allows me to utilize my SONY soundbase as well as the speakers AT THE SAME TIME. Set to surround with a medium value yields awesome audio quality. That is a big thumbs-up. WebOS seems great and best of all doesn't get in the way or do anything weird so that's AOK. The picture from Verizon FIOS cable is fabulous as is the picture quality I'm getting from Amazon prime, Netflix and YouTube. My only gripe is the LG "Magic" remote which adds an occasionally fairly annoying "cursor" that moves over the screen along with the movements of the remote. It can be temporarily disabled but not permanently disabled. It is as weird as it sounds. Come on LG, give a way to turn that "cursor" off for good. It feels gimmicky and takes a half a star away from what is otherwise an excellent value Smart TV. I just picked up a 65" Sony Bravia from Best Buy as well and that TV is amazing as one would expect, but the biggest difference from that TV to this beyond the price and the size are that with the Sony - the picture is pretty much set right out of the box. With the LG, I had to watch a couple of YouTube videos and read 2 articles to get the maximum out of the LG. I love this TV tho so it is hard to find fault with this set. I also got the 5 year Geek Squad just in case this TV gives up the ghost like my previous TV (a 3 year old Insignia 55" which this TV leaves in the dust for roughly the same price). If you want a great TV and don't want to pay SONY prices and you are comfortable "tuning" the picture up to suit you, do not hesitate to purchase this TV.

Upgraded from an LG 47" Plasma TV to an LG 55" 4k LED Smart TV. What a difference! The clarity and sound surpass our 9 yr. old LG TV! We're very impressed. Also, it is so light. Had no issues picking it up. The only thing I'm displeased about, is that since this Model was manufactured only 1 month ago, there aren't any User Manuals available for it online. The Owner's Manual that comes with it was not a big help. It does have a User Guide embedded in the TV, but I prefer my manuals on Paper, so I can have it in front of me... All in all, this is an awesome TV..

Good tv, Upgraded from a 10 year old 43' Vizio a big deference in picture and sound. Liked the clear voice setting on the sound. It took some time to get use to using the magic remote, I found the wheel was over sensitive and difficult to control the pointer on the screen. Fast action a little blurred but that's what you get with 60hz. Have no other complaints. Fairly good value for money got it on Best buy sale. Wish I could upgrade to 8k but to much money for those tv's !! Overall, good TV for the money.

This was one of the easiest setups for an HD TV that I have experienced. There is a short setup guide included in the packaging and in illustrated fashion it describes how to set up and connect the device. I was able to get it up and running in less than 30 minutes. The picture is great, although at this point I have no 4K content to view. The remote is easy to work with and connects easily with both my Direct TV box and Roku TV.

So far so good. Haven’t had a chance to watch it much but color is much better than the TCL 55” we returned. We thought picture quality was better also. The main reason we returned the other one was due to the remote. We wanted one with the number pad on it as it’s for our condo rental. This model actually had a picture of the remote on the box.

I love the remote for this tv. It works very well. It functions like a wii mote. The tv has a good picture and the holiday sale made it a great buy. The only down side is that they promised that all my of TVs could share the same image at the same time. I can’t seem to get it to work. When I look it up online it says just push this button and it magically works. That bitten is no longer there. They did an update and now it is missing and so is the functionality.
